Add Scan/Upload Management Capability Into Docuware Desktop Apps Scan Feature
SYMPTOM: When the user scans and clicks the upload button the program shows a message "Your document is being created and uploaded" For no apparent reason this process hangs, and, if left alone will run indefinitely.
PROBLEM: The symptom above effectively cripples any further SCAN & UPLOAD processing on the computer until a manual intervention is performed.
SOLUTION: When this happens, and it has happened to a number of different customers over the course of the last three months, and longer, we have taken the steps outlined here:
https://www.docuware.com/support_faq/index.php?solution_id=4707
We have seen this happen with and without the changes to the LOCAL INTRANET ZONE in the browser.
It occurs with and without any exclusions in the antivirus software being used.
It also occurs in Windows 7, and Windows 10.
It occurs in Docuware 6.7 (all the way up to HFP 51), 6.9, and 6.10
Ultimately this is NOT a solution. Here is the proposition:
The program needs to be able to:
1.) identify the offending document
2.) provide a method for stopping the offending document upload
3.) a control for clearing the temp folder.
We have many high volume customers that scan all day-every day. when this trouble occurs - it causes a high level of backlog and frustration.

At some clients a scan app upload errors and I will have to kill services, locate in the temp folder the upload job, clear it out and restart services just so the client can perform more scan jobs.
I would like to see an adjustable timeout added to the process to end an upload that errors, sits there and clogs the service preventing other uploads.
