Signing documents has become a important issue in document control.flow. Specally in goverment applications, signing documents is more then just adding a scanned image that is used for a stamp. Priting a document with a PKI certificate is not enough. Not only is the certificate important, but a organisation has to proove when and who signed So, the complete flow has to be documentated. It's also important that you got to have the abilluty to let more then one person sign the document. Making a signature stamp to finalise the document is not enough.
What did we develop. We are currently developing a API ( Pure web based and not c++ Code) to handle all functions in Docuware In this way applications can connect/control Docuware. We setup a API function that starts the signing proces. It shows all documents from your proces or reguest. Then the user can select to document that has to be signed and select the DW user who has to sign the document. That user(s) recieves a message with to start signing te document. When our API recieves the "OK" then is check's out the document, places the Certificate nd logs the proces. Then it places a signing stamp on the document to let users visually see the signing. In that way we also make the document the final version and is not editable anymore.
This is what is very important to sell/integrate Docuware in future envoirments.
We created an API that has this and may more features to lett Docuware integrate in applications.
