1. Possibility to add individual help text in dialogs

   Especially for new employees it would help if you could add help text or bubbles next to the index fields in search and store dialogs, where you can provide useful hints and descriptions what this field is about and if there are some special things to take care...

   This would make on-boarding of new employees a lot easier.

2. Ability to email select pages

   Currently the "Send" feature allows you to email the whole document, or the current page. It would be great if you could choose which pages you wanted to send. If I have a 10 page document and I want to send 4 pages of it, I either have to send 4 separate "one page" emails, or I have to send the job to the doc tray, unstaple the job, clip together the pages I want, and then send them.

3. Expand on the "Send Request" feature

   The "Send Request" feature seems to already contain a lot of functionality, but for some reason the access has been made limited. The ability to export "Send Requests" with user, decision, and show everyone who still needs to make a decision would be extremely valuable. It appears all the data is collected in the database, we just don't have access to it.

5. Be able to search for documents by what user stored them

   When I am doing quality data checks on our documents that are stored in Docuware, it would be much easier to be able to search by what user stored the documents, not what what the document is/when it was stored.

6. More than one field shown in Select Lists

   Enable to have select list with two columns, one for ID and another for description (for example list of partners). It is easier for user to select among description that among 8000 partner IDs.

7. Bring back the Print Result List button

   Previous versions of the thick client had a Print Result List button that would print a result list directly to a printer. I have customers that use this to report on recently stored documents. Now they have several more steps to work around this missing button.
   The older Thick client -
   1. Search for documents.
   2. Click button to print result list. - - It would be printed directly to a printer. (In a readable format.)

   The Web Client.
   1. Search for documents.
   2. Click button and select copy to CSV.
   3. Open CSV in excel.
   4. Select first Column.
   5. Select Data Tab.
   6. Select Text to Columns button.
   7. Select delimited and then click Next.
   8. Select semicolon and then click next.
   9. Select Finish.
   10. Select OK.
   11. Print.

   Currently you can download the resultlist as an csv file and open this in Excel to print it.

8. allow Users to set their own default values for fields

   We currently have the ability to set default values for fields in the store dialogs. These defaults are tied to the store dialog itself though so if you wanted to set up different defaults for different users you'd have to create separate store dialogs. It would be great if Users could set their own defaults.

   One way that could work is to add a "Set Defaults" menu item to the context menu for the store dialog (see attached screenshot). To use it the user would fill out the store dialog with their desired defaults in some (or all) of the fields and then select the "Set Defaults".

   We currently have the ability to set default values for fields in the store dialogs. These defaults are tied to the store dialog itself though so if you wanted to set up different defaults for different users you'd have to create separate store dialogs. 11. Allow us to create dynamic store dialogues

    I think it would be great if you could allow us to create dynamic store dialogues which could alter their layout depending on the document type chosen (or any other pre defined field for that matter).

    For example, lets define a "key" field of a file cabinet store dialogue and lets say its the "document type" and we also give this a predefined select list. Then we may have many other fields of this cabinet but not all of these other fields may relate to each of the possible document types. It would be very useful and help guide the user when it comes to storing a document if we could specify which fields should be available and/or required when a specific document type is selected.

    Of course if the number of fields and document types is small it would be possible to simply setup a few different store dialogues but if there is more than 10 (which is common) then it simply becomes too messy and cluttered when you click the store button.

12. same filecabinet dialog

    I want the ability to share dialog configuration in Search, Store, Result view (index dialog).

    For example, whenever I assign a select list to a field, I have to configure in every single dialog. Same when configuring other kind of restrictions and field ordering.

    Current way of configuring allows administrator to commit mistakes when creating or updating dialogs configurations when they want to have them all alike.

13. Email Notifications - File Cabinet vs Individual Users

    Docuware admins should be able to set a single email notification template for a file cabinet. Currently, admins must create an email notification for each user in the cabinet, which requires a lot of administrative overhead.

    Please allow the ability to set a notification template at the file cabinet level.

15. Restore the ability to Attach, Delete, or Skip when pre-indexing

    Previous versions of DocuWare (Windows Client) allowed the user to essentially staple pages to a document when in the Storage Mask. The user would select a group of documents from a Basket and drag them to a store dialog, and click the pre-indexing check box. When clicked, this would enable three new buttons, Attach, Delete and Skip. This allowed the user to construct documents by attaching, deleting or skipping pages while indexing, without having to go back to a basket or tray. This was a big time saver in the Windows Client, and a big time waster when trying to accomplish the same function using the Web Client without these buttons.

16. Share a document with an external (not docuware) user for a restricted period of time

    It would be AWESOME that i could share a big file in my DW system (for example the Docuware Main Brochure - 8 MB that i can't send by email) with prospects through a link. Have them be able to access that document only for a restricted period of time like 3 days, time in which they can download the document (no editing, just viewing and downloading).

17. Allow for reset of pre-indexed fields in Document Tray

    When using the autofill indexing to store multiple documents in the document tray to a file cabinet, using the "Reset" button does not clear all fields in the store dialog. Understanding that this may be by design, there should be an option to reset all fields or just the fields that don't apply to the pre-filled index fields.

18. Add .ptx files as a supported file

    Adding .ptx file format would be beneficial to Docuware because there are law firms and court systems that use this type of file format for their records. This is a standard form of file type for law firms, attorneys and court houses across the nation.

19. Add the ability to set a stamps max width/height

    Currently, stamps with lots of text in Form Fields for notes, long names, etc flow off the page and are difficult to view as the stamp text is placed on one single line. If the user enters 255 characters of text to the field of the stamp, they cannot place stamp on document.

    Suggestion is to to allow for a Max Width and Max Height options when creating a stamp. This will allow a user to enter as much text as desired and the content of the stamp will still be visible on the page.

20. Customize the CSV export from the DocuWare WebClient

    It would be great if we the admins or even the users can customize the order and the fields that are displayed when they use the export to CSV file option in DocuWare.

    As of right now it is showing all the fields that the user has access to. and the order is also not the same as the task list/result list the user is looking at.
