I would like to request a change in the "Wait For Event" timeout configuration.

Justification:

We have encountered a product limitation during the transition from one event to another. In certain circumstances, an error can occur that delays the workflow by approximately two minutes when moving from one assignment box to the wait for event box.

Specifically, we have observed that in some instances, wait for event stucks waiting because the trigger workflow has already finished before wait for event event starts. The workflow that triggers the "Wait For Event" takes about 20 seconds to complete, and we cannot afford to delay it by 2 minutes such delays have led to complaints regarding process latency.

Proposal:

We propose adding the option to configure the "Wait For Event" timeout in minutes and hours, rather than being limited to days. This flexibility would allow us to more effectively manage situations where the trigger has not completed, and thereby reduce delays. Currently, the timeout is set to 1 day, which often results in documents being stuck for an excessively long period.
