1. Make improvements to Email Notification

   Email Notifications are extremely limited in what they can do and how they are scheduled. They are also not easy to understand and/or test. I recommend the following improvements.
   1. Allow groups and roles to be assigned to a notification. The whole point of AD synchs with a group is to reduce administration tasks but without the ability to assign groups/roles to notifications, then the admin has to assign users separately OR open a notification job to all users, which is not ideal.
   2. Create an ability for a notification to change a field after execution. This will allow users to verify that an email was sent, and/or trigger follow up tasks/notifications. I.e. if a "Status" field is updated to "Email Sent" and the doc hasn't been changed in over a day (DWModifyDate field is >=Today(-1)) then a follow up email notification is triggered.
   3. Improve the scheduling options. Right now you have two options: Immediately notify which typically sends one email for every document instance (which can be over-whelming) OR reoccurring which will accumulate triggered events and then send them all at the scheduled time even if the trigger condition has since been cleared. It seems that for a reoccurring job, triggered events should not accumulate but rather a query should occur at the scheduled time. Therefore notifications would be current at that moment.
   4. Email the actual docs. Currently you can include a link to the doc(s) or to a Task List but not the actual doc(s). This excludes an email notification from being used to notify non-DocuWare users. If you wish to send customers their recent invoices on a daily, weekly or monthly cycle, you will need to provide them with access to your DocuWare system which creates a setup and licensing load on the administrator. It also requires the customer to go through the process of connecting and downloading their invoices which they probably do not want to do.

3. Mehrseitige Dokumentenansicht

   Es sollte möglich sein einzustellen wie viel Seiten nebeneinander dargestellt werden (z.B. Seite 1 und Seite 2 eines Dokumentes nebeneinander.
   Scrollt man mit dem Mausrad nach unten werden die nächsten Seiten des Dokuments angezeigt (Bildlauffunktion).

4. Löschen eines WebBaskets muss auch Löschen der Speicherort-Dateien beinhalten

   Aktuell findet das Löschen eines Webbriefkorbes nur in der Datenbank statt. Im Speicherort im Dateisystem bleibt der Ordner mit allen darin enthaltenen Dateien bestehen. Bei großen DocuWare-systemen mit vielen Usern und zahlreichen WebBaskets kann dies schnell zu einem "Vermüllen" des Systems führen.

5. Link documents manually

   Add a function to link manually two or more documents. We have a lot documents from different areas (Finance, Sales, Production etc.) but for the same product (movie trailer etc.). We want to search for the Trailer and want to see all documents about it.
   All the documents itself are indexed in docuware. Clipping is not a solution, because all the documents are indexed in the System.

6. IMPORT- / EXPORT der Docuware Konfiguration für TESTZWECKE bzw. MIGRATION

   Hallo liebes DocuWare Team und die Community,

   Da ich in diesem Moment wieder vor dieser Aufgabe stehe, dachte ich mir, ich poste mal meinen Vorschlag, welcher dem ein oder anderen DW-Admin das Leben erleichtern könnte.
   (Kurz vorweg: Wenn es bereits so eine Funktion gibt, dann klärt mich bitte auf, vielleicht habe ich auch Tomaten auf den Augen :D)

   Ich habe in der Vergangenheit (ich glaube bei DW6.1) eine DW-Konfiguration für einen Kunden vorbereitet habe (auf unseren Systemen in der Firma, da ich nicht die ganze Zeit im Kabuff des Kunden sitzen wollte um DW in einem ungemütlichen Ambiente zu konfigurieren. Ich stand jedoch vor dem Problem, die bestehende Konfiguration in das Hostsystem des Kunden zu migrieren. Ich habe bereits im alten Support Forum einen Beitrag diesbezüglich erstellt und um Hilfestellung aus der Community gebeten, da ich auch kein DW Konfigurationsprofi bin :D
   Daraufhin habe ich durch rumprobieren einen Workaround angefertigt, welcher meine Problemstellung löste. Diesen habe ich mal hier angefügt.

   Bei einem weiteren Projekt musste ich ein bestehendes DW-System für einen zweiten Standort klonen (die Anwender am zweiten Standort haben zunächst den Server des Hauptstandorts mitbenutzt und wollten u.a. aus Performance-/Verbindungs- und Verwaltungsgründen
   am eigenen Standort einen eigenen DW-Server haben, welcher exakt dieser Konfiguration entspricht.
   Mit Hilfe dieses Workarounds konnte ich so blitzschnell das Kundenprojekt umsetzen und musste nicht die Konfiguration bei 0 beginnen sondern musste lediglich Anpassungen z.B. am Benutzerstamm vornehmen.

   Wäre daher eine DW-Konfigurations-EXPORT Funktion (also Export der GESAMTEN DW-Konfiguration inkl. Archive etc.) und IMPORT-Funktion in ein neues DW-System nicht hier sinnvoll?
   Gerade im Hinblick wenn man wie in meinen Szenarien Migrationen oder Server-Klonung durchführen möchte, oder auch einfach nur um eine bestehende Realsystem-Konfiguration in einem Testsystem einzuspielen, welche man auch bedenkenlos zerschießen kann.

9. Mehrere E-Mails mit gleicher Indexierenung ablegen

   Es wäre großartig, wenn man mehrere E-Mails, die zum gleichen Thema gehören, markieren könnte und sich dann das Fenster zum Ablegen nur einmal öffnet!

10. One click copy

    While indexing, would like ability to click index field name and copy the information in the field. This would eliminate the need to double click and press "Ctrl+V," speeding copying of long transaction numbers, difficult-to-spell names, etc.

11. Emulate PCL Printing through Docuware Printer

12. Allow to search across cabinets with Smart Connect

    At the moment smart search is restricted to search in a single cabinet. Being the cabinet you select when you configure smart search. For us it would be great to press the Docuware button and to be able to search across multiple cabinets.

13. Weniger Beschränkungen im Umgang mit SQL-Queries: Views und nicht nur Where-Klausel

    Im WF-Manager in DW 6.7 habe ich zwar die Möglichkeit externe Daten abzufragen, bin aber auf TABLES und rein auf die WHERE-Klausel beschränkt.
    Wenn ich einen VIEW nutzen könnte, dann wäre das Problem schon gelöst, da ich ein case select brauchen würde.
    Das Thema mit der Where-Klausel könnte man im übrigen auch auf alle anderen Bereiche in Docuware ausweiten - nur die Where-Klausel nutzen zu können beschränkt einen sehr (bei den Auswahllisten kann ja noch ein Subselect machen) In diesem Fall will ich keine AWL sondern für einen zeitkritischen Prozess brauche ich automatisch gefüllt zu diesem Dokument ganz bestimmte Werte und Wenn-Dann Bedingungen um Werte zu verändern um damit dann neue Prozesse "sofort" starten zu lassen. AIX mit Polling ist da nicht schnell genug, bzw. bremst das System zu sehr.

14. Gesprächsnotizen in DocuWare ausfüllen und als zusätzliche Datei an ein Dokument anheften

    Es wäre wünschenswert, wenn es im Viewer (ähnlich, wie das Werkzeug "Textnotiz") ein Werkzeug geben würde, womit man eine Gesprächsnotiz auf einem separaten Blatt (evtl. auch selbst designbar?) in DocuWare erstellen kann und dieses an das bestehende Dokument geklammert wird. Wenn es viele Anmerkungen gibt, genügt der Platz auf einem Dokument ansonsten nicht aus.

15. Allow user to set additional preferences for DocuWare Viewer pop out window

    Would like to be able to have the DocuWare Viewer open in same window while indexing and in new window while searching. Currently, the only options are "Always show DocuWare Viewer in same window" and "Open DocuWare Viewer in a new window." These options should be expanded.

    While it is handy to view the document immediately next to the empty indexing fields, having the document appear next to search results is cumbersome. The crowded window means the user has to scroll left and right to check indexed information. Since the page resets its alignment when a user sorts a search by a particular indexing field, there is even more left/right scrolling that wastes time.

16. Kopieren der Indexierungsfelder beim Ablegen über connect-to-Outlook

    Beim Ablegen von Dokumenten über connect-to-Outlook kann man innerhalb der dort geöffneten Indexierungsfelder nicht mehr via Rechtsklick die Einträge kopieren, sondern nur über die Tastenkombinationen "STRG-C" und "STRG+V". In der alten Version ging dies noch.
    Evtl. kann man dies wieder einführen?

17. Ausgecheckte Dokumente verbergen

    Wichtig wäre es,dass von einem Benutzer ausgecheckte Dokumente von einem anderen User nicht gesehen werden, bzw. es eine solche Option gibt, dass andere User diese nicht sehen. Dies hat den Hintergrund, dass Mitarbeiter dann quasi doppelt eine Aufgabe innerhalb ihres Unternehmens bearbeiten. Denn sie sehen das Dokument. Also nicht die Arbeit im DW unbedingt, sondern auch andere Tätigkeiten, die mit dem Dokument im Zusammenhang stehen. Ja man kann erkennen wenn das Dokument ausgechekt ist, aber nur marginal und viele viele User erkennen das nicht, das links der Button ein wenig grau ist. Diese Möglichkeit bestand in einer der früheren Versionen ob Fat- oder Webclient. Laut Kunden geht es seit dem Update auf 6.7 nicht mehr. Damals war es wohl ohne Versionsmanagement möglich (auch aus- und einzuchecken). Ein weiteres Problem diesbezüglich ist, das Mitarbeiter sich auch diese Dokumente ausdrucken können, zwar nicht bearbeiten aber sie sehen das Dokument und können es ausdrucken. Dies müsste auch unterbunden werden.
