Automate workflow tasks
Currently tasks require a user to make a decision on them. However there are cases where an external system or DB might be updated and having it sync in to a workflow task to move an item would save the user from having to do it manually. For example, an item is on the approval task list and a user approves the deal in another system that can update an index field in DW. That update causes the item to be approved and move to another task for a different user.

wait for event
Hello,
I would like to request a change in the "Wait For Event" timeout configuration.
Justification:
We have encountered a product limitation during the transition from one event to another. In certain circumstances, an error can occur that delays the workflow by approximately two minutes when moving from one assignment box to the wait for event box.
Specifically, we have observed that in some instances, wait for event stucks waiting because the trigger workflow has already finished before wait for event event starts. The workflow that triggers the "Wait For Event" takes about 20 seconds to complete, and we cannot…

Bausteine aus Workflows in andere Workflows kopieren
Leider kann ich bei ähnlichen Workflows keine Bausteine - seien es Aufgaben, Entscheidungen oder Datenzuweisungen - von einem Workflow in einen anderen kopieren und einfügen, sondern nur innerhalb eines Workflows. Das würde sehr viel Zeit beim Aufbauen von Workflows sparen.

Viele Firmen arbeiten mit Kalenderwochen im Bezug auf Liefer-, Bestell-, Zahlungstermine etc. Die Anzeige der Kalenderwoche im Auswahlkalender ist daher hilfreich.

Intelligent Indexing im Workflow
Fügt man Eingangsrechnungen automatisiert dem Archiv zu und beginnt sofort mit einem Workflow, so ist das Intelligent Indexing nicht möglich. Es wäre wünschenswert, wenn das Intelligent Indexing auch in einem Workflowschritt genutzt werden daerf und aus den Benutzereingaben auch lernt.
Sollen Benutzer Dokumente nicht löschen dürfen, so ist der Schritt über den Briefkorb aus Gründen der Prozessicherheit auch gar nicht sinnvoll was die Sinnhaftigkeit des Intelligent Indexing im Workflowdialog noch einmal unterstreicht.

Add the ability to select checkboxes on a fillable document through the workflow
For example, the document has checkbox fields that need to be marked. The only way I can figure out how to do it is make a field for each checkbox and instruct the users to enter "X" in the text field if they would want it selected.

Workflow Designer: (ausgewählte) Verbindungen ausblenden
Es ist bereits im Workflow Designer möglich, die "Zeitüberschreitungen" auszublenden.
Das Ausblenden wäre in Bezug auf "Fehler", oder besser, auf alle (ausgewählten) Verbindungen zwischen den Aufgaben, Zuweisungen etc. auszuweiten vorteilhaft.
Dadurch könnten komplexere Workflows besser verstanden und erklärt werden.7 votes -
Workflow - Allow Operators in Filtering
I'd already requested wildcards in the Workflow Tasks filtering, but would like to add a new suggestion to have the standard operators work there too. Common need in large scale workflow operations.

Comment Marker on workflow steps
Especially during the creation of more complex and lengthy workflows, it would be good to have an option for a comment on the different workflow step-tools. Similar to the red circle with the !, there could be a little marker, showing the admin that there is a comment on that box. The comment could then be used to leave hints on what needs to be changed in future versions of the workflow.

Add ability to invoke another workflow from a current workflow
Would be awesome if you could have a module that would start another workflow. It would make large workflows easier to design and keep them cleaner. I know that you can do this by using modified index and such but I always run into issues with that and workflows starting when they shouldn't. Would be a lot better if you could just create workflows and then call them when needed within another workflow.

Comments section in the workflow
Some of our Workflows can get long and complicated, and for support reasons would be great to have a "Comments" node that isn't connected to the actual workflow, but simply displays in the viewer window. This way we can see at a glance what certain nodes are doing

Im Workflow generierte Mails indexiert ablegen
Im Workflow direkt anhaken, dass die dort generierte Mail mit bestimmten Indexdaten abgelegt werden soll. Andernfalls ist der Mailinhalt nicht nachvollziehbar, da man in der Workflowhistorie nur sieht, dass eine Mail verschickt wurde, aber nicht den Inhalt von dieser. Außerdem wäre dies hilfreich, um einen Vorgang vollständig nachvollziehen zu können, wenn alle Dokumente dazu im System zu finden sind.

Indexeinträge ändern aus dem WF-Manager - Dialog nicht konfigurierbar
Wenn ich STRG-ALT-I aus dem WF-Manager heraus drücke, wenn ein Dokument gewählt ist (Indexeinträge ändern), dann ist der Dialog dahinter weder in der Funktion (Rechte) noch in der Reihenfolge definierbar - das muss dringend konfigurierbar gestaltet werden - ich meine, dass diese Idee schon einmal geteilt wurde, aber da es in 7.0 immer noch nicht geht: Bitte umsetzen
7 votesVielen Dank für Ihre Idee. Wir haben es unserer Sammlung von Ideen und Funktionen hinzugefügt und werden es weiter untersuchen. Wir können derzeit nicht genau sagen, wann diese Idee umgesetzt wird. Sobald wir weitere Informationen haben, werden wir den Status aktualisieren.

allow list-type Role variables to be used as select lists in tasks
When creating a decision as part of a task and adding the various fields to the form, we can tie a select list to a field (for all the usual reasons). However, we can only use the select lists we've configured in the Admin Tool (or configurations). It would be great if we could use lists that we dynamically create as part of the workflow using the new Role variable. This would enable more customization of the workflow decisions, and since we already have the list-type Role global variable it might not be that hard to just allow the usage…

Add formatting options to workflow information.
In workflows you can add a description to assist users, however there is no way to format any text in that information window.

Allow additive Assignment of Tasks (Roles + Users + Variables)
Allow additive assignment of Tasks (Roles + Users + Variables)
It would be really super helpful if Tasks could use additive assignment throughout. This especially is true for escalation / rerouting. For example to add the a manager when escalating, so that the original person still can act on the task as well.
As it is now, this won't work. Consider the scenario:
- An incoming document triggers a workflow.
- The document has an index field "Assignment" and it's value is "Joe"
- A User-type global variable is populated with the value from "Assignment"

Allow to use stamp at decision level and not task level
It would be great if we could have the possibility to select an option : if one of the decision of the task should have a stamp and not another
For example : If i validate an invoice, stamp is placed
If i use the decision : request info is used, there is no need to place any stamp on the invoice.Options are currently very limited regarding task stamps
