  1. Connect to Mail must not clip different PDFs attached to email

    1. If an email is sent with different PDFs attached is because the PDFs are different documents.
    2. If the PDFs are different documents they should be individually archived
    3. When C2Mail clips them all (with no other option) a lot of human effort is required in order to archive those PDFs separately.
    4. This functionality kills the effectiveness of automatic storage given by C2Mail.
    5. If nothing else, please provide a checkbox so that the user may decide by himself whether he wants the clipping or not.

  2. Add in a feature that allows you to export and import specific configuration settings.

    As a Docuware DSC it would be extremely helpful to be able to export and import settings and configurations such as Import configurations, predefined workflows, stamps, Docuware Printer configs, and web baskets.

    Countless hours have been wasted recreating these things for customers or waiting on access to a customer server. Adding this feature would eliminate that because we could import backup configurations and/or build them in house and then transfer them to the customers server via an import process.

  3. Include time, not just date, when automatically populating email metadata

    The date is of limited value in an organization with lots of emails (almost everyone?). Search results can list many emails with the same date and subject, and half of them may have the same sender / receiver. To find the latest email, all must be opened and viewed. Any mail client will sort by time and be easier to use than DocuWare.

  4. Add time settings to auto refresh option of lists

    Add the option to lists to refresh at certain intervals. Not having this option has a big speed impact and results in document selection jumps during refresh.

  5. Allow Adminstrator to over ride a lock out

    Rather than have the user be locked for X number of minutes, the administrator should be able to unlock a user, once the Admin has identified the user. As it stands now, a user can be locked out for up to 60 minutes and the Admin cannot do anything to remedy the situation.

  6. Change Password at Next Login

    It would be incredibly handy to have a feature similar to Windows where a DocuWare administrator could change a password for an end user, and then have that user prompted to change password at next login.

  7. Ability to track user login to system/organization

    There is no easy way to track when a user accesses a DocuWare system. Having a option in a system\organization logging agent, or a new section to track user access to the system would be very helpful.

  8. Unable to copy File Cabinet Structure from one install to another.

    The reason for an end user to purchase DW from a reseller is to leverage the knowledge, experience & resources of said reseller. A major portion of those resources include knowing the best practices learned from other customer’s installations. When we as a reseller, develop those processes within a given market segment, it behooves us to share that knowledge with other customers with the same needs.

    In general the import of a file cabinet structure works also in between different versions. However, sometimes there are bigger changes, that make this process much more complex. In these rare cases we do not see any other chance than to be only import from a similar version.

  10. Certified Digital Electronic Signature with Stamps

    We have moved to a digital age where for compliance, regulations, or demand we must be able to sign documents with “Certified Digital Electronic Signature”. Multiple countries are applying this technology to authenticate the authenticity of the document. Can this technology or process be implemented with a DocuWare stamp?

  13. Are able to automatically create baskets when a new user is synced from AD

    When using AD to sync users it would be really handy if you could choose to automatically create a Web Basket for these users.

    Currently you have to create all the users and then go and create the web baskets separately. This is ok when you are first configuring the system but later down the line it becomes an issue when the sync is on a schedule as you have no idea who does/doesn't have a basket.

  14. Need ability to record license activity history

    Would like to have a way to see license activity history.

    It is more like an audit trail report where for a specific period of time, I can view the licenses that were in use, with their respective length of time and usernames.

  15. allow searching on the document type field that DocuWare already captures and displays

    We love that wonderful icon that shows up on the left of result lists that indicates document type (ie. Word, PDF, Email, etc), but it would be great if there were a way to include that in a search dialog so if users want to filter to show only emails, for example, they can. I'm just telling them to sort the result list by doc type for now by clicking the column heading.

  16. Add the ability to modify Functions of the Document History Dialog or Inherit from Result

    We have a situation where we need to limit the options available in the right-click menu of the Document History dialog as you can do so with a Result View Dialog under the Functions section in the DW Administration (See Screenshot).

    Originally, we anticipated that the Document History dialog would inherit the permissions and options, including which hidden functions from the Result View dialog the user has rights to or used to view the document history of the record (See Screen Shot).

  17. Any chance that your login page could support a Federated Service option like ADFS?

    I'm curious if Docuware could be configured to allow a Federated Service login such as ADFS, so that we could support multiple external clients without having to create them internal AD accounts

  18. Simple Start up Template

    Going in to using Docuware with zero experience, I would suggest give new clients a simple start up template to fill out. They could list Main File Cabinets needed (in outline format) and with those (also in outline format) the index headings they would like. Having filled those out would give a clear view of HOW the system would be set up, and prior to actual set up of the Stores, changes could be made.   19. Allow edits to the web page

    Currently on the v 6.7 web page there are three options for login, Docuware Account, Active Directory and guest. We only have a single organization so we do not use that filed and the user leaves it blank. The Windows Account page will not be used from the outside. The Guest account is disabled, as we only use the Docuware account option. I would recommend the following options be enabled:
    1. If there is a single organization and that field will not be used, allow it to be disabled to avoid confusion on behalf of the end users.

  20. Copy an existing select list to a new list

    ...so that we do not have to create it from scratch. That way we could edit the copy for use in a different file cabinet.
