Vorbereitung von Ordnerstrukturen im Windows Explorer Client
Im Windows Explorer Client sollte es möglich sein, leere Ordnerstrukturen aus dem Dateisystem zu importieren (etwa als Aktenordnung für Projektakten). Hierbei sollten leere Ordner als Datenbank-Eintrag ohne Dokument angelegt werden.

Improve user notification when Desktop Apps stop unexpectedly
Currently, when Desktop Apps stop unexpectedly, for example due to DocuWare login issues, no notification is sent to users by the system. As a result, users become aware of the issue only after job failures have occurred.
Even if the system cannot directly detect whether Desktop Apps have stopped, it would be very helpful to provide some form of notification or guidance to users. For example, when a login error occurs, displaying a message such as:
“Desktop Apps may not be running. Please check the status and manually restart Desktop Apps if necessary.”This kind of notification would help users…

Dokumente auf Import Warnung in einen Fehlerbriefkorb legen
Dokumente, die aus irgend einem Grund eine Warnung in der Desktop App erzeugen sollen nicht direkt ins Ziel abgelegt werden sondern wenn möglich in einen Fehlerbriefkorb/Standardbriefkorb. Ein Benutzer arbeitet in der Regel hauptsächlich mit dem Docuware Client und nicht in der Desktop App von daher kann er dort einen solchen Fehler eher beheben. Das macht in der Regel dann Sinn wenn es einen Zentralen Import Server gibt und dieser Zentral viele Dokumente verarbeitet. Ein erneuter Ablegeversuch führt bei den meisten Kunden nur zur Verwirrung und doppelter Archivierung.

Highlight Search über mehrere Archive
Aktuell muss man je Archiv eine Highlight Search erstellen, also habe ich bei 2 Archivräumen auch 2 Tastenkombinationen. Dies multipliziert sich mit der Anzahl der Archivräume. Was mir fehlt ist eine Highlight Search über mehrere Archive, mit einer Tastenkombination. Perfektionieren könnte man das sogar noch, wenn man die Möglichkeit hätte, die Anzahl der Archive frei zu wählen. Also Highlight Search soll zugreifen auf Archiv A+ B und soll nicht zugreifen auf Archiv C + D, da mitunter ja sonst auch Ergebnisse aus Hilfsarchiven eingeblendet würden.

WEC: Möglichkeit zum Lösen vom Schnellzugriff (ohne Verlust sämtlicher Einträge im Schnellzugriff)
Über den Windows Explorer ist es möglich, DocuWare-„Ordner“ oder Briefkörbe dem Windows Schnellzugriff hinzuzufügen. So kann man beispielsweise den „Ordner“ eines aktuellen Projektes dem Schnellzugriff anheften. Diese Möglichkeit ist grundsätzlich gut und unbedingt beizubehalten.
Wenn man dann jedoch einen Ordner oder Briefkorb aus dem Schnellzugriff wieder entfernen möchte ist dies aktuell leider nicht praktikabel möglich. Bei Rechtsklick auf den Ordner im Schnellzugriff fehlt der notwendige Eintrag „Von Schnellzugriff lösen“ im sich öffnenden Kontextmenü (oder der Windows Explorer stürtzt ab und schließt sich ohne Fehlermeldung).
Vom Support wurde mir als „Lösung“ für das Entfernen vom Schnellzugriff genannt:

Smart Connect
Uns fehlt die Möglichkeit, nicht nur die Titelleiste auszulesen, sondern auch andere Bereiche des Fensters. Leider können wir Smart Connect so kaum nutzen, da uns in verschiedenen Anwendungen die Informationen in der Titelleiste fehlen, um eine Suche starten zu können.

Smartconnect use readonly license
Smartconnect cannot use the readonly client without installing the webservices on a second web server. Please add the ability to have Smartconnect use the readonly license without having to make the whole platform services site read only. This worked in previous versions of DocuWare.

Allow customisation of Smart Connect button icon design
Allow customisation of Smart Connect button icon design (maybe ability to upload your own .png file?) so that the button matches the same look/feel/style as the 3rd party applications it is interfacing with.
This is key point from senior decision makers within orgs who sign off DocuWare orders, and it also ensures the Smart Connect feature looks as seamless and powerful as the actual user functionality which Smart Connect brings :)6 votes -
Move the settings location for DocuWare Desktop from the ProgramData to the LocalAppData
In terminal services environments that wipe the ProgramData on a daily basis, it is difficult to work with roaming profiles and have DocuWare desktop apps work efficiently. It would be great if, in the next version perhaps, DocuWare could go back to storing these setting under AppData or another roaming folder so that it is more friendly to terminal services scenarios.

The "Force SSO" options should actually force SSO
When you setup a user to the option "force SSO" then it should automatically use SSO and not just "force" them to click on "use microsoft" .. if the option is force then it should automatically try to use SSO first..

User Sync functionality in DocuWare Cloud
As of now, the User Sync Tool necessitates installation on a server, especially when integrating DocuWare with Azure AD. To enhance flexibility and simplify the process, I suggest implementing a feature that allows User Sync to operate directly from the DocuWare Cloud platform, eliminating the requirement for a separate server installation.
This enhancement could significantly improve the user experience and streamline the implementation process for DocuWare Cloud users.

Silent Installation Client Setup
Seitdem das Client Setup umgestellt wurde (nur noch ein Eintrag unter "Installierte Apps"), wird der Eintrag der Desktop Apps nicht unter "Installierte Apps" angezeigt, wenn diese über die Silent-Installation (CMD.exe) installiert wurden.
Für größere Unternehmen ist dies sehr unpraktisch, da Tools (wie DocuSnap) zum Inventarisieren diese nicht anzeigen können.

Notes for Workflow changes
Each time you (save and) publish a workflow you should be able to enter what has changed in a textfield. If multiple people give support for a client and they have to check the workflow designer to see what has changed, it'd be nice to know what happened in each version instead of manually checking the current and previous version.
If the 'shape' of the workflow is the same but the contents of some activities have changed, you have to check all activities of both versions one by one to find the difference.

Desktop Apps abwärtskompatibel
Die Desktop Apps sollten auch Systeme bedienen können, die eine niedrigere Version haben. Zum Verständnis: Mit den Desktop Apps, die ich von einer Version 7.2 installiert habe, möchte ich auch mit einem 7.1er System arbeiten können. Ja, ich habe mehrere Kunden, die auf verschiedenen Versionen sind.

Optinal notification when saving from DocuWare Explorer Client
When saving with the DocuWare explorer, the notification popup should be optional maybe with a choice of a non untrusive popup like the DocuWare desktop popup.

Desktop Apps Port usage modification
Provide the ability to modify the ports that desktop apps are using internally. Currently having issues with 8090 and 8091 being locked by McAfee which requires IT intervention to modify those throughout the enterprise in order to run desktop apps successfully.
If 8090 and 8091 could be modified on install in a similar manner as the individual servers, it would eliminate an enterprise-wide headache.5 votes -

Es sollte möglich sein die DW Desktop Ports zu ändern. Immer wieder kommt es vor, dass andere Dienste ebenfalls 8090, 8091,8092, 8110 verwenden.

Stichwortfelder im Windows Explorer Client
Momentan können für die Baumansicht keine Stichwortfelder heran gezogen werden.
Dies wäre aber gerade im Zusammenhang mit Dokumenten, die mehreren Stichworten zugeordnet werden sehr praktisch.
Oft werden Stichwortfelder als "Dossier-" oder "Aktennummer" verwendet, z.B. eine Projektnummer, eine Kundennummer oder eine andere Art von Vorgangsnummer.
Muss ein Dokument, z.B. eine Rechnung, nun mehreren dieser Vorgangsnummern zugeordnet werden (z.B. Rechnung über verschiedene Projekte oder Kostenstellen) so muss dies über ein Stichwortfeld gelöst werden. Dadurch verliert man aber Stand heute die Möglichkeit den Windows Explorer Client für eine "Ordnerbasierte" Ablage zu verwenden.5 votes
