CREATE INDEX COVERSHEET
When you have storage rights on a cabinet you can click on the store dialog to "CREATE INDEX COVERSHEET" this will open up the store dialog, you enter your index data, and select PRINT the software creates a cover page with a 3D Barcode that the upload service can automatically import and file away.

dwcontrol file - control order of clipping for multiple file imports in same dwcontrol file
It will be very helpful to be able to control or set the order that files are clipped together when importing multiple files using dwcontrol. Like when an expense report and receipts are brought in all at once, the expense report should be the first document in the stack.

Add ability to configure number of concurrent documents imported via Desktop Import.
In version 6.7 the number of documents to be processed simultaneously can only be set to 5 or unlimited. This is the "<add key="HotfolderSchedulingStrategy" value="Unlimited"/>" setting in the DocuWare.DesktopService.exe.config file.
I propose that this be changed to allow for a number of be utilized, providing better control of performance.

Storing E-mails the "Old Way"
Some organizations receive a very low volume of e-mails that may have very large attachments, like CAD drawings. They cannot yet justify adding the Connect to Outlook module. Using the full Active Import module, they can setup a job to pull e-mails from a folder in Outlook, index them, and store them in the correct file cabinet. You are also able you store the attachments separately as a new document.
The other side is when the Exchange Server is becoming overloaded and e-mails need to be moved into a file cabinet. Using this method with Active Import allows the user…

Briefkorb pro Importkonfiguration bestimmbar wenn diese nicht erkannt wird
Wenn beim Import die Konfiguration nicht erkannt wird sollen die Dokumente nicht im Standartbriefkorb landen sondern in einem zuvor vom Admin ausgewählten Briefkorb

Leider können wir diese Idee aufgrund mehrerer Faktoren derzeit nicht für eine künftige Version vorsehen.
Falls keine Konfiguration erkannt wird, kann leider auch kein Briefkorb verwendet werden, der in einer Konfiguration angegeben ist. -

Add the "Connect To Toshiba v2" in Docuware Cloud
Is an excellent module for our customers when they want to scan your documents; quickly and accurately.
2 votesWe will be discontinuing the DocuWare modules for connecting multifunction devices, including Connect to Ricoh, Connect to Toshiba, Connect to Sharp, Connect to Oki, Connect to Kyocera and Connect to XEROX. These will only be available up to DocuWare Version 7.2. In all subsequent versions (from DocuWare Version 7.3 or 2020 onwards) these modules will no longer be included.

Import tool on server
The old import tool on the server worked better than the newer version. With new import there seems to be more spam on the server level, and you have to scroll up and down to see what has stopped. Would like import tool on the server level to be "snazzier" for importing jobs on the server level, just like the older version.
2 votesActive Import was never meant to be a server application.The new Import is running well as service on a server. Importing should work fine also in unattended mode.

Barcode und QR-Code auch erkennen wenn "grau" oder "zu ****" gescannt wurde
QR- und Barcode sollten auch erkannt werden, wenn diese nicht satt schwarz gedruckt wurden. Denn in solchen fällen ist die Erkennungsrate gleich Null, da aber immer mehr im Tonersparmodus gedruckt oder bei fast leerer Kartusche das Druckergebnis "grau" oder "zu ****" ist, ist auch die Erkennung oft zu schlecht. Smartphone Engine sind hier viel besser und erkennen auch helle oder farbige Code sehr gut... Vielen DANK
2 votesSchlechte Ergebnisse können kaum durch Software verbessert werden. Bitte versuchen Sie es mit anderen Scaneinstellungen. Eventuell können Sie mit grausufen oder in Farbe scannen.

Improve the performance of the web scan desktop app. It is a very sluggish and time consuming process.
Web scanning is a very time consuming method of scanning. It could only realistically be used for one or two pages at a time and it is very slow even at that.
If there is a way to improve performance, it needs to be done. Almost any other product on the market is faster than this.2 votesWe are trying to improve the speed with every version. Text recognition needed for fulltext is the operation which takes longest when scanning.

Green Cards
Allow the process of scanning green cards (returned from certified mail) without receiving an error of "paper jam".
2 votesThank you for your post. Unfortunatley this more sounds like a faulty behavior of your scanner and if it was a problem of i.e. DocuWare Scan this needs to be clarified in greater detail through a proper support case invloving your DocuWare partner.

color QR CODES
USE COLORED QR CODES WHEN SCANNING AND SORTING MASS SCAN JOBS
1 voteQR codes in general are specified as black and white only. Due to the error handling inside the QR specification they can mostly also recognized if parts of the QR code are colored. If this is not working with your documents you maybe have to change your scan settings to have a proper contrast between the white space and the colored dots. Es wäre hilfreich, wenn im DocuWare Web Scan ein Schwellwert für die Lerrseitenerkennung angegeben werden könnte.

Sie können uns aber gerne einige Beispielseiten zuschicken, damit wir den Mechanismus zur Erkennung von Leerseiten verbessern können.

DocuWare Scanner needs threshold adjustment for Skip Blank Pages
The scanner driver has an adjustment for the threshold of the Skip Blank Page setting. The Web Scan scanner interface does not. If you want to use the threshold you must open the scan dialog each time. It would be handy if the threshold setting could be part of the scan configuration.
1 voteWe want to keep this simple to work with. If you experience problems with ths, it would be great to see the wrongly deleted pages, then we adjust this behavior.

Add Pages
When I scan 47 pages I then split the documents according to the way the need to be done. Once I have split the documents accordingly I might need to add a page but the +add pages is grayed out so I can't add pages. Shouldn't matter how you scanned the original document should be able to add pages to any split document. I was able to do this before the new upgrade of docuware. Thanks

"Unspecified Error" Pop-Up Should Automatically Stop Scanning
An error that frequently occurs with DW while scanning pops up a dialogue box that reads: "An unspecified error has occurred. Please refer to the logging for further details." The dangerous part about this error is that pages will still be going through the scanner normally; yet they will not actually be scanned into DW after the error message pop-up. This results in me having to manually stop the scanning process, find where DW left off in the document, and restart the process from there. The risk of losing multiple pages of a document would be eliminated if scanning was…

Metaindexdateien per Active Import wieder automatisch importieren
Es sollte wieder im DW Import möglich sein, dass mehrere PDF Dateien inkl. der dazugehörigen TXT Indexdateien automatisch per DW Import in ein DW Archiv ablegen werden kann. Diese Funktion gibt es jetzt auch noch bei dem Modul Active Import3.
1 voteAnstatt Metaindex-Dateien werden in DocuWare IMport nun DocuWare-Control-Dateien unterstützt. Dafür muss natürlich die Erzeugung der Datei geändert werden. Durch kommende Änderungen im gesamten DocuWare System war es leider nicht möglich das Format der Metaindex Datei beizubehalten.
