New DocuWare UI
I tried the new DocuWare UI this morning, Oct 23, 2026. There is way too wasted space at the top of the browser that the document viewing window is now the bottom 1/4 of the screen. Most of my users have the browser zoom on too, so be mindful of that as well. My feedback would be for a Document Management application, the viewing window HAS to stay the full right side of the window. It seems like more clicks to jump from tab to tab, where as before you could go right from your tray to a specific search…

Feedback zur neuen DocuWare-Version – erhebliche Einschränkungen bei der täglichen Arbeit
Hallo DocuWare-Team,
zunächst möchte ich betonen, dass mir das Design der neuen DocuWare-Oberfläche grundsätzlich gut gefällt. Die moderne Gestaltung wirkt ansprechend und zeitgemäß.Leider muss ich jedoch feststellen, dass die neue Version im täglichen Arbeitsablauf erhebliche Nachteile mit sich bringt. Aus meiner Sicht wurde bei der Neugestaltung zu viel Wert auf die Optik und zu wenig auf eine effiziente Nutzung der verfügbaren Bildschirmfläche gelegt.
Die Informationsdichte ist im Vergleich zur bisherigen Version drastisch gesunken. Dies führt dazu, dass Arbeitsabläufe deutlich umständlicher werden und produktives Arbeiten teilweise kaum noch möglich ist.

Unable to change the tray view in new DW. I personally find the list view useless. Please add the index card view option.

Trigger a Document Processing Configuration through Web Service (internal Document Processing, not IDP)
We have many customers that want to use Document Processing configurations but do not want to use local folders to store the documents. Instead, they will scan it from the multifunction devices directly into the Docuware cabinet, in our case, through Ricoh Smart Integration.
Once the document is in the cabinet, we build a workflow to call the Document Processing configuration web service. Currently this is being done with IDP, but the customer wants to use the internal Document Processing, not IDP.

New DocuWare - Tabs with colour of cabinet
Could it be possible to see the colour of the cabinet on tabs in the new DocuWare like it is in the "former" DocuWare? This is very helpful for our customers. It is also true for trays, and search and results.

Task Overview
In new DW, clicking on a task brings up an AI overview. This is, frankly, useless. I don't need an overview. I need to see the document itself. The AI overview should be an opt in feature or removed altogether.

Allow for Duplicate Detection from the Tray
Intelligent Indexing already captures information like the Vendor and Invoice Number. Why not allow for Duplicate Detection starting with the Tray. Even if the Related link is made available, that would be helpful

Assign variable role/list of roles to list of users
Ability to assign workflow global variable "role/list of roles" to global variable "list of users" in order to resolve role users.

The administrator account should be separate from the user accounts.
It's quite complicated to explain to a client that they need to pay for an administrator account so we can connect to their cloud services and resolve issues or develop new features. Each cloud service should have an associated admin account that isn't paid for directly by the client.

Using X for today's date in New DocuWare fills in the current time, not 12 midnight-the search finds Nothing with one or both Xs
This should work as with Classic DocuWare, with the X filling in the prior midnight not the current time

The “Validation” tab in DocuWare v7.14 should be hidden by default unless it is configured.
Background:
- The “Validation” tab is currently displayed in the user interface without prior announcement or feature explanation, which may cause some confusion for users.
- In DocuWare, elements such as “Lists” and “Folders” are typically not shown in the user interface unless they are configured.
- However, the “Validation” tab appears to be visible even when it is not configured, which feels different from the behavior users are familiar with.
- In addition, DocuWare IDP is not currently available in the Japanese market, so having a non-usable feature constantly visible may lead to misunderstandings or unnecessary inquiries.Request:

Better guidance in WF Task integration
New DocuWare: When I click a link to task in an email, and the tasks is already completed, you see an empty screen without guidance. This is very misleading.
(In the previous client you would see the workflow history)

Organization
Our organization uses a tray that is visible to several users. In new DW, other users are unable to see documents sitting in the shared tray. The only person who can see them is the person who put them there. This is a critical problem.

Manual Adjustment of Connector Lines in Web Workflow Designer
In the current Web Workflow Designer, connector lines between activities are automatically routed. However, users cannot manually adjust the shape of these lines, such as bend points, curves, or routing paths.
This limitation makes it difficult to maintain clear and readable workflows,
especially in complex scenarios where multiple activities and connections overlap.It would be highly beneficial to allow users to manually adjust connector lines (e.g., moving bend points or customizing routing paths), or provide an option to switch between automatic and manual routing.
