  1. Restore "*Required" Field Errors Back To Webforms

    Our DocuWare Cloud instance was recently upgraded to v.7. Since the upgrade, our webforms no longer display errors above the Submit button when *Required fields are incomplete.

    In v.7, the descriptive language regarding fields that are incomplete (e.g. "errors") do not appear on webforms. Rather, the "Submit" button remains greyed out and cannot be clicked until the errors are corrected.

    Sorry to say, without the helpful errors actually displaying on screen, our users cannot figure out why the Submit button won't light up. One of our webforms is very long and contains many *Required fields. The users simply cannot intuit…

  2. I suggest that you allow rearranging index fields on the "edit index field" screen.

    Currently, the list of index fields shown on the "edit index field" screen are in order of when they were created. It would be great to allow rearranging of the list so they are in a more user friendly order, and not just "this is how I added them into Docuware" order.

  3. FC Folders: Indicate which fields require a select list and which are free form

    When creating a folder view for a File Cabinet, there no indication which text fields are pulled from a closed select list and which accept any text input. This is annoying when you then try to create a new folder, only to find out when storing a file that the folder name does not match the select list.

  4. Make more options global

    This list of enhancements is not related to task lists only. Of course, this is the perspective of one user but I do believe some of these enhancements would make user and file cabinet administration much simpler.

  5. show open files without documents in Explorer - accommodating structured file plans

    At my institution we have a structure file plan/classification scheme that must be adhered to. Users like using the Explorer View to browse for their documents, and we've currently set it up so that the first folder layer is the file code, with the specific folders belonging to that category displaying "within" it. The issue is that open files with no electronic documents attached to them do not display to the user. We have a work-around by putting a temp file in each newly created folder. Please make these open folders with no documents in them visible!

  6. Allow users to create their own Custom Searches.

    Users should be able to create their own search lookup. That way they can customize their lookup and not have to manually enter search criteria or have the Admin create their own custom lookup. It would also be nice if the user had the ability to pin and rename favorite searches. I know there is similar option called Recent searches but it is not ideal and you can't rename them.

  7. french special characters

    Possibility to search an accentuated value with a non accentuated value in a form field and/or fulltext field.
    i.e : "eleve" can show values "élèves", "prélévement", "prélever"...
    conversely, accentuated word must not show non-accentuted values, for exemple "évén" must not show "revendeur", "prévenu" or "éventuellement" but is right for "événement".

  8. Move the scrollbar to the right so that I can select if when moving mouse to the edge of the screen

    Hello,

    In the search results, the scroll bar is just a few pixels from the edge of the screen. This means that when I move my mouse to the edge, the scroll bar isn't highlighted, so I can't select it move up and down. Please push or extend the scroll bar to the very edge so that the mouse pointer catches it. Thank you.

  9. Default the arrow and page up/down keys to page and document flipping in the write version

    In our read-only version, the arrow keys flip through pages. The page up/down keys flip through documents. However, in the write version, the focus in on the text box, so these keys don't flip through pages or documents. You have to change the focus by clicking on the document in the viewer to reset the keys to flipping. You must do this every time a new document is opened. I absolutely see the benefits of having the text box selected by default, but it would also be nice to flip through things with keyboard shortcuts by default. Thanks for listening.

  10. Rename the "Extraction" function

    For many users the term "Extraction" (in french) is not really eloquent.
    It seems be better to call this function "Révision du document" (in french too).
    it will be juste a corrective to apply in the dictionary.

  11. Copy the value of a field, from result list or index info dialog

    An index value stored first in DW, need to set in a third party application. When the value is a long reference, the best to prevent typing error is to copy the value from DW to third party.

    it can be available from Search result , copying the text, (in version 6.1 it was possible, no more in newer version) or from display info index particularlywhen index modification is not allowed by administrator on the field (tested and not possible from version 6.7 and above )

  12. Go directly to the page that contains that indexed value

    The ability to go directly to the page that contains that indexed value. For example, If I index a value on page #5 out of document that has 20 pages (a multi-page PDF) and when I search/retrieve for that value, it takes me directly to view page #5 without scrolling the pages. The idea is to click on an index value on the left pane, the document viewer on the right pane brings to page #5 without doing a full text search.

  13. Allow changing real file name during Copy To

    Currently, if I have a document that I might use as a template for a new document and I perform a "Copy To" operation, the base file name will remain the same. This makes it impossible to edit two resulting documents side by side in an editor such as Word or Excel because their base filename is identical.

    Either the file should be opened as the "File Name" index, or the option to change the file name during "Copy To" needs to allow the base file name to be specified.

    Currently, the cumbersome workaround is to download the document, rename…

  14. Keyboard Shortcut To Quick Copy Selection Directly To Default Tray

    In the case of sending invoice multiple invoices in a particular order to a third party for processing, the client needs to search for and select each invoice from the result. The number of clicks and losing track when doing a CTRL select across 100 item limitation the result list is time consuming. The desktop client had this feature.

  15. Split panes next to each other instead of one above other.

    Is it possible to have split panes next to each other instead of one above the other? With a separate viewer there is a better view of the webbaskets, entries, lists etc.

  16. Allow for reset of pre-indexed fields in Document Tray

    When using the autofill indexing to store multiple documents in the document tray to a file cabinet, using the "Reset" button does not clear all fields in the store dialog. Understanding that this may be by design, there should be an option to reset all fields or just the fields that don't apply to the pre-filled index fields.

  19. Change icon of unreadable document

    In the result list, when a document is unreadable (profil attribute of the user), having a "crossed" logo, informing the user AND preventing him to any try to open the document. Today (6.7 and more) an error message appear.
    In addition, is it possible to display the index (via Modify index menu) even if the document is not displayable. today it is not.

  20. ADD DIRECTED HELP! The old Docuware Full Client had help complicated things like FULL TEXT SEARCHES.....The

    ADD Directed HELP for the users as you have in the full client.
    One of the things that made Docuware such a great product was the fact that there was HELP on every page. Users could hit HELP and find out how to structure a FULLTEXT PHRASE search or sort but now help is so difficult to navigate that users just COMPLAIN!

    IF there is help it is also a great reminder to us on certain features as it is not everyday that I dop a search for 2 words in a phrase that are 3 words apart....I have to…
