  1. Add option for numeric field without commas

    Can an option be added when creating a numeric filed to choose whether or not to display commas to separate thousands? There are times that having a field that shows a year is useful and the commas are not commonly used when displaying this type of information.

  2. Radio button in Workflow Manager

    To improve the ease of use, radio buttons should be implemented in the Workflow Manager. We have such buttons, we can create for example “yes” and “no” in one decision, and the user can just click once instead of open a select list and search for the correct value

  3. Ability to Export List of Users from Administration

    Many of our customers have requested the ability to export the list of users from DocuWare (to CSV) with their assigned permissions (Roles, Groups, Profiles, File Cabinet profiles)

  4. Stop forcing alphabetical sorting of Select Lists.

    We can create Select Lists grouped and arraigned in the order that makes sense to the user. But DocuWare insists on resorting the list in alphabetical order. PLEASE STOP DOING THIS!

    Now we have to create Select Lists with numeric prefixes to force our sort order. Then the users have to memorize a complete list of prefixes, to allow rapid data entry. They should be able to just start typing the description and have it appear, but be able to pick from a sensibly ordered list if the they need help.

  5. Memo field in Workflow Manager

    At the moment you can add a comment with max. 255 characters. In some reasons this is not enough, and it would be great if also the memo field can be used in the Workflow Manager.

    by reminder or expiration date, send a single notification to a specific time and show all documents as a "task list", this because when working with many documents, is not friendly to receive many emails at once.

  7. Function to lock a fillable PDF in the workflow to prevent further modification

    The overall process surrounding the question is a PO Form, which I’ve created in DocuWare. That form triggers an Approval workflow. In the workflow I also add line totals, overall total and the name of the final approver onto the fillable PDF document. Once the document is approved, the workflow sends the PO to the supplier. The problem is that at this moment the order is still fillable… I need that document to be a non-fillable PDF… Problem is that I can’t create the non-fillable PDF with the form as I then can’t add the line totals etc. to the…

  9. Group elements in DocuWare Forms and an "add button" to dynamically "create" fields

    Imagine that Im a technician and require spare parts to fix something... I would need a document with some certain information which would repeat n number of times, i.e. Part Number, Description, Qty... there won't be a fixed number of fields that i have to fill each time I need spare parts.

    The group elements function would allow to wrap PartNumber, Description and Qty to be treated as one, so with the Add button you could add another group of those fields as on requirements

  10. Role list for Workflow Manager

    With DocuWare 6.6 we can select multiple roles in using the Workflow Manager. That's nice but we need a "role list" as we have it with the Substitution list.

    If we allow the user to choose a role for the next task, he can see all existing roles (!) also the "Default Organisation Role". You need to specify which roles the use can see for two important reasons.
    1. Depending on the workflow one user need only a couple of roles in the list and not all.
    2. The Roles are also used for the authorization management. And these roles…

  11. Create logging process for Predefined Workflows

    There is a need to allow logging so it can be documented that any of the predefined workflows, such as Auto-index Workflows, Deletion Workflow, Export Workflows, and Synchronization Workflows have processed when scheduled.

    This can be imported for multiple types of audits, disaster recovery, and business continuation.

  12. Allow Organizational Admin to Edit Network ID

    It's always been crazy to me the organizational admin user in DocuWare can not edit a Network ID of a user. You have to log into DW administration as the user to do it. That can be an enormous pain with systems with hundreds of users.

  13. File Cabinet Creation - Allow the order of fields to be carried over to all dialogs

    The most annoying part about setting up a file cabinet is sorting the fields in each of the dialogs. It would be nice if I could check a box that would take the sorting of the store dialog and transfer it to the Storage, Results List, and Info Dialog. This would knock off at least 10-20 minutes from every cabinet build.

  14. Task List: Assign a certain result list per task, per workflow, for workflow controllers.

    Result lists are useful. Having multiple result lists is a necessary feature which exists for good reason. However, all users of all task lists have the same result list configuration. Whichever result list is picked as "Default" is used for every task list system-wide.

    Example: Accounting users (especially workflow controllers) should be able to have different options available compared to approvers.

    This also goes for the "edit index entries" dialog of the result list. Even if an approver has (and needs) permissions to edit certain fields for workflow tasks, we do not want to present this as an option when…

  16. Improve Administration Tool

    Improve the administration tool. First by consolidating all of the different tools and utilities required to administrate Docuware. Create this new Administration tool to where you can do your administration in 1 spot and not in 3 spots on 1 utility and 1 spot on another. 1 location for 1 setting. Inhance the security setting, GROUP,ROLE,PROFILE. TOO MUCH.

  17. Automate workflow tasks

    Currently tasks require a user to make a decision on them. However there are cases where an external system or DB might be updated and having it sync in to a workflow task to move an item would save the user from having to do it manually. For example, an item is on the approval task list and a user approves the deal in another system that can update an index field in DW. That update causes the item to be approved and move to another task for a different user.

  18. Stamp Bitmap with Form Field

    Currently, if I define a stamp using a bitmap (a nice big angled "Rejected.jpg" image for example), I also want to require the user to specify a rejection reason.

    If I do not use a bitmap, I can specify fields. But if I use a bitmap I cannot. This by definition means that I cannot combine a bitmap with a prompt to specify a region.

    Please add the ability to use fields with bitmap stamps so that we can prompt users for additional data to go with the stamp.

  19. DW 6.10 Automatic Numbering - reuse number if cancelled. Allow alpha prefix.

    This new feature is great. Thank you, Docuware.

    Just couple of things: when the store dialog with AutoNumbering fieldi is envoked, and then the stor operation is cancelled, the number that appeared in the stor dialog is not reused any more - so there is a gap in numbers. Is this an intended behavior or can be it changed so if the store operation is cancelled, that number is still available for the next store.

    Since the field with Automatic Numbering is already a text field, would be nice to be allowed to prefix number portion of the field with some…
