AIX prompts for Admin password too many times
When you edit an AutoIndex workflow in version 7.0, you are prompted for the Admin password although you are logged in as Admin already. Why doesn't DocuWare remember that I am already logged in as Admin and don't prompt again. It's very annoying to having to provide credentials so many times if I'm editing multiple AIX workflows.

Allow us to sort forms by Name, Active, Target, Merge Form, Public Form, Created, and Modified
Allow us to sort forms by Name, Active, Target, Merge Form, Public Form, Created, and Modified
This would help in finding that one form I was working on earlier but forgot the name of.

Delete source documents in export workflows FC version management
Return the feature delete source documents in export workflows for file cabinets that use version management.
1 voteThank you for your contribution. Your idea is available with version 7.0.
The option is available, if the source and target file cabinet, both have version management enabled and the option “Transfer versions” is checked.

Create a separate database for Heavy Tray Use and General User Trays and File cabinets.
When building a busy Docuware system the users who add large nubers of documents to the system can cause deadlock on the database the tray is attached to. Separating the Trays to their own DB reduces the opportunity for this problem. Also, if a large system where a number of workflows are running, placing groups of related file cabinets in their own DB instead of the DWDATA DB can speed up access and reduce the issues with timing of the DB. In short in a larger system MORE Databases=Reliability
1 voteThank you for your contribution. This is already possible in DocuWare. You can create several database connection in the DocuWare Administration and use them for File Cabinets or document trays.

Give us a way to exclude form data in a workflow manager task from being included in the stamp set on the document.
Give us a way to exclude form data in a workflow manager task from being included in the stamp set on the document. These stamps become very crowded and cover up much of the image.

Allow external data DB connection
From 6.10 we are able to connect DocuWare to an external DB using Select list and Autoindex but not from Workflow. Could be very interesting also faster for the process if we can change data at the moment.
1 voteThank you for your idea.
Workflow Manager can already access external database connections, but only for reading data, see here: http://help.docuware.com/en/#b57860t61381n70941

Mandatory fields
Hello,
It could be nice if the mandatory fields could be also set in store dialogs box and not only in cabinet fields settings. This would be useful for manage several document type in same file cabinet.

Ability for Multiple Choice Field to Allow Not Mandatory
Currently, Multiple Choice Fields in DocuWare Forms are mandatory. It would be nice for this to have the ability to be mandatory or not, like every other field in DocuWare Forms.

More Wizards to tie overall Administration Together.
More Wizards to tie overall Administration Together.
For Example When setting up Select Lists. You have to Create a Select List, then you have to have a Location, then you have to assign the select list to a field in a cabinet, then you have to go to all the different dialogs that you want it to appear in. So I think we need more Wizards that bring the creation and administration of objects like this more together so that it is a Single Process. And not just for select lists. Docuware does these types of things all through the…
1 voteWe are improving this with every version. E.g. select lists can now created inside the DocuWare Configurations and inside the new File Cabinet Administration and should be much easier than before.

In Workflow Designer could you please make so you can move the Form Fields up or down
When creating Tasks, under decisions and the Forms Tab, there currently is no way to move the fields up or down to put them in a different order. This creates issues if later someone wants to add new fields but put them in a specific order you would have to delete them all and start fresh.

Docuware should be able to keep track of all documents deleted from the file cabinet and by whom
Documents deleted in the file cabinet should be archived in a repository
1 voteThis idea can be easily setup by an administrator. The procedure is the following:
1. Remove delete rights for all users exept the administrator
2. Add a stamp which sets the status field to e.g. “deleted”
3. Add a profile with index filter hiding documents with the status “deleted”The document is then never deleted, but unvisible for normal users. The stamp will contain username, date and time.
If you want to remove the document from the file cabinet, you could additionally do the following:
4. Create another file cabinet with the same structure
5. Use the Export-Workflow to move the document from the source file cabinet to the new file cabinet. -
Search option in docuware printer templates
I would be great to have the option to filter and search by name in the Docuware Printer Templates menu.
Thanks

Choice to install x86 or x64 Fulltext Server
DocuWare installs x86 Fulltext Server and has no option for x64. In support, we have seen cases come in that require x64 Fulltext due to number of documents being indexed and amount of RAM that can be allocated to x86 FT. It would be helpful if the option for x86 or x64 Fulltext was available, or to just make Fulltext use x64 only (that wouild restrict some installs though if they're 32bit OS')

Need able to categorize searches by file cabinet
Most customers are used to the folder-hierarki structure on the pc, so if the file cabinet could be viewed like the attachment, I think many customer would like. And also then we will be a stronger competitor to DocuShare..

We need the ability to once again export File Cabinet settings into an XML file and then use it as a basis for creating new File Cabinets.
We always been able to use an XML file from an older version of DocuWare to create cabinets in newer versions.
We have clients with over 50 file cabinets, who need to move only a portion of their departments over at a time. So we can't do an in place upgrade, but need to migrate a File Cabinet at a time. By having to create each cabinet over again from scratch greatly increases the down time for our clients, but also opens the door for errors to be made.
1 voteThis is possible though the Administration.

Be able to choose <Default Document Tray> when creating Pre-Indexing Printer Configuration
When setting up a printer (for Pre-Indexing) to go to a user's Document Tray/Basket, each user needs to have their own configuration because you cannot choose default basket. You must choose the basket individually.

If in the Workflow Manager task is only on decision, this one should be automatic active. Because the user has no other way.

Allow Workflow to assign to user other than store user
At the moment if a user stores a document into a Workflow there is no ability to configure that workflow to dynamically assign to another user. An example would be if a user scans in a time off request. I want the system to be able to pull the manager from an index entry and assign it to them.
