More Information In AutoIndex Start/Stop Dialog
The choice for Iterated Records in an AutoIndex job is based on what is most expedient from a processing perspective. Though, when the Processed column provides a count of the iterated records, it is confusing. One wants to know the number of records updated in each data source, not the number of records in a file..
Either more information should be provided in the AutoIndex log or it should count the number of records that were actually updated in each data source. Merely a record count of the iterated records is not of much value. It caused enough confusion for me that I opened ticket #277238 until I realized why AutoIndex reported number of records found in the iterated data source.
