1. Zoom to intelligent index zone

   Similar to many capture products Intelligent Indexing should have a configurable option to "zoom to zone" so that when the user is focused on a certain field (say the Invoice Number) the document viewer will zoom into that highlighted location on the document. This helps achieve a quicker review of the document. An example of this is attached.

   Thank you for your idea. We added it to our collection of ideas and features and will further investigate it. We currently cannot say exactly when this idea will be implemented. As soon as we have more information we will update its status.

2. API um DW Funktionen zu überwachen

   Wir haben oft das Bedürfnis DocuWare Funktionen mit Nagios/Zabbix zu überwachen. Dazu wäre eine API sehr hilfreich. Folgende Funktionen könnten damit dann überwacht werden:

   • DocuWare Import Jobs (status/Dokumente in Warteschlange - falls mal ein Pfad nicht zur Verfügung steht, wird Import abgebrochen, aber nicht automatisch fortgesetzt)

   • Auto Index (status/Meldungen/Laufzeit - ob ein Job die maximale Laufzeit überschritten hat, o.ä.)

   • WorkflowManager (Dokumente in Verarbeitung / weitere statistische Werte)

   • Allgemeine statistische Werte (wie viele Dokumente im Archiv, wie viele kommen täglich dazu, letzte Fehlermeldungen, ...)

   Auch wäre es schön beim Zugriff auf diese API keine extra Lizenz zu verbrauchen, sondern den Zugriff vlt. über eine Art Token zu steuern, den man in der Administration definiert.

3. Gruppierung nach Datum im Windows Explorer Client

   Wir nutzen aus dem alten Windows Client die Baumansicht welche nach dem Ablagedatum gruppiert ist. Leider ist die Gruppierung nach Datum und Integer Werten im Windows Explorer Client nicht möglich. Dieses sollte aber recht leicht wieder zu implementieren sein.

   Ich hätte gern die Option in der DW-Printer-Konfiguration (zur Version 6.8 gefragt), dass ein Anwender auch die Möglichkeit hat im DW-Printer statisch eine CFG auswählen kann - mit optionaler fixer Vorbelegung neben dem bisherigen "-AUTOMATISCH-"

   Wenn eine statische Fallback-CFG besser umzusetzen wäre, dann gern auch das (wählbar durch den Anwender)

6. Camera Metadata for indexing

   Access Windows meta information during indexing files in the Document Tray or in Import Configurations. Many files contain native data that can be valuable in the documents index, ex., for photos, timestamps, camera Id and etc. - this would be an advance equivalent to point and shoot for the operator and a huge enhancement to Import

   Das Öffnen im Bearbeiten-Modus mehrerer Dokumente soll durch Öffnen mehrerer Dokumente möglich sein.
   Funktionsweise: Markieren mehrere Dokumente, Bearbeiten mittels Kontextmenü.
   Dieses Funktion wäre auch im WebClient in der Ergebnisliste wünschenswert.

    Durch das Beschränken von Seiten für das intelligent Indexing werden unsinnige Werteauslesungen weiter begrenzt.

11. ADD DIRECTED HELP! The old Docuware Full Client had help complicated things like FULL TEXT SEARCHES.....The

    ADD Directed HELP for the users as you have in the full client.
    One of the things that made Docuware such a great product was the fact that there was HELP on every page. Users could hit HELP and find out how to structure a FULLTEXT PHRASE search or sort but now help is so difficult to navigate that users just COMPLAIN!

    IF there is help it is also a great reminder to us on certain features as it is not everyday that I dop a search for 2 words in a phrase that are 3 words apart....I have to look that I....TODAY I used the full client because it is FULL FEATURED the web clients LACKS MANY of these easy to use features that made Docuware easy to use.

    I had a complaint today from a user today:

    does not find results for “chief of staff”, but rather every single occurrence of “chief” and “staff” (ignoring the “of”). Again, way too many results. Adding “” or + does not help capture the phrase.

    I thought I remember reading that 6.7 addressed searching phrases. That does not seem to be an option. Is there a technique we should try like adding “” or + or &20 (ascii space code), etc. for this to work?

    As a comparison, below is how CMS’s Outlook Enterprise Vault prompts for either “any”, “phrase” or “all off” to achieve the results we need to achieve in DocuWare.

12. Änderungsrechte bisher erforderlich in Ergebnisliste bei inaktiven Feldern vom Typ Notiz oder Stichwort

    Es ist etwas schwer zu beschreiben, da auch der DW-Support lange brauchte, um dieses Problem nachzuvollziehen.
    In Version 6.2 hat es noch funktioniert, in Version 6.7 funktioniert es leider nicht mehr.

    Und zwar haben wir Archivprofile mit Indexfilter, mit dessen Hilfe wir abhängig von den Indexbegriffen das Änderungsrecht auf einige Felder erteilen. Das Schreibrecht ist generell nicht gegeben. In der Infobox ist der Haken gesetzt "Bearbeitung ermöglichen" (aber auch ohne diesen Haken ist das Verhalten identisch).
    Unsere Stichwortfelder oder unser Notizfeld ist für viele Benutzer wegen dem fehlenden Änderungsrecht nicht editierbar, demnach wird es in der Infobox ausgegraut. Möchte ich andere Indexbegriffe ändern und diese ausgegrauten Felder befinden sich in der Infobox und sind bereits mit Inhalt gefüllt, dann erscheint eine Meldung, dass wegen fehlenden Rechten die Indexbegriffe nicht gespeichert werden können. sobald ich die Stichwort und Notizfelder entferne oder dem entsprechenen Benutzer Änderungsrechte dafür gebe, lassen sich die Indexbegriffe abspeichern.
    In der 6.2 war es so, dass hierfür kein Änderungsrecht vorhanden war. Da hatte ich diese Felder im Wortsinne der Infobox dort mit aufgeführt, d.h. als Info, damit die Benutzer den Inhalt lesen aber nicht ändern können.
    Die Betreffenden Felder werden per Autoindex bzw. per Stempel geändert und erhalten dafür nur die entsprechenden Rechte.

14. Stempeleingabe beim Wechsel auf nächstes Dokument beibehalten

    Wenn man bspw. mehrere Rechnungen zum Bezahlen in einer Aufgabenliste hat, die am selben Tag bezahlt worden sind, wäre es eine Arbeitserleichterung, wenn man nicht jedesmal das Bezahldatum eingeben muss, sondern vom vorherigen Dokument beibehalten wird.

15. Dokumentenspezifische Stempel in Abhängigkeit der Feldrechte. D.h. Stempel nur Sichtbar wenn Rechte für zu ändernde Felder bestehen.

    In Version 5.1c und früheren Versionen wurden nur Stempel angezeigt, für die man die nötigen Rechte besaß. D.h. es konnte über Archivprofile mit Indexfilter je Feld festgelegt werden, ob der Benutzer diese Felder ändern darf.
    Sobald ein Stempel Indexbegriffe ändern würde, wofür der Benutzer nicht die Rechte hat, dann wurde dieser Stempel nicht angezeigt.
    Dies wünsche ich mir wieder.
    Aktuell ist es so, dass alle Stempel sichtbar sind und erst eine Fehlermeldung kommt, wenn der Stempel gesetzt wird, dass der Benutzer nicht die erforderlichen Rechte hat. Und dies verwirrt den Benutzer und macht ihn unsicher, wann welcher Stempel zu setzen ist.

    Anwendungsfälle:
    - kleiner Dokumentenworkflow mit Abteilungen, Benutzern und einem Statusfeld. Wenn ein Benutzer für Dokumente keine Rechte hat diese zu sehen, so kann er die Rechte über ein anderes Feld und einen entsprechenden Indexfilter erhalten. Nun soll er das so erhaltene Dokument nicht anderen Benutzern schicken dürfen, die hier normalerweise auch keinen Zugriff haben, sondern er darf es nur über eine Statusänderung aber nicht über eine Benutzer oder Abteilungsänderung zurück an die ursprüngliche Abteilung weiterleiten. Damit Benutzer nicht überlegen müssen ob das Dokument eine Zugriffsbeschränkung hat oder nicht und welchen Stempel er demnach anwenden darf, sollten alle anderen Stempel, die er sowieso nicht anbringen darf auch nicht angezeigt werden.
    - Wir verteilen Dokumente zur Info (ohne Verantwortlichkeit) an mehrere Benutzer über eine Stichwortliste. Damit die Dokumente in der Aufgabenliste "Verteiler" nicht mehr angezeigt werden setzt der Benutzer einen Eintrag in eine weitere Stichwortliste mit dem "Gelesen" Stempel. Dies ist aber nur möglich, wenn der Benutzer im Verteiler stand. Demnach soll der Gelesen-Stempel auch nicht immer angezeigt werden.
    - Wenn ein Benutzer für ein Dokument verantwortlich ist (sein Name im entsprechenden Feld), dann kann er sich ein Wiedervorlagedatum per Stempel setzen um das Dokument in der Aufgabenliste danach zu sortieren. Der Stempel soll aber nur sichtbar sein, wenn der Benutzer wirklich verantwortlich ist.

16. Kompakte Darstellung aller Importjobs

    Die Liste der Importjobs ist sehr verschwenderisch mit Bildschirmplatz. Es sind nur wenige (ca. 5) Importjobs im sichtbaren Bereich. Für alle anderen muss man Scrollen. Eine kompaktere Liste erhöht die Übersichtlichkeit.

20. Allow attachments that are sent to outlook from web client to be copy/pasted into another active email thread without having to save locally

    In outlook, you can copy/paste attachments from 1 open email thread to another without saving locally first. When sending attachments to outlook via the web client, all other outlook windows are locked (disabled), forcing you to save the attachments locally before moving them to various other emails.

    Thank you for your idea. Right now we are focusing on other topics, so we are not considering this idea for future releases. If the demand for this topic increases, we might add it to future plans.

    If triggering a new mail from outside of Outlook there is no possibility to copy and paste attachments. Try this with the windows functionality of “Send to email” from the Windows Explorer.
