  1. Need able to categorize searches by file cabinet

    Most customers are used to the folder-hierarki structure on the pc, so if the file cabinet could be viewed like the attachment, I think many customer would like. And also then we will be a stronger competitor to DocuShare..

  2. Include time, not just date, when automatically populating email metadata

    The date is of limited value in an organization with lots of emails (almost everyone?). Search results can list many emails with the same date and subject, and half of them may have the same sender / receiver. To find the latest email, all must be opened and viewed. Any mail client will sort by time and be easier to use than DocuWare.

  3. Are able to automatically create baskets when a new user is synced from AD

    When using AD to sync users it would be really handy if you could choose to automatically create a Web Basket for these users.

    Currently you have to create all the users and then go and create the web baskets separately. This is ok when you are first configuring the system but later down the line it becomes an issue when the sync is on a schedule as you have no idea who does/doesn't have a basket.

  4. We need the ability to once again export File Cabinet settings into an XML file and then use it as a basis for creating new File Cabinets.

    We always been able to use an XML file from an older version of DocuWare to create cabinets in newer versions.

    We have clients with over 50 file cabinets, who need to move only a portion of their departments over at a time. So we can't do an in place upgrade, but need to migrate a File Cabinet at a time. By having to create each cabinet over again from scratch greatly increases the down time for our clients, but also opens the door for errors to be made.

  5. Be able to choose <Default Document Tray> when creating Pre-Indexing Printer Configuration

    When setting up a printer (for Pre-Indexing) to go to a user's Document Tray/Basket, each user needs to have their own configuration because you cannot choose default basket. You must choose the basket individually.

  8. Ability to disable Reassigning Tasks

    Please provide option to enable or disable reassigning tasks by the users. Even better, allow option to reassign to a role/group/user only or no-one. Currently, if someone mistakenly reassigns a task to someone else, that person inherits the person's privileges (stamps). i.e. an employee inherits a manager's approval stamp. This should be avoided.

    If in the Workflow Manager task is only on decision, this one should be automatic active. Because the user has no other way.

  10. Full keyword support in Workflow Manager

    It would be great if we could use the full keyword functionality with the Workflow Manager. That means, to use it as variable and also to store the entries of this variable to a keyword field.

  11. Multiple selection for select list in Workflow Manager

    In many cases user should be able to select more than one entry from a select list. For example multiple order numbers. These numbers will not be used for assignment, they just have to be stamped to the document. For use cases like this, we need to be able to select multiple entries in a normal select list.

  12. Allow Workflow to assign to user other than store user

    At the moment if a user stores a document into a Workflow there is no ability to configure that workflow to dynamically assign to another user. An example would be if a user scans in a time off request. I want the system to be able to pull the manager from an index entry and assign it to them.

  13. Ability to track user login to system/organization

    There is no easy way to track when a user accesses a DocuWare system. Having a option in a system\organization logging agent, or a new section to track user access to the system would be very helpful.

  14. Unable to copy File Cabinet Structure from one install to another.

    The reason for an end user to purchase DW from a reseller is to leverage the knowledge, experience & resources of said reseller. A major portion of those resources include knowing the best practices learned from other customer’s installations. When we as a reseller, develop those processes within a given market segment, it behooves us to share that knowledge with other customers with the same needs.

    So, let’s say for example, that this week I begin an install for a new customer, with a need for considerable customization of their DocuWare Installation. Because of our experience, we remember that we…

    In general the import of a file cabinet structure works also in between different versions. However, sometimes there are bigger changes, that make this process much more complex. In these rare cases we do not see any other chance than to be only import from a similar version.

  15. Import from subfolders should be possible

    Import configuration should include an option for importing from multiple levels (let's say up to 3 levels) subfolders of a folder with names of folder, parent folder and grandparent folder be available to use as index fields.

  16. Import module that reads metadata file sent with scan

    Need the ability to read a metadata file, csv or xml file, when scanning from mfp much like active import does.

  17. Add in a feature that allows you to export and import specific configuration settings.

    As a Docuware DSC it would be extremely helpful to be able to export and import settings and configurations such as Import configurations, predefined workflows, stamps, Docuware Printer configs, and web baskets.

    Countless hours have been wasted recreating these things for customers or waiting on access to a customer server. Adding this feature would eliminate that because we could import backup configurations and/or build them in house and then transfer them to the customers server via an import process.

    I understand that a lot of these setting are currently grabbed in a System Settings Backup, however, most of the time…

    Different companies has different working hours, in this moment is impossible customize this schedule for due date or recordatories.

  19. Labels for result list in version 6.5

    In previous versions of DocuWare result list configuration in the administration it was possible to edit the labels of the Result List fields. With 6.5 result list will show the default label for this field and this cannot be edited anymore. This means that you can edit labels for search and store dialogs but you cannot edit these for result list anymore.

  20. Allow to create custom scripts in the workflow designers

    It would be helpfull if in the workflow activity we had a special activity called "Script".
    We should be able to write a custom DLL and call this DLL in the workflow.

    This dll could be written in VB.NET or C#, have access to the GAPI.
    In this custom script, we should be able to :
    - Retrieve (and modify) data index from the document
    - Retirieve (and modify) data index from the workflow instance
    - Export data (eg : export XML readable by an accounting software)
    - Send emails
    - Dynamically populate user(s) for next activity
