scroll to the next page with mouse wheel
The users are used to scroll down pages (e.g. in Adobe Reader, Word, ...).
In the Viewer they always have to use the arrow key symbols on the right or top.
It would be nice to scroll through the pages of one file with the scroll wheel of the mouse.
Also this function could ask, if the end of the file is reached and the document consists of more than one file if the following file should be opened.250 votes -
Restore the ability to set a default zoom for viewing documents.
When you open documents in the web client the resulting view seems very inconsistent. Users would like to be able to set a default for fit to width and other options like we used to see in the Result List dialog web options.

copy and paste OCR Result outside Docuware
Would be great, if you can use the OCR Results from the Docuware Viewer outside from Docuware. Copy Text from viewer and paste it outside Applications like Outlook or Word.
23 votesThis feature will become available with the next version of DocuWare. The content of annotations and stamps can be copied in case layers were merged.

Rotate & Deskew in file cabinet
Enabling a feature that allows user to either manually or automatically rotate & deskew a document that is already stored in the file cabinet will allow a user free frustration. Or Enable the auto rotate and deskew when pulling file from Monitored folders.

Allow rotation of documents before and after storage
If a document is not in the correct orientation for that specific document allow rotation prior to storage so that when viewed the document would be in the correct orientation.
Also,
If a document has already been stored without being in the correct orientation allow that document to be put into a basket for editing and rotated at that time and re-stored14 votesWill be available through the “Automatic image correction” toolbar button in the viewer

Web Basket
When copying a document to a web basket, in order to unstaple and rearrange, it would be nice if the unstapled pages would appear in the basket in consecutive page order. When we unstaple documents they then appear in random order that has no rhyme of reason.

I suggest to allow the defaults to be customizable in the HTML 5 Viewer
I'm not sure that this directly relates to Intelligent Indexing but I did not see a better category to add this suggestion. It would be wonderful if we could have the ability to customize (and save) more defaults in the DocuWare WebClient HTML 5 Viewer - for example, the annotation tool's type face & font color, the viewer magnification, etc. Currently we can change the default text size and color but it will not retain once we log out. We love the annotation tool and the colors are useful for our company in identifying which employee typed the text (without…

Maintain zoom and rotation in Web viewer.
In the thick client if zoom or rotation is set on a document, the viewer maintains the same zoom or rotation for next document opened in viewer. This is very helpful when processing multiple documents. In the web viewer this is not the case. It defaults back to a zoom level that is too large for the viewer and rotation is always reverted back to default.

Ability to sort on multiple columns in task or results list
Allow user to select sort order based on column heading by indicating as level 1, 2 or 3. Another option is make task and results list automatically sort by three left most columns in order. This way user can order columns of list so left most column is first sort order followed by second and third column.

Your idea is already available. To sort by up to three columns you can first click on the first column, then use Shift and click on the second column.

Provide better messaging for how a user should deal with a non viewable file format.
Currently when selecting a non-viewable file format such as a .wav file, a general message displays in the viewer stating, "The page cannot be rendered", and a temporary error message pops up stating, "Not supported file format: .wav". This is also the case in Fortis which produces a message stating, "Error The display engine for this format is not installed". In Fortis, you can simply hit the launch button to launch the associated app for the file, in Docuware, you must right click on the file in the search results and hit edit. Both work fine but the messaging is…

Page Resizing While Viewing Multi-Page Documents
I've created an E-Form allowing photos to be added as attachments. When it comes into DocuWare, the first page (the form) looks great, but the second page (the photo) is very large. If I resize the photo down, and switch back to the first page, the document is tiny. It would be helpful if you could do something about this, either resize photos to fit the window automatically, or allow each page to be sized independently.
1 voteThis is already possible if you use the viewing options “Fit to width” or “Fit to whole page”

Thank you for your contribution. Column order is stored in your local browser storage.
Or can be configured in the file cabinet configuration.

Have the ability to specify the default document size in the viewer.
Would like to have the ability to specify the default viewing size for a folder. Resizing the view window doesn't change the default 8.5 x 11 default size. When displaying greenbar reports or other text documents, the default 8.5 x 11 size causes the report to word wrap and makes it almost unreadable.

Ability to add graphical annotations
Currently there is no way to add an image as an annotation.

When not in field edit mode allow point and shoot to copy data to computer buffer memory
When you are just viewing the image, since you are not in edit mode on the fields, point and shoot currently does nothing even though it appears you can highlight text.
Why not allow that action to copy the text to the buffer for pasting into any other app?
