ADD DIRECTED HELP! The old Docuware Full Client had help complicated things like FULL TEXT SEARCHES.....The
ADD Directed HELP for the users as you have in the full client.
One of the things that made Docuware such a great product was the fact that there was HELP on every page. Users could hit HELP and find out how to structure a FULLTEXT PHRASE search or sort but now help is so difficult to navigate that users just COMPLAIN!
IF there is help it is also a great reminder to us on certain features as it is not everyday that I dop a search for 2 words in a phrase that are 3 words apart....I have to look that I....TODAY I used the full client because it is FULL FEATURED the web clients LACKS MANY of these easy to use features that made Docuware easy to use.
I had a complaint today from a user today:
does not find results for “chief of staff”, but rather every single occurrence of “chief” and “staff” (ignoring the “of”). Again, way too many results. Adding “” or + does not help capture the phrase.
I thought I remember reading that 6.7 addressed searching phrases. That does not seem to be an option. Is there a technique we should try like adding “” or + or &20 (ascii space code), etc. for this to work?
As a comparison, below is how CMS’s Outlook Enterprise Vault prompts for either “any”, “phrase” or “all off” to achieve the results we need to achieve in DocuWare.
Thank you for your idea. We added it to our collection of ideas and features and will further investigate it. We currently cannot say exactly when this idea will be implemented. As soon as we have more information we will update its status.
