  1. Choose if a File Cabinet Document is brought in As Stored or converted to PDF

    Docuware has been inconsistent with Trays. Some versions convert all documents going into the tray from the file cabinet to PDF and current versions do not.

    There are good reasons for both.

    In the case of a legacy system that was once all TIFF images this is very helpful to bring them up-to-date.

    In the case of loosing the ability to maintain a records integrity, it should not be allowed.

    If you allowed administration to choose a Trays ability to convert or not would allow both.

  2. Make it possible to change the processor and make it show in another's tray.

    If you store the invoice into our non-trade invoices with the wrong processor it won't change to the chosen new processors tray. There should be a way to have it transfer than having it be copied and stored correctly, then wait for the controller of the docuware client here to delete the original

  3. Delete Function

    Is there anyway we can remove the "Delete from tray" as a choice. If we need to delete a document from the tray we can always right click and choose delete. It is causing problems for us, eighteen indexed documents were deleted and now we have to rescan and index.

    Thank you for your idea.
    Unfortunately, due to several factors we are currently not able to plan this idea for a future version.  Document Trays are personal workspaces for users. If you want to prevent deletion, please store the documents to a file cabinet.

  5. Limit Web Basket Access

    It would be nice to be able to grant or deny read/write access to the web baskets. Currently, it is either you have access to do everything or no access.

    We have users that are required to have access to a common web basket, however, they accidently end up deleting other users documents stored in the web basket. Admin should be able to deny delete access for users. They should be able to view and post documents, but not be able to delete documents from the basket.

  6. Add the ability to create folders in a document tray where you can put document before storing

    Add the option via right click -> new folder and drop files into it.
    Example:
    Someone is in charge of scanning and importing a high amount of document into a document tray
    Someone else is in charge of indexing and storing these documents
    It would be easier for the people to find documents if they are placed in specific folders

    Thank you for your idea. Unfortunately, due to several factors we are currently not able to plan this idea for a future version.

    This is exactly why you can setup multiple document trays. One for the user who scans the document and another one for the one who stores the documents. The second user can then always move the documents from tray 1 to tray 2.
