  1. workflow notifications in history

    DocuWare Workflow History on a document shows emails on a reassign of a task but it does NOT show any email activity when a task has notification enabled to send an email to the assigned user of a task. History absolutely needs to include an entry when a task notification email is sent as one of the automated activities.

  2. Ability to e sign documents with Adobe Sign

    Like DocuSign and VIDSigner integration, Docuware must have an integration with Adobe Sign. It's a big esignature provider in the world and a lot of customers have a subscription with they and they don't want change of provider. We've lost a lot of bussiness for this reason.

  3. Allow storer to select "store document in black and white" when scanned in color

    Documents stored in color are much larger than those in black and white. Allow user to require documents to be stored only in b/w, even if this causes a color document to be converted to b/w pdf prior to storing. Should be able to be over-ridden by authorized users.

  4. Improve error notification in a task activity validation tab.

    The validation tab will give you an error when configuring it incorrectly however if you rename the activity or rename fields then the validation gets broken. You can save the task and publish the workflow without a notification that the validation is broken. This causes an error when the user tries to confirm the task.

  5. Provide a section to enter comments when publishing a workflow.

    A comments section when publishing a workflow would be useful for tracking changes made to each version.

  6. Expiration date for DocuWare Forms

    When creating a form, have an option to set an expiration date after which the form will be deleted and not appear anymore in the Forms list of the web client. This can be useful for time-sensitive campaigns, such as RSVP'ing to an event or entering a contest.

  7. Enable multiselect or checkbox on search dialog dropdown menu

    It would be usefull to have the option to select multiple values form a select list in search dialog.

    Example:
    - company has 10 Business Entities
    - using only one search dialog we could enable management to search through specific group of entities (eg. 1, 2, 6, 8)

    Idea is to not have 10 different search dialogs locked on each BE.

    Same could be applied to document type field, to filter just one or two, or 5 different types.

    We already have 20+ store dialogs which limit store permissions for specific people based on entity and doc. type.

  8. Allow for the ability to select the result dialog for each docuware workflow.

    It would be nice to be able to select a specific result dialog for each workflow instead of always being forced to use the default workflow. This becomes challenging when the workflow are from completely different processes.

  9. Processing Profiles - Split into Multiple Documents - Each with own set of indexing values and read out areas

    Transferring from other DMS's - Users normally scanned a pack of documents as a single pdf, it would be useful if we can put this through a processing profile to 'Identify','split',Index each document

    In example Employee onboarding pack
    (may contain a ID document, Bank Account confirmation letter, Employment contract, etc.)

    You would create sub profiles (or main profiles, then link to this profile) for each expected document, those not identified will have default indexes using the original input files' indexes, those that are defined is split / indexed and stored as per the sub profile.

  12. Move document trays configuration to User Management

  13. Ability to copy or duplicate a table field in a cabinet

    I have a client that needs the ability to store 7000 lines for some invoices and each line needs to be described in 3 different tables(12 columns for each table). Because of the limits imposed by table fields (1000 rows max per table), I need to create 21 identical tables by hand, which is... heavy...

    This problem led me to this post, where I am sharing my frustration and I hope that the community will vote for this topic :) .

  14. Locking an open document in the Document Tray

    Our customer often work on shared document tray to which a many people have access to.
    Unfortunately very common happened that the same document is opened in Document Tray by two or more persons and they try to store it in Docuware.
    The one who is faster will store it and the other one will receive an error message that such document does not exist anymore.

    So we ask to add functionality of locking an access to the document in Document Tray if someone opens such a document in Document Tray.

  15. Create an Admin message function

    Create the ability for an Admin to post a login message for users to alert them to updates, new information, or whatever an Admin wants their users to know. Just a pop-up that can be closed by the user after reading it.

  16. Support for DocuWare Cloud Desktop Apps on Windows 365 Business/Enterprise environment

    Many users will use Windows 365, the Cloud PC environment released from Microsoft this year. DocuWare Desktop Apps must also be supported for this environment.

    This request includes support for virtual environments in Azure Desktop and AWS EC2 as well as Windows 365.

  17. Enable viewer to show several pages at once

    We have a lot of invoices with 2 or 3 pages. It would therefore be a great time saver if the viewer window would display all 2 or 3 pages at once. After all, there is more than enough grey space for that even if the first page is being displayed in full hight.

    It would be nice to have a comment tool in Workflow where you could draw colored boxes around groups of activity blocks and add tool tips to the blocks that describes what that section of the workflow is doing.

  19. Better Silent Install Options on System Upgrade - Creates a Bind Now

    System upgrades present a pretty big challenge for enterprises with a large number of DocuWare Desktop Apps users. The upgrade package is not available until the system has been upgraded and that leaves about zero time for their technical teams to arrange for the upgrade via silent install. This is a real cause of trouble for these customers. We need a better way to handle the system upgrade/desktop apps situation for system upgrades.
