  1. Add ability to point data exports to multiple file locations.

    We have multiple data exports running. It would be easier to manage if I could have the exports go to different folders to keep the reports separated by report type. It is currently limited to one folder.

  2. Allow scheduling for the User Synchronization app

    For on-premise, the AD synchronization can happen on a schedule. I would expect the desktop app for 7 Cloud to have the same capability, but sadly it doesn't. My customers now have to manually run the sync on a daily basis. They don't love that.

  3. Smart Connect

    Within Smart Connect I need to be able to use it with a Crystal Report Viewer in SAGE. The Invoice number is in a field called Posting Comments. If the user clicks on the field I need to be able to pull the invoice number between the :'s. The editor icon is grayed out. It looks like I should be able to do it!
    This is important because the Docuware Sales Pitch to Accounting showed several instances of searching by invoice number. The CFO made the decision to purchase based on that ability.

  4. Connect to Mail

    Connect to Mail is able to store only attached documents like a PDF invoice included into the corresponding e-mail. There is a problem with signature and images in relation with the e-mail because they are considered like attached documents too. Result is a document with several pages and the only needed is the Invoice PDF

  5. Allow for split on bar code value change

    Need to add the functionality to split on barcode change in value just like we have on text criteria.

  7. Allow Applications to be installed or updated with a service account

    In situations where users do not have administrator access to their desktops it would be nice to be able to specify a service account that could be used to install applications or plugins. The new upgrade feature is great, but would not work if the users don't have admin access.

  9. Make DW scanning faster. Each user could scan 1000 pages a day, not anymore.

    We use to scan 1000 pages a day with the thick client. Now with the new Web Client each user is lucky to scan 200 pages a day. Is there anyway to scan quicker? We feel like we have regressed instead of progressing. We do not like the DW Web Client.

    Hello,
    we are constantly working on a way to improve the performance of DocuWare Desktop and its scan possibilites. In the recent version and also in the upcoming version we also implemented additional functions to process much more than 200 pages a day.

    Just as a rough benchmark: Without using OCR, DocuWare is able to scan up to 100 pages a minute. Of course the performance is always dependent of each system and its settings.

  10. Allow to zoom larger size to look at document when looking at thumbnails

    Allow to make the thumbnail larger to see document when scan for example increase size to 100 to 150 etc.

  11. Filter on Importjobs

    With many importjobs it should give the abillity to sort or filter.
    f.e. filter all stopped Jobs, all with error etc.
    sort by Name of importconfiguration or importpath.

  13. Print Documents in FIFO Method

    Today when documents are printed with DocuWare Printer, there will be instances where a large document is printed first follow by some small documents. The small ones will make to the tray first before the large ones, even if the large one was printed first. If you are dealing with critical documents where the sequence is very important, the current printing method breaks the sequence.

    We want to be able to have an option in DocuWare printer where we can configure such method. The method FIFO (first-in/first-out). This way the ones that were printed first will get to the tray…

    Due to having the best performance, the documents are processed in parallel. After all documents are processed, the order in the basket will be the same as they were printed before. Even if a smaller document overtakes the bigger one during the process, the bigger one will be presented in the end in the document tray before the smaller one. This was done in version 6.7.   14. Tie the readout areas to the anchors in Import/Scan templates

    It appears that Anchors assigned to Readout Areas only determine the page that the Readout Area is on. I think it would be better if the Readout Area assigned to an Anchor moved with the Anchor. In this way changes in the size or placement of the document would not cause a loss of data due to the Readout area capturing the wrong area of a page.

  15. Allow Connect to Outlook to use folder names for indexing

    Add an option in Connect to Outlook that allows it to dynamically use the folder name in Outlook to populate an index field in the file cabinet.

  16. Allow Connect to Outlook to be configured to import from sub-folders

    Connect to Outlook should have the ability to also read from folders below the source folder identified in the configuration. For example, an attorney has a client folder with sub-folders below the top level client folder. The sub-folders contain the emails associated with the various matters that they are working on for the client.

  17. Add document identification to DWImport

    Please think about adding the identification option in Docuware Import.
    When printing documents, you have the ability to identify a document based on a bar code or text value and then assign it to a template to then determine what zone you will scrape data for indexing. In dwimport you do not have this so each template needs its own import job. We get around this by scanning or dropping electronic pdf's to the DWPrinter watch folder and then identifying the document based on the identification tab.   18. Choose which OCR Settings Template is used in an Import Configuration

    We can create new templates or modify existing templates for accuracy, speed, language, dot matrix, etc. I would like to be able to specify which template is used in a particular Import job, rather than assigning permissions to users. That way we are sure to get the best results possible regardless of other factors.
