Connect to Outlook: Process Downloaded Attachments through an Import Configuration
Often "standardised" documents are received in an email inbox. currently there is no seamless method to run these documents through a pre-configured import configuration to identify, split and autoindex the document. Currently Emails, Attachments and/or Emails+Attachments can only be stored in a Tray or Cabinet, thus missing the processing advantage.

thank you very much for your input. We are going to discuss and evaluate this idea.Right now – even if it is not seamless – you can already use the DocuWare Import functionality if you drag and drop Attachments/E-Mails to an Import folder or use the “Store As” function from Outlook.

Automatically update the Desktop Apps
I have many users that don't always notice when they have pending Desktop Apps updates and end up putting in support tickets for issues the update would resolve. Can you provide an option at least for the updates to install automatically?
47 votesThank you for your idea. We added it to our collection of ideas and features and will further investigate it. We currently cannot say exactly when this idea will be implemented. As soon as we have more information we will update its status.

Upgrades kill custom settings
Configuration files are often modified in a live system. But the modifications are lost when the system is upgraded.
I recommend updating the excellent upgrade guide FAQ #2594 to add reference to this issue. The issue is further described in FAQ #4134.
An additional argument could be made for a utility to run prior to upgrade that ran through the server folders and noted any ".settings" and ".config" files that had changed since the last upgrade. (Further option would be for the utility to rename them so the installer wouldn't delete them prior to the upgrade.)

index select
Most sites, when you start typing in a field will show the top field in the entry box with selection list below. It would be so much easier to simply hit enter or tab when the top item is reached rather than having to click or use the arrow to move down to the line. It would speed up indexing enormously.

Icons in Werkzeugeleiste vergrößern
Die Icons in der Werkzeugleiste sollten vergrößert werden können. Bei höheren Auflösungen werden die sehr klein.

Connect to Outlook - PDF import - Seitenanzahl
Beim Import von PDF Dateien aus Outlook mit "Connect to Outlook" sollte es möglich sein die Seiten vorher auszuwählen.
So kann ich nur die eigentliche Rechnung ohne weitere Anhänge in das System importieren.

Feldmasken auch auf Datumsfeldern
Feldmasken sollten auch auf Datumsfelder hinterlegt werden, sodass beispielsweise ein Feld wie "Leistungsmonat" nur mit vordefinierten Einträgen (z.B. nur der Monats erste oder Monatsletzte) gefüllt werden kann.

Add a popup icon to the DW icon in task bar if there are documents in inbox
See attached file. I had a customer Pease & Sons Inc. that made this suggestion. They have a user that is not in the system all the time but would like a notification when documents are put into her tray. This occurs as other users all put documents into her tray. If there was just a window notification or little number (see image) it would help her know that she has something to do.

Capture data from barcode in to Forms
If we can capture data from a barcode directly into a web form using a mobile device, we can eliminate the human error at the time of capture of index data and this will make the job much faster in a production line, much like an import job from a pc that can read and capture the information contained in the barcode, see attached image for a sample of a capture from a mobile device.

Generierung von neuen Dokumenten mit Indexeinträgen aus DocuWare
Hallo,
folgendes Szenario:
Wir haben eine Revisionsliste in der eine Sicherheitsunterweisung jährlich wiederholt werden muss. Auf der Sicherheitsunterweisung stehen variable Informationen wie Name, Vorname, Personalnummer, Datum der Unterweisung, Unterweisender, etc. Aktuell erhält der User die Aufgabe, die Unterweisung erneut durchzuführen und das Dokument zu ersetzen. Jetzt muss der User sich aber zunächst aus einem anderen System ein neues Unterweisungsblatt generieren, dies könnte DW doch aber ganz einfach übernehmen wenn es z.B. Möglich wäre über den Workflow Designer oder einen Webservice das Dokument (z.B. eine Word Vorlage welche Textmarken enhält) entsprechend mit Indexeinträgen aus DocuWare zu füllen und dem User direkt…

Automatic Stamp
There is a Module for Docuware called "AutoStamp". As DSC, this module would be useful for all my customers.
I suggest that you create a nice Config for AutoStamp instead of having to edit the xml files and publish it either in the DW Standard or as an extra Module.
Just include it in DocuWare and not run it as its own webservice, this is horrible.3 votes -
Administrative Push notifications to Docuware Users
Sometimes you may need to alert users of a potential system down time for maintenance, or you have made changes to behaviour in a file cabinet that you would like to communicate, or they need to upgrade Desktop Apps.
It would be nice to send out a push notification as a user task notifying them of the communication.

Dynamische Entscheidungen in Aufgaben
WorkFlow Manager: Nicht immer benötigt eine Aufgabe alle Entscheidungen bzw. eine ganz spezifische Entscheidung. Ich wünsche mir dass man je Entscheidung festlegen kann wann diese in der Aufgabe eingeblendet wird. Ähnlich den Auslöser-Bedingungen des WorkFlows selbst.
Jeder Anwender sieht so immer die Summe aller Entscheidungen, welche man irgendwie bei dem jeweiligen Aufgabenschritt benötigt - auch wenn diese etwa aufgrund des Status des Dokuments, der betroffenen Abteilung, dem Ergebnis einer externen SQL Abfrage usw. keinen Sinn machen.
Wir behelfen uns heute damit, dass wir im Extremfall die Aufgabe mehrmals erstellen (mit vorgelagerter Bedingung), aber wir alle wissen wie aufwendig es ist…

Es wäre schön wenn man Links im Dokument aus dem DocuWare Viewer heraus aufrufen könnte.

Ablage von verschlüsselten E-Mails mit Signaturen/Anhängen über Connect to Mail
Aktuell können verschlüsselte E-Mails nicht von Connect to Mail verarbeitet werden. Die E-Mail verbleiben im Posteingang und die Abarbeitung der Konfiguration stoppt.
Da in Zukunft von einem erhöhtem Auftreten von verschlüsselten E-Mails zu rechnen ist, sollte hierfür eine Lösung gefunden werden. Zumal Connect to Mail bei einigen Kunden für eine automatisierte Archivierung von E-Mail nach den Verordnungen der GOBD Richtlinien eingesetzt wird.18 votesVielen Dank für Ihre Idee.

Automatische Markierung von Werten in einem Index-Feld, wenn Sie aus einer Auswahlliste stammen oder mit bestehenden Werten übereinstimmen
Wenn z.B. der Intellix Indexfelder befüllt, dann ist nicht ersichtlich, ob der Wert, der in dem Feld eingetragen ist, mit Werten übereinstimmt, die bereits vorhanden sind.
Beispiel: der Intellix füllt das Feld GP mit "Huber GmbH"; wenn ich weiß, dass es bereits weitere Dokumente von dem GP im System gibt, ist nicht ersichtlich, ob der Intellix auch tatsächlich die bereits bestehende Schreibweise in das Feld gefüllt hat.
In Österreich wird die GmbH auch gerne mit GesmbH abgekürzt; bestehende Dokumente könnten also unter dem GP "Huber GesmbH" archiviert sein.

Dynamische Drag&Drop Gruppierfunktion in allen Listen
Über die Ordneransicht kann man ja mittlerweile eine recht starre Gruppierung von Listen erreichen. Eine vollkommen dynamische und mehrstufige Gruppierfunktion in jeder Liste im Client wäre für ALLE Anwender sinnvoll.
Datev hat das in neueren Programmteilen recht schön umgesetzt:
Man setzt über den Spaltennamen einen Haken "Gruppieren" und hat dann einen Drag&Drop Bereich wo man die gewünschten Felder einfach drauf ziehen kann.
Die Liste unten wird dann mit +/- aufklappbar gruppiert dargestellt.6 votes -
Hinzufügen von Informationen (Wasserzeichen/Signatur/Stempel) beim Export/Druck/Versand
Guten Tag,
es wäre schön, wenn man beim Export, Versand per Mail, Druck, Download aus DocuWare dem jeweiligen Dokument ein Wasserzeichen/Signatur/Stempel aufdrucken könnte.
Diese Information sollte sich z.B. aus Metadatenfeldern (z.B. DocID, Datum...) sowie statischen Informationen (Freitext, Export-User) zusammensetzen können.So kann man ein bereits abgelegtes, aber sich im (externen) Umlauf befindliches Dokument identifizieren und den Exporteur nachvollziehen.
(Wenn z.B. Dokumente an externe Dritte geschickt werden müssen, die kein DW Zugriff haben).Vielen Dank und viele Grüße
