1. Add regular expressions / regex to the full text search

   It would really be useful if you could do a full text search using a regular expression / regex pattern.

   The need here is to find all the documents containing certain types of personal data, e.g. NHS number, credit card number, National Insurance number etc.

3. Bring back the Print Result List button

   Previous versions of the thick client had a Print Result List button that would print a result list directly to a printer. I have customers that use this to report on recently stored documents. Now they have several more steps to work around this missing button.
   The older Thick client -
   1. Search for documents.
   2. Click button to print result list. - - It would be printed directly to a printer. (In a readable format.)

   The Web Client.
   1. Search for documents.
   2. Click button and select copy to CSV.
   3. Open CSV in excel.
   4. Select first Column.
   5. Select Data Tab.
   6. Select Text to Columns button.
   7. Select delimited and then click Next.
   8. Select semicolon and then click next.
   9. Select Finish.
   10. Select OK.
   11. Print.

   Right now we are focusing on other topics, so we are not considering this idea for future releases. If the demand for this topic increases, we might add it to future plans.

   Currently you can download the resultlist as an csv file and open this in Excel to print it.

4. FullText search result list to show summary view of first keyword

   In the application of a legal store and retrieval project scenario when doing a FullText search could the result list show a summary of text before and after the first found keyword to give some basic context to the document found. For example; you search for "John Smith litigation" and you can preview a sentence like "in 1975, John Smith company was in a litigation battle because...."

   This sentence would appear in a mouse-over bubble in the result list per returned document. Currently having to double click and have the complete first page open up is a slow process when trying to research through a large volume of unstructured documents.

5. Verlinkung von Dokumenten anhand von Werten aus Stichwortfeldern (Sammelrechnungen).

   Entstanden ist das Ganze aus dem Versuch, Sammelrechnungen mit den entsprechenden Lieferscheinen zu verlinken.
   Die Lieferscheinnummern sind in der Sammelrechnung aufgeführt. Diese werden bei der Ablage in einem Stichwortfeld eingetragen.
   Nun sollte für die Prüfung eine Verlinkung auf die Lieferscheine möglich sein, die zu dieser Rechnung gehören.
   Schick wäre natürlich auch, wenn man das innerhalb eines Workflows nutzen könnte.
   Leider kann DocuWare derzeit nicht normale Indexfelder mit Stichwortfeldern vergleichen. ("Contains"-Funktion) Vermutlich weil die Werte von Stichwortfeldern in einer separaten Tabelle stehen.
   On Premise kann ich das über SQL lösen, in der Cloud wird es da schon schwieriger.

   Sicherlich wären auch andere Szenarien hierzu denkbar.

6. Dateinamen suchen

   Es ist im Moment nicht möglich nach dem Dateinamen, welcher unten im Viewer angezeigt wird, zu suchen.
   Es ist lediglich Möglich nach den Indexwerten oder über den Volltext, dieser nutzt alle Indexwerte als auch den auf dem Dokument aufgebrachten Text.
   Die Informationen aus dem Viewer (Dokumentname, Dokumenterweiterung und Datum) können nicht für die Suche verwendet werden.
   Diese Informationen können nur „gesucht“ werden, wenn diese in einem Indexfeld gespeichert werden.
   Der Kunde müsste also den Namen des angehängten Dokumentes im Nachhinein in ein vorhandenes Indexfeld schreiben.
   Dies ist aber z.B. beim Anhängen im Archiv nicht ohne weiteres möglich.

7. File Cabinets in Alphabetical Order for Searches

   I have 90 some file cabinets. I manually put them in alphabetical order. When I do a search they are not in alphabetical order. I have four columns to hunt through. It would seem that each column would be in alphabetical order. Not user friendly.

9. Allow use of SQL Queries to get a "Predefined" search term.

   I would like to be able to use an SQL query to get the value for a predefined search field.

   For instance, to be able to say that the Location field is locked to "SELECT LOCATION from dbo.USER_INFO where USERNAME = 'CURRENTUSERNAME'"

   This would allow the predefined fields to be much more useful. The current set of five options is not very thorough, and not extensible at all. Being able to use those five predefined options in SQL queries would open up a much wider scope. Especially if they could be used in conjunction with the index data of the file cabinet.

   I would like to be able to use an SQL query to get the value for a predefined search field.

   For instance, to be able to say that the Location field is locked to "SELECT LOCATION from dbo.USER_INFO where USERNAME = 'CURRENTUSERNAME'"

   This would allow the predefined fields to be much more useful. The current set of five options is not very thorough, and not extensible at all. 10. Seitenzahlen in den Ergebnislisten

    Die Darstellung der Seitenzahl für jedes in einer Ergebnisliste aufgeführte Dokument wäre eine wünschenswerte Funktion! Ferner wäre die Darstellung der Summe der Seitenzahlen an einer Stelle in der Ergebnisliste sehr nett! Alternativ könnten die Seitenzahlen in der Ergebnislisten-Funktion "Export in csv-Datei" dargestellt werden.

    Hintergrund: die Seitenzahlen zu den Dokumenten diverser Vorgänge liefern teilweise wichtige Informationen, in welcher Art und Weise diese weiter bearbeitet werden könnten!

    I would like to know the total of images in each document or file, when doing a search, when sending my results to an excel file, I would like to have the total of images in each document listed as well.f

12. Ergebnisanzeige bei kombinierter Suche Volltext und Indexfelder

    Bei der kombinierten Suche mit Volltext und Indexfeld bedingt durch das Suchverfahren folgender Effekt auftreten. Die Volltextsuche findet den gesuchten Begriff bei zu vielen Dokumenten und bricht dadurch die Suche ab. Dadurch wird bei der Vereinigung der Suche mit Indexfeld und Suche Volltext keine Ergebnisse angezeigt. Hier sollte statt dessen "Zu Viele Ergebnisse im Volltext, bitte Suche verfeinern" oder ähnlich angezeigt werden.

13. Tatsächliche Anzahl von gefundenen Dokumenten anzeigen

    Derzeit wird in der Ergebnisliste die Anzahl der gefunden Dokumente nur bis zur maximalen Anzahl (10.000 oder der definierten) angezeigt.
    Es wäre aber wünschenswert die tatsächliche Anzahl der gefunden Dokumente zu erfahren.

14. Field setting changes on all result views

    If we have 15 result views and if we need to change the select list of an specific field, we need to manually change each single result view. We suggest to have a method to adjust all the fields at the same time. The tool might show a pop up to select the result views we want to change.

15. Bearbeitung Anzeige Document History

    Sobald ich von einem Dokument die "Document Hisotry" anzeigen lasse, sehe ich welche User ein Dokument abgelegt haben (Stored By). Leider werden hier die Benutzer IDs angezeigt, die in meiner großen Umgebung für die User nichts sagen sind.

    z.B. Max Mustermann = Benuter ID: MMU001

    Für die Analyse von Dokumenten ist es zwingend notwenig das die User überprüfen können wer dieses Dokument abgelegt hat.

    Ich benötige eine möglichkeit dort den User von Benutzer ID zu long Name zu ändern oder einfach ein Feld zu nutzen wo ich den long Name reinschreiben lasse.

16. Ability to color code lines in the Invoice Search Dialog Box

    To provide the user(s) the ability to color code specific line items. there are line items that are not being worked due to various reasons however one has to continuously go back into the invoice to see notes as opposed to being able to highlight a line to know it can not be worked at this time, etc.

17. Change the default file cabinets when searching multiple file cabinets

    Our client would like the ability to change the default file cabinets that are selected when performing a search across multiple file cabinets. Whenever you do a multi-file cabinet search, the same file cabinets are always selected. In an instance that you say want to select the same 4 file cabinets every time, you would have to add the same 2 file cabinets every time and couldn't change it to default to 4 file cabinets. This has been tested by DW support and confirmed not to be a function of DocuWare currently.

18. show number of full text results within a document

    Hi, When using full text search for key word(s), it would be really useful to know how many results with the document there are. We can see the number of documents it exists in but not the number of times within that document

19. Reiter für die Suchen bleiben offen, aber nicht deren Inhalt

    Habe ich mehrere Suchen im Webclient offen und beende den Browser oder drücke F5 zum Aktualisieren, bleiben zwar die Reiter für die Suchen offen, aber der Inhalt (Suchkriterien) wird gelöscht. Daher nützt es nichts, wenn die Reiter geöffnet bleiben, da die Suchen gelöscht werden. Es wäre gut, wenn die Suchkriterien ebenfalls gespeichert würden.

20. ODER Suche vereinfachen # anstatt OR

    Die ODER Suche war in der Version 5.1 mit # möglich (ohne Leerzeichen). Somit konnte eine ODER Suche mit einer Vielzahl an Suchbegriffen einfach und schnell eingeben werden.
    Dies ist in der aktuellen Version mit dem Operator OR leider umständlich und zeitaufwändig.
