Anzeige der Fehler in DW-Import/Docuware Apps
bei großen Imports oder Druckjobs werden zum Teil die Dokumentenordner im Job-Ordner (..\AppData\Local\DocuWare\Desktop\jobs) nicht verarbeitet.
Zum Teil werden diese später bereinigt, jedoch kann es durchaus auch zu Fehler kommen, so dass die Dokumente nicht importiert werden.
Es sollte deshalb eine Anzeige in den DesktopApps vorhanden sein, in dem auf diese Fehler hingewiesen wird (ähnlich der Failedanzeige beim DW-Import).
Andernfalls bleibt nur eine manuell Überwachung des Job-Ordners.3 votesDies ist eine Neuerung der Version 6.9.

Lack of functionnalities - Scan - Import modules
We are missing 'Capture' functionnalities within the Import & scan modules:
- Blank pages removal
- Index Enhancement: Database lookup (as in the old active-import module)
- Allow index 'handling' Ex, barcode recognition + split barcode values for assigning to other index fields,...
It's seems actually be designed for manual indexing & templates.

Printer entfernt Leerzeichen analog zum Tiffmaker
Es wäre sehr praktikabel, wenn man beim DWPrinter in den einzelnen Zonen sagen könnte, welche Zeichen ausgelesen werden sollten. Beim Tiffmaker war es ja möglich anzugeben das z.B. Leerzeichen entfernt werden oder das nur nummerische Werte genutz werden.

Add document identification to DWImport
Please think about adding the identification option in Docuware Import.
When printing documents, you have the ability to identify a document based on a bar code or text value and then assign it to a template to then determine what zone you will scrape data for indexing. In dwimport you do not have this so each template needs its own import job. We get around this by scanning or dropping electronic pdf's to the DWPrinter watch folder and then identifying the document based on the identification tab. Identifizierung der Dokumente wie beim DocuWare Printer auch für Import-Konfigurationen
Dokumente, die an den DocuWare Printer geschickt werden, werden je nach Dokument-Erkennung unterschiedlich behandelt.
Es sollte möglich sein, auch bei den Import-Konfigurationen eine Identifzierung des Dokuments vorzunehmen.
Es könnten dann Dokumente je nach automatischer Erkennung unterschiedlich behandelt und automatisch indiziert werden.
z.B. könnten interne Emails dann anders behandelt werden als externe oder am Scanner müssen keine verschiedenen Profile für mehr angelegt werden, da dies automatisch erkannt werden kann.

Provide more information with the history
The current history provides NO information as to why there was a warning or an error . It would be helpful as to WHAT the warning was for and what the error was..ALSO IF the error was related to DATA that was poorly formed ie: bad field, bad date, etc it seems more prudent to provide the users a way to deal with theses images.....EXAMPLE: Image is being brought in using dwcontrol and the date field is a bad date (like Feb, 31, 2015) but the rest of the data is good, instead of FAILING the image and placing it…

Import Job Fehlerbeschreibung
Sind Fehler beim Importieren wirklich so schwerwiegend, dass der Import-Job immer wieder abgebrochen wird? Selbst bei Zugriffsverletzungen, weil die Datei noch in Verwendung sei, bricht der Job zusammen. Warum läuft der Job nicht einfach weiter und ignoriert das Dokument zunächst?
Weiter wäre ein vernünftiges und aussagekräftiges Logging nicht verkehrt. Statt einer Hinweis-/Fehlermeldung, wie man sie von Windows her kennt, muss man sich in den Tiefen des Systems umsehen, in der Hoffnung, dass genau dieser gesuchte Log auch angelegt wurde.

Fehlerursache im Protokoll anzeigen
Seit der Version 6.7 ist es möglich, ein Protokoll der verarbeiteten Desktopaufträge anzusehen. Leider gibt es dort nur die Einträge erfolgreich, Fehler oder Warnung.
Ein detaillierte Fehlerursache wäre sinnvoll (Tooltip), damit man die Ursache für diesen Fehler schneller beheben kann

DocuWare Scan - Neue Option "Neues Dokument nach Trennseite"
Zur Erfassung per Scan von verschiedensten Dokumenten wäre es praktisch eine Option "Neues Dokument nach Trennseite" zu haben. Die Docuware Trennseiten könnte man vorab ausdrucken und jeweils zwischen die zu scannenden Dokumente legen. Nach erfolgtem Scan könnten diese wiederverwendet werden. Hierdurch könnte die Dauer des Scanvorgangs erheblich verkürzt werden.

1 voteDies klingt nach einer Verfahrensproblematik. Natürlich sollte dies mit DocuWare funktionieren.
Falls nicht, wäre es interessant, die genauen Anforderungen zu kennen.

Alle Finanzrechtlich notwendigen Daten und Unterlagen über den Nachweis der Verbringung außerhalb Deutschland (sprich: Gelangensbestätigung) sollte hier abgelegt werden können
1 voteDies ist eher ein Verfahrensthema, Natürlich sollte das mit DocuWare funktionieren. Falls nicht, wäre es schön, die speziellen Anforderungen zu erfahren.

in der kommenden DocuWare Version 6.12 wird es die Möglichkeit geben alle gescannten Dokumente in den Desktop Apps auf einmal hochzuladen (Also nicht nur die einzelnen wie bisher.

Make DW scanning faster. Each user could scan 1000 pages a day, not anymore.
We use to scan 1000 pages a day with the thick client. Now with the new Web Client each user is lucky to scan 200 pages a day. Is there anyway to scan quicker? We feel like we have regressed instead of progressing. We do not like the DW Web Client.

we are constantly working on a way to improve the performance of DocuWare Desktop and its scan possibilites. In the recent version and also in the upcoming version we also implemented additional functions to process much more than 200 pages a day.Just as a rough benchmark: Without using OCR, DocuWare is able to scan up to 100 pages a minute. Of course the performance is always dependent of each system and its settings.

Allow to zoom larger size to look at document when looking at thumbnails
Allow to make the thumbnail larger to see document when scan for example increase size to 100 to 150 etc.

The preview is then always as big as the application window. -
Filter on Importjobs
With many importjobs it should give the abillity to sort or filter.
f.e. filter all stopped Jobs, all with error etc.

Mit einer größeren Anzahl von Importaufträgen wäre eine Filter / Sortierfunktion gut.
Z.B. Filtern nach angehaltenen Aufträgen, fehlerhaften.
Sortieren nach Name Import-Konfiguration1 voteDies ist bereits jetzt in der Historie der Desktop Aufträge möglich. Sie können dabei nach Zeit, nach Quelle und nach Status filtern.

for users that do not have admin access have a package/msi file to allow install/upgrade via MS system center or other similar software

If this is not sufficient, please explain the idea in more detail.

Import as a service
It would be useful to have an option to run DW Import as a service.
1 voteDocuWare Import is already a service which can import documents even if no user is logged in. Just set up an Import job watching a local folder and then the documents are imported automatically. If you want to monitor network folders then you need to be logged in, as the service does not have access rights to the network. Or you could change the service user account.
