Predefine workflow job that converts DWTIFF (DW5.x and DW4.x) to a new PDF format
If you are dealing with very large documents that we were in DWTIFF format and now you want to bring back to the web basket it take extremely extremely long time to convert to a new PDF format. It works but it will be better if the conversion so done in the server side so that the clients don’t have to suffer
8 votesCurrently there are no plans to have an background job which converts tiff files to PDF. Main reason is, that this could take a long time and bring high load to the Server. On the other side we know that less than 1% of “old” documents are displayed after they are archived (on average).
For all who have a use case where it makes sense to convert old tiff files please contact our Professional Services Team.

Improve Administration Tool
Improve the administration tool. First by consolidating all of the different tools and utilities required to administrate Docuware. Create this new Administration tool to where you can do your administration in 1 spot and not in 3 spots on 1 utility and 1 spot on another. 1 location for 1 setting. Inhance the security setting, GROUP,ROLE,PROFILE. TOO MUCH.

Reihenfolge der Reiter (Briefkorb, Suchen, Listen, Aufgaben) ändern
Es sollte möglich sein, die Reihenfolge der Reiter zu ändern, da je nach Arbeitsbereich andere Funktionen wichtig sind (Scannen = Briefkörbe, Sachbearbeitung = Listen, Auskunft = Suchen)
Der Wichtigste Reiter kann so immer an der ersten Stelle stehen

Add the ability to send Email Notifications to a Group/Role
Emails in the Workflow Designer can be sent to a role, however this is in the case of sending one email per document that goes through the workflow.
We use Email Notifications as a way to send one email out that lists multiple documents to ensure users are not receiving a mass number of emails. In this case, it would also be helpful to be able to send to a Group or Role from here.
We deal a lot with Accounting systems and where an Accounts team will have documents assigned to them for example, and they perhaps want to…

Related documents also with table fields
In table fields I can store information on delivery notes, orders, etc..
This information can be duplicated if these are documents from the accounts payable cycle.
For this reason I need to store the number and date of the document to be linked to the invoice.
But it is not possible to create a document relationship config based on a table field.
This would in my opinion be a great functionality to implement.7 votes -
Multi-stage forms
I think it would be helpful if one party could pre-fill part of a form, then another person could finish filling out the form (i.e. office could fill out customer info, then technician onsite could fill in details and submit form).

Index filter hierarchy rights Project > Document
We need project or folder hierarchy rights management.
If user is added to index field on 'project' document that user
should have rights to project documents linked to this 'project' document.This can be configured with free sql statement on index filter rights but requires join statements which are put in where clause so there is a big performance penalty.

Erweiterung OCR-Konfiguration
Es kommt hin und wieder vor, dass wir für Kunden die Konfiguration des Imaging-Workers anpassen müssen. (z.B. um die Neu-Erstellung des OCR-Textshots zu erzwingen.)
Dies ist allerdings relativ komplex und es gibt auch keine Dokumentation für die notwendigen Parameter bzw. Änderungen.
Außerdem wird bei einem Update diese Änderung wieder überschrieben und auch die Erstellung einer Override-Datei birgt dabei gewisse Risiken.Es wäre sehr hilfreich, wenn in der Konfiguration die Möglichkeit bestünde diese Einstellung direkt vorzunehmen und vor allem auch optisch sichtbar zu machen. Perfekt wäre es zudem, wenn diese auch in den OCR-Profilen hinterlegt und ausgewählten Archiven zugewiesen werden könnten.

Cloud Login nur mit Zertifikat oder über definierte IP-Adressen
Sicherheit in der Cloud ist in den Unternehmen ein wichtiges Thema. Insbesondere das Thema der Hackerangriffe. Deshalb ist gewünscht, das auf den Devices / Rechnern ein Zertifikat hinterlegt sein muss. Als weitere Alternative, dass nur über definierte IP Adressen die Cloud-Anmeldung möglich sein soll.

Schnellsuche/Filter für Briefkörbe,Such-& Ablagedialoge im WebClient (Einstellungen)
Es sollte auch eine Schnellsuche / Filterfunktion für den Bereich Einstellungen im Webclient geben, so wie es auch schon in der Web Administration möglich ist.
In der Web Administration kann man im Bereich "Archive" sowie z.B. "Briefkörbe" und "Connect to Outlook" filtern um z.B. ein Archiv schneller zu finden.
Diese Möglichkeit wünschen wir uns auch für den Bereich "Einstellungen" im WebClient.
Hier werden sämtliche Briefkörbe, sowie Such - & Ablagedialoge, Listen usw. wild durcheinander angezeigt.Hier wäre die Filterfunktion goldwert und würde uns und bestimmt auch anderen viel Zeit beim Suchen ersparen.

Wir haben es unserer Sammlung von Ideen und Funktionen hinzugefügt und werden es weiter untersuchen. Wir können derzeit nicht genau sagen, wann diese Idee umgesetzt wird. Sobald wir weitere Informationen haben, werden wir den Status aktualisieren.Die alphabetische Sortierung der deaktivierten Elemente haben wir für die nächste Version geplant.

DocuWare installation with trusted database login
MSSQL offers the trusted Login with a Windows user. Some customer using this authentication in DocuWare installations. In that case, the SQL Login is not activated. During the upgrade, we are going to need a SQL user. It should be integrated in the DocuWare installation that a sql user is not needed anymore. It should be enough, that the windows service user has enought rights on the SQL database. user

User Productivity Reporting
DocuWare should include some basic reporting for administrative purposes. Our area tracks 40+ users per week to see if they are meeting their scanning requirements. Right now, I do this via the SQL backend and a few queries, but it would be great is I did not have to do this every week. Tracking users via the web interface is not viable when you have so many active daily scan users.

Wir würden gerne nachvollziehen können, welche Belege über Intelligent Indexing abgelegt wurden.
Wir bekommen regelmäßig die Meldung, dass das Kontingent für Intelligent Indexing aufgebraucht ist. Nach unseren manuellen Recherchen, dürfte dies jedoch noch nicht der Fall sein. Da wäre es praktisch, wenn man nachvollziehen könnte, welche Belege über Intelligent Indexing gelaufen sind.
Noch eine Frage zu dem Thema Kontingent:
Ab wann kann man das Kontingent über den Schieberegler selbst aufstocken? Die momentane Umsetzung von der Bestellung bis zur Freischaltung dauert leider sehr lange.7 votes -

Hallo liebes DocuWare Team und die Community,
Da ich in diesem Moment wieder vor dieser Aufgabe stehe, dachte ich mir, ich poste mal meinen Vorschlag, welcher dem ein oder anderen DW-Admin das Leben erleichtern könnte.
(Kurz vorweg: Wenn es bereits so eine Funktion gibt, dann klärt mich bitte auf, vielleicht habe ich auch Tomaten auf den Augen :D)Ich habe in der Vergangenheit (ich glaube bei DW6.1) eine DW-Konfiguration für einen Kunden vorbereitet habe (auf unseren Systemen in der Firma, da ich nicht die ganze Zeit im Kabuff des Kunden sitzen wollte um DW in einem ungemütlichen Ambiente zu konfigurieren.…

Derzeit werden so gespeicherte Tif Dokumente nicht konvertiert und es werden Einzel PDF erzeugt anstelle eines PDF für das gesamte Dokument.7 votes -
Provide permanent deletion tickbox within Deletion Policy
I suggest a tick box in the Deletion Policy configuration to bypass the recycle bin and permanently delete documents. This is especially important for Cloud customers since the consumed archive space will only be released after the final deletion of documents (a manual process if executed before the 30 days) and also because it can take up to 4 hours to see the actual storage reduction. I can see other reasons why this feature would be leveraged: customers running low on archive space who may want to delete a large quantity of documents, engineers wanting to repopulate a cabinet, etc.

DocuWare Forms
Es sollte in Docuware Forms möglich sein, Felder und Schrifgrößen beliebig zu ändern (Formatgröße)
Aktuell möchte ich durch die Dropdown Felder eine komplette Kundenadresse widerspiegeln die sich selbst ausfüllt durch eine Auswahlliste. Leider sind die Zeilenabstände viel zu groß was nicht gut aussieht. Somit unbrauchbar leider.

SMTP Konfiguration über Exchange Webdienste (EWS)
Hallo,
wir testen gerade den Rechnungsversand über die DocuWare Cloud.Nun hat man zwei Möglichkeiten:
Ohne eine SMTP Konfiguration wird mit einer No-Reply Adresse verschickt.
Für uns nur eine sehr schlechte Lösung für den Rechnungsversand. Es kommen hier nie Fehlermeldungen zurück - z.B. Mailbox voll, Mailadresse ungültig, ...Nun kann man aber auch SMTP konfigurieren, was wir auch getestet haben.
Doch leider müssen hierfür sehr viele der unbedingt empfohlenen Sicherheitseintellungen im Office 365 deaktiviert werden, damit das klappt - für uns deswegen absolut nicht machbar.Nun kenne ich das von anderen Cloudanbindungen, wo Exchange-Webdienste (EWS) dafür genutzt werden.
