Request for Product Enhancement: Enable Scheduled Refresh for DocuWare Power BI Connector
The DocuWare Power BI Connector does not support scheduled refresh.
We have been informed through DocuWare Support that this is due to the current product specification.
However, scheduled refresh is essential in order to always view the most up-to-date information on Power BI dashboards. Without this capability, it is difficult to operate dashboards effectively in a production environment.
We strongly request an enhancement to the DocuWare Power BI Connector to enable scheduled refresh. This improvement would significantly increase the usability and value of the product.SRNumber : SR-282397-B8X2W

Currently DocuWare is not able to create a connector for Microsoft Power BI supporting scheduled refresh.
Microsoft only allows "Certified Connectors" for their Power BI Service. The hurdles for getting certified were not reachable in the past for DocuWare.

Allow the admin to reset passwords for users in User Management
Prior to 7.11 the administrator was able to rese the users' passwords themselves in the User Management tab. This has been changed to only allowing the admin to send password reset emails. Alliowing the admin to change the password is incredibly helpful.

Gutschriften sollten vom Rechnungsverarbeitungsworkflow nicht in Rechnungen konvertiert werden.
Wir haben den Rechnungsverarbeitungsworkflow im Einsatz. Wenn man eine Gutschrift erfasst, wird sie im Buchungsstapel als Rechnung an die Buchhaltung übergeben. Sie sollte aber als Stornorechnung mit negativem Betrag übergeben werden.

Issue with "localwebservice" Value in Version 7.11
During the installation of DocuWare version 7.11, we encountered an issue related to the dwmachine.config file located in C:\ProgramData\DocuWare\ServerConfig.
Specifically, the value of the localwebservice field is automatically modified to an incorrect value during the upgrade process. This change causes certain critical functionalities to stop working after the installation is complete.
We kindly request that you investigate and address this behavior in future updates to ensure the correct value is either retained or automatically set during the installation process.I already opened a ticket, but your support replied that i had to post here.

Introduce a Brief Course on the Business Use Cases of Workflow
The LMS provides several courses for DSC's on the components of DocuWare Workflow and in fact a pre-requisite for the course is a DSC certification. It would be ideal that a short business course is designed for DSAs to aid them with understanding several business uses of workflow and mention them during their engagements with prospects. The business uses of workflow are indeed embedded in the various case studies listed on the DocuWare website . it would be ideal to so as to say extract such cases and centralize them. Allow extended storage areas for files such as Quickbooks Company Files that do not get renamed to a GUID internally.
Quickbooks files spawn multiple files when opened and they cannot be renamed like for example to a GUID on the raw storage disk. Other companies have an 'extended' storage area where these types of files can be stored with the benefit of being searched but not managed otherwise. This would be beneficial for a Document Storage Management system.

Delete Stamp annotation by REST API
There is a REST API for deleting text annotations, but there is no API URI for deleting stamps. Please add one.

Deleting a stamp is not possible in DocuWare in any case. That is the reason, why there is no API Call to delete stamps.

Provide a Connector for Dell Boomi
We would like to have a supported connector for Dell Boomi instead of having to create an RPA process and intermediary process to handle integrations via flat file imports and indexing jobs.

einen grundsätzlichen Kalender einführen
es wäre äußert hilfreich, wenn ein klassischer Kalender eingeführt wird. Viele Interessente schreckt es ab, dass Termin nur in Form von Listen angezeigt werden können.
Dementsprechend wäre ein Kalender, in dem bestimmt werden kann, welche Art von Terminen angezeigt werden sollen, sehr sinnvoll.Vielen Dank.

signiertes PDF hochladen (Adobe Reade nicht installiert)
Wenn man ein, schon vorher, signiertes (nicht Docuware Stempel) PDF im Archiv ablegen, kann man es danach nicht mehr auf machen. Dann erhält man die Meldung das der Adobe Reader nicht installiert ist. Ich würde gerne auch signierte PDF gleich in der Anzeigen sehen wollen.

Grundsätzlich können signierte PDF-Dateien in DocuWare angezeigt werden.
Eventuell ist die PDF-Datei nicht nur signiert, sondern auch verschlüsselt. In diesem Fall benötigen Sie tatsächlich den Adobe Reader, um die Verschlüsselung aufheben zu können.
Im Moment planen wir keine Erweiterung in diese Richtung.

Allow storer to select "store document in black and white" when scanned in color
Documents stored in color are much larger than those in black and white. Allow user to require documents to be stored only in b/w, even if this causes a color document to be converted to b/w pdf prior to storing. Should be able to be over-ridden by authorized users.

Tabellen-Felder in Webhooks bereitstellen
DW7.5 hat Webhooks eingeführt, diese ignorieren momentan Felder vom Typ Tabelle.
Gerade diese wären für eine geplante Integration aber sowohl für Bedingungen als auch für den Http Request Body erforderlich.6 votesVielen Dank für Ihre Idee. Indexfelder vom Typ Tabelle werden derzeit in den Webhooks nicht unterstützt. Ich würde Ihnen gerne die Gründe für diese Entscheidung erläutern:
- Ein Indexfeld vom Typ Tabelle kann bis zu 1000 Zeilen und 50 Spalten enthalten. Ein Dokument kann eine Vielzahl solcher Indexfelder enthalten. Dies bedeutet, dass potenziell eine große Menge an Daten übertragen wird. Webhooks werden für solche Menge an Daten normalerweise nicht empfohlen.
- Tabellendaten sind eine Datenmatrix, die in einer Vielzahl von Formaten und Strukturen bereitgestellt werden. Es war uns bislang nicht möglich, dafür eine Standardstruktur zu definieren, die sich ohne Anpassungen in Drittanwendungen einfügt. In den meisten Fällen ist es notwendig, die Daten an die Struktur der Fremdanwendung anzupassen. Das bedeutet, dass wir in DocuWare eine Möglichkeit schaffen müssten, die Struktur der Tabellenfelder für die Drittanwendungen zu definieren. Das wiederum würde die Komplexität des Request Body Konfigurators enorm erhöhen.

Ability to e sign documents with Adobe Sign
Like DocuSign and VIDSigner integration, Docuware must have an integration with Adobe Sign. It's a big esignature provider in the world and a lot of customers have a subscription with they and they don't want change of provider. We've lost a lot of bussiness for this reason.

Allow drag and drop to Outlook e-mails for sending documents
I get a lot of requests from users that would like the option to drag and drop documents from the DocuWare webclient (i.e. from a search result) directly into an Outlook e-mail.
Currently, the only option is to right click and Send by E-mail. However this option creates a new, empty, e-mail and freezes up the whole Outlook client until the e-mail is sent. This renders our users unable to respond to document requests or to attach documents into ongoing conversations - which is the case most of the time when a document is needed.

Right now, there is no possibility to change this behavior. DocuWare is using a system functionality from Windows to send an email. Outlook is blocking access to the main window when using this system functionality.

Move document trays configuration to User Management
Add a tab for Document Trays in User management so it is consolidated in one place. This would make managing document tray permissions much easier.

Electronic Signature integration with Adobe Sign
e-signature support with Validated ID and DocuSign are great, but we need to do this with Adobe Sign. It is a similar process. Adobe provides the API and we can provide technical support and real-world testing.
