  1. Quick search bar (like M-Files)

    Implementation of a quick search bar, just like M-Files has. It automatically searches from metadata and file content. Just like Google basically but internally.

  2. Export to Excel file

    Currently we have the option to Export to CSV file. In our environment we work with file type: .xlsx
    Is it possible to add an option to Export as Excel file as when you use the CSV list and you update information, you lose your changes and are forced to first store it as an .xlsx file before editing.

  3. Allow users to search a range of addresses

    It would be nice to have the ability to search for a range of numbers, say we have data for 1 Main St through 10 Main St, and have the information for just the data in this range.

  4. When searching user management for 'active', return all active users. When searching for 'inactive' return inactive users.

    DocuWare admins need this kind of data returned quickly and reliably to prevent the need for any sort of user deletion policy, functionality which DocuWare does not have.
    Recently I was asked for an export (yes an export) of inactive users, so great was their need for a quick and easy way to search for this info.

  5. CRLF Delimited Value Search against a search field

    Sometimes we are presented a list of Invoices / POD's we need to search for, Using the current method you have to separate the values with OR, ie. Doc1 OR Doc2 OR.... (upto 7) It would be nice to paste in a CRLF delimited list into the search box for 2~200+ items

  7. "does not contain" filter for keyword type fields in index value profiles

    When creating a index value profile, you should be able to rule out documents with certain entries in a keyword database field without using SQL Statements

  8. Filter pop-up window: apply via the <enter> key

    In the result view: if you configure a filter on a column. You need to apply with a mous click.
    Why not with an <enter> keystroke.
    Saves time and is more logical, because you enter filtercriteria

  9. Multi select filter option in resultview

    In the resultview you can use the column filter. But you can only select one of the available entries.

    Can we select multiple entries. f.e. filter in country-index in the result I want "Netherlands" and "Germany" lines

  10. fulltext version 7.6 does not work searching on several indices with a space, without using "OR"

    add the possibility of searching several indexes in all fields, e.g. 1234 1235 1236 without the need to enter "OR", e.g. 1234 OR 1235 OR 1236

  11. Make the search field of the support portal automatically do wildcard searches

    In the web client, you can set a field to automatically do wildcard searches. But when entering a support ticket, I always have to add an '*' as a prefix and as a suffix to try to find the correct type.

  12. Date Field Search Dialog - Predefined Entry using Calculated Value i.e. SQL DATEADD(Month,-1,GETDATE())

    We have a large number of documents (some filecabinets > 15m documents) We would like to add variable predefined entry in the search dialog to Prevent users from doing open ended searches on large datasets. currently it only seems to support a static min date and max date.

  13. Highlight Search Poor Performance

    The new highlight search is a great new feature. However in its current implementation the performance is poor compared to a search dialog search on an exact string match.

    For example.

    A string search on our database for a customer reference in a regular search dialog takes around 0.3 seconds. A search using the new highlight search took 20 seconds!

    I believe the issue is that the search type used in the new highlight search feature is using a LIKE query which in turn is also passed to the SQL database as a LIKE query also, making the database search…

  15. Highlight Search

    The new Highlight Search feature added to SmartConnect has a major design flaw. You specify a search dialog and one field to search but Highlight Search IGNORES all the specific criteria set in the selected search dialog which means it returns way more documents then the user expects. Example: I have an Accounting Documents - Purchase Order search that searches Doctype = Purchase Order and PO Number is the field that Highlight Search is configured to use. I highlight a PO Number in my accounting software and DocuWare Highlight Search returns the PO, Invoice, Check, Packing List, etc. even though…

  16. Search Parameter for Length

    If you are expecting a certain number of characters for a specific index field and you want to search for all the documents containing an index with that many characters. This could help people find improperly indexed values within their filing cabinets and allow for cleaner databases.

  17. provide a method of public access to docuware repositories

    We are getting many requests both from existing customers and prospects for the ability to provide access to public record or read/only documents to a pool of users. Many are municipalities. Currently there is no way to share a pool of read only users or a way to accomplish this with Docuware cloud as far as I know of so we have to recommend alterntatives.

  18. Add Employee Number in Name Search

    Is there any way to add the employee number next to the name drop down when searching an employee? If I search Bob Smith, it will pull the files for all Bob Smiths in our system, but if you have the employee number next to the name it will be easier to populate just that one Bob Smith when searching.

  19. Add manual entry feature to Smart Connect

    In our environment, the OCR portion of Smart Connect has proven to be extremely unreliable. We would like to request a feature where you can enter a Smart Connect key combination and a dialog window pops up into which you can manually enter a search term or phrase (such as a patient ID) and have a search performed using that term.

    We currently do not plan anything accordingly. Mainly because there will be new funtionality with the next DocuWare Version 7.4 in Smart Connect and I believe this functionality will help you solving your desired use case. There will be a functionality where Smart Connect will not rely on OCR but search for the element you have highlighted in the software.

  20. Add a behavior to index fields in the search dialog

    For instance, say that the top index field is called "Department" and there are 10 departments listed. Each department will have different documents and index fields that are unique to them.

    When someone selects "Human Resources" as the Department, then a set of index fields will appear based upon that selection. Like an eForm "behavior".
