Introduce Document Identification to the Docuware Import
The Docuware printer is great because based on OCR it can identify documents so that it can choose which Docuware printer profile to use. For example if an invoice from “Vendor A” is received it knows the document layout for indexing for Vendor A, and likewise for Vendor B, etc. Furthermore based off the identification it can determine the destination such as storing in a specific cabinet or basket.
Docuware Import should be given the same functionality, such that it is able to identify documents based off specified identification regions. From this identification it should be able to determine which…22 votesThis is available with the version 6.9.

Add document identification to DWImport
Please think about adding the identification option in Docuware Import.
When printing documents, you have the ability to identify a document based on a bar code or text value and then assign it to a template to then determine what zone you will scrape data for indexing. In dwimport you do not have this so each template needs its own import job. We get around this by scanning or dropping electronic pdf's to the DWPrinter watch folder and then identifying the document based on the identification tab. Provide more information with the history
The current history provides NO information as to why there was a warning or an error . It would be helpful as to WHAT the warning was for and what the error was..ALSO IF the error was related to DATA that was poorly formed ie: bad field, bad date, etc it seems more prudent to provide the users a way to deal with theses images.....EXAMPLE: Image is being brought in using dwcontrol and the date field is a bad date (like Feb, 31, 2015) but the rest of the data is good, instead of FAILING the image and placing it…

Filter on Importjobs
With many importjobs it should give the abillity to sort or filter.
f.e. filter all stopped Jobs, all with error etc.

for users that do not have admin access have a package/msi file to allow install/upgrade via MS system center or other similar software

Import as a service
It would be useful to have an option to run DW Import as a service.
1 voteDocuWare Import is already a service which can import documents even if no user is logged in. Just set up an Import job watching a local folder and then the documents are imported automatically. If you want to monitor network folders then you need to be logged in, as the service does not have access rights to the network. Or you could change the service user account.

Implement TRIM function to DocuWare Import
If in the PDF one field has the value "H E L L O WORLD !", please consider to add the function TRIM to transform the value in "HELLO WORLD!" during the import.
