Show old versions button has disappeared
In version 6.11 users can display out of date and current versions in the same results list by clicking on "Show old versions" button. This button doesn't existe anymore in DocuWare 7 and 7.1, it is replaced by contextual menu (righ click > Version overview) but it is not exactly the same. This new feature displays versions in a separate result list which is not possible to cutomize. Moreover, this Version Overview shows only versions of one document, it is not possible to search for several documents' version at the same time

Cloud Desktop App Updates
Desktop App minor updates are currently delivered automatically when they are released. This occurs quite frequently, about once a week. These frequent client updates represent a high IT overhead for proper release cycles and needs to be refactored for a longer cadence.

From version 7.5 on the update for the Desktop Apps does not need admin privileges anymore, so all users can update the Apps by themselves at any time. -
Improve performance of Web Client and Configuration.
All features of the Web Client and Configurations could use improvements on performance. It doesn't even compare to the thick client performance. It feels like the old days constantly waiting for web pages to show up.

Senden... Funktion verbessern
Über die Briefkörbe bzw. Suche kann man die Funktion "Senden..." bei einem Dokument aufrufen.
Wählt man dort z.B im Originalformat aus, dann öffnet sich zwar ein neues Mail, das gesamte Outlook im Hintergrund ist dann aber nicht mehr bearbeitbar. Das heißt, man kann ggf. nicht etwas aus einem anderen Mail kopieren o.ä.Ebenso wäre es unglaublich hilfreich, wenn man über diese Funktion Signaturen hinterlegen könnte.

Leider ist dieses Verhalten Standard bei Outlook. Auch wenn Sie aus dem Explorer heraus mit dem Kontextmenü eine Datei versenden ist nur das neue Mailfenster aktiv und das Hauptfenster von Outlook unbedienbar. Andere E-Mail-Programme verhalten sich besser.Auf dieses Verhalten haben wir leider keinen Einfluss.

meines Wissens ist es mit DW 7.0 nicht möglich Hilfe-Meldungen zu unterdrücken - hier im Beispiel ist es der WF-Manager - den Kunden stören diese Hilfe-Texte

Diese Tooltips stellen unserer Erfahrung nach eine gute Möglichkeit dar, Benutzern die Möglichkeit zu geben besser die Funktion eines Buttons zu verstehen.
Tooltips werden auch nur angezeigt, wenn der Benutzer den Mauszeiger eine gewisse Zeit über dem Button liegen lässt.
Wir haben keine Planung, diese Hilfefunktion wieder abzuschalten. -
Do not use a Client License when user is logged out of Web Client but still is still connected to DocuWare Desktop
We were told by DocuWare Support that if DocuWare Desktop has an active connection then it will not consume a license. This is a major flaw in licensing a tremendous burden on the end user. After logging out of the Web Client, end users will need to open up DocuWare Desktop > Connections > highlight activated Connections > Remove each connection in order to be officially logged out of DocuWare to not take up a client license. Then they will need to re-Connect to Desktop Apps every time they log back into DocuWare if they are going to scan, import,…
3 votesDocuWare Desktop applications does not comsume a client license. Even if the user is storing documents directly to the system, there is no license consumed. So it is not needed to remove connections in order to be logged out.

Field entry matchs standard Web functionality
- If there is already a field filled in, but it’s wrong, it won’t replace when highlighted, the user has to manually wipe it out.
- If you type very fast, it will leave out letters. I believe it is accessing the select list as you type, but if you want to just type an entire word, even though you keep typing, it is trying to access the select list after a couple of letters, but then it realizes you are still typing so it then shows the letters you are typing, but it misses the letters you typed while it was…
3 votesI will inform the reponsible product manager about this issue but will close the idea as this semms to be more of a faulty behavior that needs to be investigated by our Support team in a support case. Thank you for understanding.

Edit a stored zip file
Please restore the ability to edit a stored zip file. We lost this functionality in going from v7.1 to v7.5. Now we get a "file type is not supported error".

There was no change between the mentioned versions. But be aware, that zip-files can only be edited with a third-party applications like 7-zip. Using the default Windows Explorer will not work and has never worked before.

bulk import
Rather than using Desktop Client Import Tool to get new docs in, can we bulk upload the docs to the FTP folder to avoid the slow processing times?
Wehave to import 50,000 documents and it is taking weeks to bulk import.

Chris2 votesSure you can upload to the FTP folder, but you cannot do any document recognition by this. The slow processing comes mainly because the Desktop Import does text recognition and already stores the files with index entries to a file cabinet.

URL-Integration ohne Base64-Codierung und ohne Verschlüsselung
Eine beim Kunden verwendete Anwendung kann zwar Integrations-URLs erstellen, jedoch nur ohne Base64-Codierung und ohne Verschlüsselung. Wünschenswert ist, dass zumindest bei Integrations-URLs, bei denen keine Authentifizierungsinformationen (Windows-Authentifizierung) oder andere geheime Informationen mitgegeben werden, auf Codierung und Verschlüsselung verzichtet werden kann.

DocuWare administration application and fully qualified domain name (FQDN)
Currently, DocuWare administration application is not able to connect to the DocuWare server if we mention the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the DocuWare server instead of Server IP Address in the Docuware Administration login screen.
We are mentioning the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the DocuWare server because the PC from which the user is accessing Docuware administration application is a part of a different domain than the server.
It would be great if we can mention the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the DocuWare server instead of the IP address in the Docuware Administration login…

Unfortunately, due to several factors we are currently not able to plan this idea for a future version. We are completely concentrating on our web based configurations in the future. And in my opinion, the DocuWare Administration should be able to work already with the name. We use this for our cloud customers. -
Issue with "localwebservice" Value in Version 7.11
During the installation of DocuWare version 7.11, we encountered an issue related to the dwmachine.config file located in C:\ProgramData\DocuWare\ServerConfig.
Specifically, the value of the localwebservice field is automatically modified to an incorrect value during the upgrade process. This change causes certain critical functionalities to stop working after the installation is complete.
We kindly request that you investigate and address this behavior in future updates to ensure the correct value is either retained or automatically set during the installation process.I already opened a ticket but your support team replied to use the uservoice forum.

Ich wende mich im Forum bzgl. des Sachverhalts mit der Vorkontierung, Übergabe und Vorerfassung von Rechnungen von, die unter der Nummer des FIBU-Hauptobjekts (in unserer Organisation – 50000) eingegangen sind, und diese sollten an die Unter-Objekte (von 50001 bis 50044 soweit) weiterverteilt und weiterbearbeitet werden. Die Filter aus den Aufgaben wurden entfernt und dann funktioniert die Verteilung wunschgemäß. Meine Frage an Sie wäre: könnten die angesprochenen Filter nur für eine bestimmte Objekt-Gruppe ausgeschaltet/entfernt (in unserem Fall die Objekte von der 50000-Reihe) bleiben, und für die anderen Objektgruppen wieder eingeschaltet werden?

Make white pages in the DocuWare Viewer appear white
Make pages that should be white in appearance, show that way in the DocuWare Viewer. Seems a lot of pages show as a dingy gray.

Löschen der Aufgaben die als "gelöscht" eingespeichert sind
Die Aufgaben die schon bearbeitet worden sind und damit als "gelöscht" dort stehen, bleiben einfach anstatt richtig gelöscht zu werden. Dadurch steht oben immer eine hohe Anzahl von Aufgaben obwohl es keine aktiven Aufgaben mehr sind.

A required fields in store dialog affect documnet processing
When I adding required fields in store dialog and then go to document processing I see the notification that configuration will not work properly. Like this:
"This configuration will not work due to the following errors. Do you want to save it nevertheless?• The following fields must not remain empty • Contract Type"Below the list of required fields from store dialog
