   This is available with version 6.9.

2. Remove the barcode page after import

   At times, customers do not allow us to stick on the barcode into the original documents. Hence, you have to print out the barcode page to do the splitting of the document-type.

   After importing the documents and doing the splitting the DW Import does NOT have the option to remove this inserted barcode page. It is found in Active Import module.

   I strong recommend to include an option to remove the inserted barcode page to complete the effectiveness on the Barcode insertion.

4. Seperate the Delete Page and Delete Document or give an "are you sure" question before it deletes

   So many times we have scanned a large document and went to delete out a couple of blank pages and the Delete document was accidently hit and you loose everything. Either create an "are you sure" option for the Delete Document or move it away from the Delete Page

5. Lack of functionnalities - Scan - Import modules

   We are missing 'Capture' functionnalities within the Import & scan modules:

   • Blank pages removal
   • Index Enhancement: Database lookup (as in the old active-import module)
   • Allow index 'handling' Ex, barcode recognition + split barcode values for assigning to other index fields,...

   It's seems actually be designed for manual indexing & templates.

   This is available with version 6.5. Index enhancement is only available with Autoindex

6. Make DW scanning faster. Each user could scan 1000 pages a day, not anymore.

   We use to scan 1000 pages a day with the thick client. Now with the new Web Client each user is lucky to scan 200 pages a day. Is there anyway to scan quicker? We feel like we have regressed instead of progressing. We do not like the DW Web Client.

   Hello,
   we are constantly working on a way to improve the performance of DocuWare Desktop and its scan possibilites. In the recent version and also in the upcoming version we also implemented additional functions to process much more than 200 pages a day.

   Just as a rough benchmark: Without using OCR, DocuWare is able to scan up to 100 pages a minute. Of course the performance is always dependent of each system and its settings.

7. Allow to zoom larger size to look at document when looking at thumbnails

   Allow to make the thumbnail larger to see document when scan for example increase size to 100 to 150 etc.

   The preview is then always as big as the application window.

8. Give me a scanner button, and make it easy to find and use.

   Scanning but into Docuware instead of windows explorer.

   Thanks for your idea. There is already a scan button inside the document tray, which opens the Desktop Scanner.

   If this is not sufficient, please explain the idea in more detail.
