Allow for split on bar code value change
Need to add the functionality to split on barcode change in value just like we have on text criteria.

Updatedienst für DW-Desktop
Bei einigen Kunden ist es problematisch mit den Updates, weil der User logischerweise keine Admin-Rechte hat. Der Wunsch wäre, dass man den Updatedienst mit administrativen Rechten starten kann und der dann auch die Updates vollziehen kann.

DocuWare Desktop fuer Citrix-Umgebungen fit machen.
Wenn der DocuWare Desktop auf einer Citrix-Umgebung genuzt wird, kommt es zu grossen Problemen, wenn nach dem Schliessen einer Citrix-User-Session da die User-Profiles geloescht werden (es wird immer beim Logout des Users, der User-Profile Ordner auf einen anderen Server verschoben und beim Login des Users wieder auf den Server an die selbe Stelle zurueck geschrieben. Da der DesktopService aber an dem gesamten Ordner festhaelt, kann er nicht richtig geloescht werden und somit auch nicht mehr richtig zurueck geschrieben werden)
Es sollte also nun eine Moeglichkeit geben, dass man selbst bei diesem Use-Case mit dem Docuware Desktop arbeiten kann.

18 votesMit Version 6.7 sind viele Verbesserungen in diesem Umfeld umgesetzt werden. Die Desktop Apps sollten nun auch in Citrix Umgebungen funktionieren.

Enhance document separation based on barcodes
Importer allows you to specify OCR criteria for splitting of documents rather well. For barcodes, this is not possible yet. It would be great if you could enhance this so that a specific value from a barcode (either full code or part of that code) can be defined. You should also consider allowing the length of the barcode as a criterium for separation.

User Synchronization V2 Simulation Mode
When running Synch v2 the changes are applied to Docuware. In some cases unintended users may be created or removed in bulk. Potentially a large effort to resolve. Add a SIMULATION mode that reports the changes that would be made as a result of a synchronization.

Windows Explorer Client - Edit Documents
When a customer is using the Windows Explorer Client they should be able to edit the doc(as long as they have the rights) by double clicking rather than having to right click and edit.
It is very confusing that if you double click you can edit the document & save it back to the same location but this does nothing to the document within DocuWare.

Smart Connect - Wildcardsuche (enthält / beginnt mit) beim Stichwortfeld
Bei der Zuordnung eines Auslesebereichs zu einem Textfeld kann man die Suche variabel gestalten (beginnt mit / enthält / endet mit / ist gleich).
Das ist leider bei der Zuordnung zu einem Stichwortfeld nicht möglich, wäre aber genauso sinnvoll.

Import module that reads metadata file sent with scan
Need the ability to read a metadata file, csv or xml file, when scanning from mfp much like active import does.

Storing multiple files with WEC.
When store multiple files using DocuWare WEC there should be an option to store multiple files with out have the store dialog being displayed for each file. The was an option of DocuWare 6.5 but has been removed from DocuWare 6.6.

Nutzung einer weiteren Taste zur Auslösung von Smart Connect
Momentan stehen zur Auslösung von Smart Connect als "Shortcut" nur die Modifiziertaste sowie eine weitere zur Verfügung (Beispielsweise SHIFT-P oder ähnliches).
Wenn man nun viele Konfigurationen nutzt oder andere Programme in denen auch Shortcuts genutzt werden wie z.B. Word , werden die Kombinationsmöglichkeiten irgendwann knapp.
Einfach Abhilfe könnte geschaffen werden indem man eine weitere Taste zum Shortcut hinzunehmen könnte (z.B. SHIFT-ALT-P).

Allow Applications to be installed or updated with a service account
In situations where users do not have administrator access to their desktops it would be nice to be able to specify a service account that could be used to install applications or plugins. The new upgrade feature is great, but would not work if the users don't have admin access.

Vorindexierung mittels DocuWare Printer
Beim drucken mittels des DocuWare Printers lässt sich zum einen ein Archiv als Ziel auswählen und zum anderen ein Briefkorb, bei diesem ist trotzdem die Möglichkeit vorhanden einen Ablage-Dialog zu wählen. Dies hat jedoch keine Auswirkungen.
Könnte dies dahingehend ausgebessert werden, dass der Ablagedialog hier als Vorlage für die Vorindexierung dient? Dies würde in einigen Anwendungsbereichen eine große Arbeitserleichterung mit sich bringen.5 votesDies ist bereits heute möglich, wenn Sie heute einen Ablagedialog verwenden, werden die Einstellungen des Ablagedialogs auch verwendet.

Restore the ability to connect SmartConnect to a read only connection.
You cannot connect docuware desktop apps (or officially the mobile client) to the read only platform instance. you could do these things in 6.1.

Allow the end user to change the page size in DocuWare Printer.
By default the page size sent to a basket from DocuWare Printer is A4. Although this can be changed in the registry, this is not convenient for the end users. I propose that the end users be allowed to change this in the Windows printer preferences dialog. Additionally, it would be beneficial if separate instances of the DocuWare printer could be created for different page sizes- e.g. DocuWare Printer Letter, DocuWare Printer Legal, etc.

Weiterdruck mit Printer
Beim Weiterdruck mit dem Printer entstehen sehr große Spooldaten. Bei uns mehrere hundert Megabyte, da die Dokumente sehr vielseitig sind und DocuWare die PDF immer als Bild weiterdruckt. Das sollte auf PostScript o.ä. geändert werden.

Desktop Apps updaten ohne Administratorrechte
Wünschenswert wäre eine Möglichkeit daß Benutzer selbst (ohne Administratorrechten) den Client updaten können.
Wenn dies nicht möglich ist dann sollte die Software z.B. mittels msi-Paket ausgerollt werden können und die dafür notwendigen, aber leider nicht automatisch angelegten Registryeinträge genannt werden damit diese z.B. mit Gruppenrichtlinien angewandt werden.2 votesVielen Dank für Ihren Beitrag. Docuware Desktop Apps Deinstaller
Da Unter Windows immer nur eine Installation/Deinstallation gleichzeitig laufen kann. Wäre es hilfreich wenn man die Docuware Desktops app Auch gesammelt auf einen Rutsch deinstallieren kann.

Allow scheduling for the User Synchronization app
For on-premise, the AD synchronization can happen on a schedule. I would expect the desktop app for 7 Cloud to have the same capability, but sadly it doesn't. My customers now have to manually run the sync on a daily basis. They don't love that.

Installation für DW-Administration derzeit sehr umständlich
Moin,
nach einem Update von 6.9 auf 6.12 wollte sich der Admin die DW-Administration wieder auf seinem PC aktualisieren.
Meine Erwartung wären die Administration in den Desktop-Apps mit installieren zu können - geht aber nicht - habe ich etwas übersehen?
Bitte dort einbauen!b) Wenn es über die Desktop-Apps nicht gewünscht ist:
Warum gibt es keine vernüftige Setup-Routine, die einfach nur die Administration sauber installiert - oder übersehe ich da was?Hintergrund:
Nach Update von 6.9 auf 6.12 musste ich über die setup.exe/start.bat lokal am Admin-PC ausführen, dann kam erst eine Aktualisierung bevor man irgendwas sehen konnte.
Führe ich die…2 votesDie Installation der DocuWare Administration funktioniert über die Desktop Apps (Sind jedoch standardmäßig unter “Administrative Optionen” ausgeblendet)
Beim Update werden die Module aktualisiert die zuvor bereits installiert waren.
Wie es dazu kommen konnte, dass die Administration nicht funktioniert hat, kann ich leider nicht beurteilen – da sollte jedoch der Docuware Support weiter helfen können.
