    This is critical and is the main source of index entry errors within our system.

    To further this idea, I'd like the ability to turn on a "Lock" per user. This lock would keep the viewer and the index entry screen in sync (on the same document) at all times. It's all too easy to think you are editing index entries for the document in the viewer when you are not.

    Also, if this "Lock" was on and you made changes to index entries, then applied a stamp that saves/closes the document, it could save the stamp and index entries all together.

    Numerous applications of this... showing vendor names in the list, and then storing a vendor ID number - that way if the name changes slightly, you still have a good record by the ID.

    I am able to solve the problem above by autoindexing on save, but that is a clunky solution.

    Just had this issue, user created a data record and then couldn't store due because of our duplicate value settings. Voted.
