    Need to add the functionality to split on barcode change in value just like we have on text criteria.

  3. I suggest that Connect To Outlook allows users to choose what parts of the email to store witin the store dialog.

    When storing an email, many users would prefer to be able to choose what part of the email to store. There are 3rd party add ons that allow this. It is frustrating for users when the logo from their email signatures are stored and is the first thing displayed in the viewer instead of the important PDF that was attached.

    Starting in Version 6.8 we added the ability to strip images in email (by size and type). In 6.9 we added the ability to exclude all inline images. In the dialog you have the option to choose what is stored first, the email body or the attachments. Additionally, with Version 6.11 you will be able to store each attachment individually with separate store configurations.

  4. Introduce Document Identification to the Docuware Import

    The Docuware printer is great because based on OCR it can identify documents so that it can choose which Docuware printer profile to use. For example if an invoice from “Vendor A” is received it knows the document layout for indexing for Vendor A, and likewise for Vendor B, etc. Furthermore based off the identification it can determine the destination such as storing in a specific cabinet or basket.

    Docuware Import should be given the same functionality, such that it is able to identify documents based off specified identification regions. From this identification it should be able to determine which…

  5. Support Office/Outlook 64bit for Connect To Outlook

    Currently, only the 32bit version of Outlook is supported for Connect To Outlook.

  6. Allow for Meta Index files like in Active Import

    There was a significant loss in functionality when Active Import was replaced with Import. The addition of Meta Index Files would be very helpful.

  7. Remove the barcode page after import

    At times, customers do not allow us to stick on the barcode into the original documents. Hence, you have to print out the barcode page to do the splitting of the document-type.

    After importing the documents and doing the splitting the DW Import does NOT have the option to remove this inserted barcode page. It is found in Active Import module.

    I strong recommend to include an option to remove the inserted barcode page to complete the effectiveness on the Barcode insertion.

  8. Enhance document separation based on barcodes

    Importer allows you to specify OCR criteria for splitting of documents rather well. For barcodes, this is not possible yet. It would be great if you could enhance this so that a specific value from a barcode (either full code or part of that code) can be defined. You should also consider allowing the length of the barcode as a criterium for separation.

  9. Windows Explorer Client - Edit Documents

    When a customer is using the Windows Explorer Client they should be able to edit the doc(as long as they have the rights) by double clicking rather than having to right click and edit.

    It is very confusing that if you double click you can edit the document & save it back to the same location but this does nothing to the document within DocuWare.

  10. Connect to Mail

    Connect to Mail is able to store only attached documents like a PDF invoice included into the corresponding e-mail. There is a problem with signature and images in relation with the e-mail because they are considered like attached documents too. Result is a document with several pages and the only needed is the Invoice PDF

  11. Storing multiple files with WEC.

    When store multiple files using DocuWare WEC there should be an option to store multiple files with out have the store dialog being displayed for each file. The was an option of DocuWare 6.5 but has been removed from DocuWare 6.6.

  12. Allow Applications to be installed or updated with a service account

    In situations where users do not have administrator access to their desktops it would be nice to be able to specify a service account that could be used to install applications or plugins. The new upgrade feature is great, but would not work if the users don't have admin access.

  14. Restore the ability to connect SmartConnect to a read only connection.

    You cannot connect docuware desktop apps (or officially the mobile client) to the read only platform instance. you could do these things in 6.1.

  15. Seperate the Delete Page and Delete Document or give an "are you sure" question before it deletes

    So many times we have scanned a large document and went to delete out a couple of blank pages and the Delete document was accidently hit and you loose everything. Either create an "are you sure" option for the Delete Document or move it away from the Delete Page

  16. Allow the end user to change the page size in DocuWare Printer.

    By default the page size sent to a basket from DocuWare Printer is A4. Although this can be changed in the registry, this is not convenient for the end users. I propose that the end users be allowed to change this in the Windows printer preferences dialog. Additionally, it would be beneficial if separate instances of the DocuWare printer could be created for different page sizes- e.g. DocuWare Printer Letter, DocuWare Printer Legal, etc.

  17. Allow Connect to Outlook to be configured to import from sub-folders

    Connect to Outlook should have the ability to also read from folders below the source folder identified in the configuration. For example, an attorney has a client folder with sub-folders below the top level client folder. The sub-folders contain the emails associated with the various matters that they are working on for the client.

  18. Allow Connect to Outlook to use folder names for indexing

    Add an option in Connect to Outlook that allows it to dynamically use the folder name in Outlook to populate an index field in the file cabinet.

  19. Lack of functionnalities - Scan - Import modules

    We are missing 'Capture' functionnalities within the Import & scan modules:

    • Blank pages removal
    • Index Enhancement: Database lookup (as in the old active-import module)
    • Allow index 'handling' Ex, barcode recognition + split barcode values for assigning to other index fields,...

    It's seems actually be designed for manual indexing & templates.

    This is available with version 6.5. Index enhancement is only available with Autoindex

  20. Allow scheduling for the User Synchronization app

    For on-premise, the AD synchronization can happen on a schedule. I would expect the desktop app for 7 Cloud to have the same capability, but sadly it doesn't. My customers now have to manually run the sync on a daily basis. They don't love that.
