Allow Applications to be installed or updated with a service account
In situations where users do not have administrator access to their desktops it would be nice to be able to specify a service account that could be used to install applications or plugins. The new upgrade feature is great, but would not work if the users don't have admin access.

Hi Tobias,
Doesn't that make the new auto update feature useless for any user that doesn't have local admin access on their desktop? I am aware of the FAQ you referenced and I am currently going to use the silent install method when I upgrade my users to 6.5, but I think it would be useful to have the option for the user to install/update their own desktop applications. It would cut down on the number of helpdesk calls and also the user perception that Docuware isn't working like it is supposed to. As invalid as it may be, perception is reality to the end user.

You could install the Desktop Apps silently. There exists a FAQ article which explains how to do this: http://www.docuware.com/support_faq/?solution_id=3259
