Audit log event - Export CSV from Results Dialog
Hi,
There's no audit log event in DocuWare when you export a CSV file from a results dialog. There are for opening, editing, emailing, downloading documents but not the metadata that links to them which might be GDPR related.

Voice support to search document or information
As most PCs are laptops and all of these have microphone for videoconference and a lot of people use earphone or similar allways for meeting, why do not use the voice to look for a document, a practice or to move on in a workflow?
With the introduction of A.I. in a DMS system it is no longer necessary to have structured data such as indexes. Then look for a document or go to the workflow steps just with the voice, it may be more efficient.2 votes -
Restyling User Interface
It would be nice to have a complete restyling of the User Interface to have a more enjoyable "look and feel" and a modern User Experience.
In addition to the colors and icons, e.g., also to have a way where the U.I. is "self-configuring" by the user: the user, based on rights, may add buttons or icons (such as Micorsoft environment in Business Central) also for external functionalities (e.g. Mail, ERP, Company applications). This to have Docuware as main interface to your work.1 vote -
Interface paginée de gestion d'utilisateurs / Groupes / Rôles
lorsque l'installation contient un nombre extrêmement important d'utilisateurs (supérieur à 40k), ainsi qu'un nombre très important de groupes et rôles, il est difficile de manager cette partie.

User synchronization account must be Organization Administrator
The account used in user synchronization must be Organization Administrator in order to automatically assign licenses to the created users.
It is not desirable to make a service account, whose password is stored in a decryptable way, always organization administrator.

Farsi Language support in OCR
Hello,
Because our clients in Georgia, Azerbaijan and Tajikistan deal with a great amount of Documents that are in Farsi Language. I suggest that you please consider including Farsi language support in docuware.Thank you in advance

Install Docuware on AWS (S3) Servers
Some customers are requesting install DocuWare on AWS (S3) Servers and currently is not supported.
We will appreciate if we can perform this kind of installations on a short or medium future.

Using an External MSSQL Server during Install
During install when using a database version not supported the error reported by the installer is that it can't connect to database. It leads to a troubleshooting that MSSQL has the correct username/password and certain features installed. When looking at the setup logs the error is being trapped that X version of MSSQL is supported. If the error being trapped in a log was displayed back in the installer would assist in troubleshooting and documentation during installs.

Variable
In the current date system variable on workflow, add the "time" because even if it is datetime the variable the time it is recorded is 00: 00: 00.00, to be able to use it in a field to keep control of the stamping dates of the activities, currently has to be done by other methods, when the simple thing is that they will also add the time to match what is stamped on the stamp

Forced Auto Uppercase For Storing Documents in DocuWare Cabinet
In DocuWare 6.8, we had the configuration to force all uppercase for users storing documents. This was very helpful as it prevented lowercase store documents and kept the cabinet(s) in uniform order with ensure they stored documents fields were store in uppercase. We are currently on 6.12 and do not have this option with this feature. Please kindly consider bringing this feature back.

Allow variables to be used in workflow names and descriptions
Allow variables from the assign data object in Workflow Manager to be used in Activity names and descriptions of other workflow objects such as tasks. If you have options such as approve or reject, it would be nice to know a "common name" for the Activity name.
Example Activity name currently is "Step 1: Approve payment". This doesn't say much when you have 20-100 tasks waiting and you need to address one specific Activity ASAP.
A better option is "Step 1: Approve Payment for <VARIABLE>
As an example currently the task will show

User notification for Docuware Administrator
Add a Request Support button to the WebClient GUI that a user can use to log a query that will notify the system defined Docuware Administrators - ie Request for Support, or Issue Report

Upgrades kill custom settings
Configuration files are often modified in a live system. But the modifications are lost when the system is upgraded.
I recommend updating the excellent upgrade guide FAQ #2594 to add reference to this issue. The issue is further described in FAQ #4134.
An additional argument could be made for a utility to run prior to upgrade that ran through the server folders and noted any ".settings" and ".config" files that had changed since the last upgrade. (Further option would be for the utility to rename them so the installer wouldn't delete them prior to the upgrade.)

Biometric login
Hello,
We have customers that for totally different reasons need the possibility of biometric login:
1) those whose staff is not prone to use user names and pws
2) those that want to go above the security level of a pw

In some cases hint text could help Docuware users to avoid fulfilling errors.

Master and detail mechanism for filecabinets
Today filecabinets only allow scalar fields for indexing documents.(Some exceptions as keyword fields, but that strategy does not comply)
It would be great to have the ability to have a master/detail concept. Allowing to store the information regarding the master document and its childs. INVOICEs are probably the best example, the filecabinet would allow to store data as PO number, total aumount, buyer info, etc (as it already does) and also in someway allow to store info about the ordered products info (SKU, unit, description, amount, etc).

We added it to our collection of ideas and features and will further investigate it. We currently cannot say exactly when this idea will be implemented. As soon as we have more information we will update its status.
