Add the ability to send Email Notifications to a Group/Role
Emails in the Workflow Designer can be sent to a role, however this is in the case of sending one email per document that goes through the workflow.
We use Email Notifications as a way to send one email out that lists multiple documents to ensure users are not receiving a mass number of emails. In this case, it would also be helpful to be able to send to a Group or Role from here.
We deal a lot with Accounting systems and where an Accounts team will have documents assigned to them for example, and they perhaps want to receive reminder emails to action their documents. If we want to send one email with a list of documents via Email Notifications to the Accounts Group/Role, we would need to assign each user individually to the Subscribers. This is not ideal for when users leave/join the Accounts Group/Role and therefore the Email Notification needing to be amended as well.
