2 votesWith the Platform API available in Workflows since DocuWare version 7.9 you can get this information by the endpoint "GET /Organization/UserByID?userId={UserId}"

Authentication with SAML IDP
It is a need in these days for our customers that Docuware has a posibility to integrate and use SAML protocol for authentication and roles management.
It is a protocol very popular nowdays.

Add time settings to auto refresh option of lists
Add the option to lists to refresh at certain intervals. Not having this option has a big speed impact and results in document selection jumps during refresh.

Any chance that your login page could support a Federated Service option like ADFS?
I'm curious if Docuware could be configured to allow a Federated Service login such as ADFS, so that we could support multiple external clients without having to create them internal AD accounts

Copy an existing select list to a new list
...so that we do not have to create it from scratch. That way we could edit the copy for use in a different file cabinet.

Delete source documents in export workflows FC version management
Return the feature delete source documents in export workflows for file cabinets that use version management.

Allow Filter by External Data Source to be for empty and non-empty fields.
It would be nice to be able to tell autoindex workflow to ignore all entries where a field is blank when interacting with an external data source.

Need ability to record license activity history
Would like to have a way to see license activity history.
It is more like an audit trail report where for a specific period of time, I can view the licenses that were in use, with their respective length of time and usernames.

With the new auditing functionality it is possible to log all logins and logoffs from users so you can create your own reports. -
Simple Start up Template
Going in to using Docuware with zero experience, I would suggest give new clients a simple start up template to fill out. They could list Main File Cabinets needed (in outline format) and with those (also in outline format) the index headings they would like. Having filled those out would give a clear view of HOW the system would be set up, and prior to actual set up of the Stores, changes could be made. Import users in bulk to DocuWare cloud system
Very important for CUSTOMERS to be able to import large numbers of users directly to the cloud system.

Connect to Mail must not clip different PDFs attached to email
- If an email is sent with different PDFs attached is because the PDFs are different documents.
- If the PDFs are different documents they should be individually archived
- When C2Mail clips them all (with no other option) a lot of human effort is required in order to archive those PDFs separately.
- This functionality kills the effectiveness of automatic storage given by C2Mail.
- If nothing else, please provide a checkbox so that the user may decide by himself whether he wants the clipping or not.

Create a separate database for Heavy Tray Use and General User Trays and File cabinets.
When building a busy Docuware system the users who add large nubers of documents to the system can cause deadlock on the database the tray is attached to. Separating the Trays to their own DB reduces the opportunity for this problem. Also, if a large system where a number of workflows are running, placing groups of related file cabinets in their own DB instead of the DWDATA DB can speed up access and reduce the issues with timing of the DB. In short in a larger system MORE Databases=Reliability

Scroll to the bottom when configuring multi column select lists
When configuring especially the multi column select lists in Web Client Configurations, the interface opens various parts like "show filters" below the bottom of the screen and the user always has to remember to scroll down to actually complete the configuration. It would be much better if the interface would always scroll down automatically to reveal the just opened parts.

allow searching on the document type field that DocuWare already captures and displays
We love that wonderful icon that shows up on the left of result lists that indicates document type (ie. Word, PDF, Email, etc), but it would be great if there were a way to include that in a search dialog so if users want to filter to show only emails, for example, they can. I'm just telling them to sort the result list by doc type for now by clicking the column heading.

Certified Digital Electronic Signature with Stamps
We have moved to a digital age where for compliance, regulations, or demand we must be able to sign documents with “Certified Digital Electronic Signature”. Multiple countries are applying this technology to authenticate the authenticity of the document. Can this technology or process be implemented with a DocuWare stamp?

Allow Adminstrator to over ride a lock out
Rather than have the user be locked for X number of minutes, the administrator should be able to unlock a user, once the Admin has identified the user. As it stands now, a user can be locked out for up to 60 minutes and the Admin cannot do anything to remedy the situation.
27 votesWithin the DocuWare Administration, it is possible to unlock a user, but it is very hard to find.
Select the user in the DocuWare Administration and open the context menu. If the user is locked, the context menu contains an entry “Unlock”.

Mandatory fields
Hello,
It could be nice if the mandatory fields could be also set in store dialogs box and not only in cabinet fields settings.This would be useful for manage several document type in same file cabinet.

Allow edits to the web page
Currently on the v 6.7 web page there are three options for login, Docuware Account, Active Directory and guest. We only have a single organization so we do not use that filed and the user leaves it blank. The Windows Account page will not be used from the outside. The Guest account is disabled, as we only use the Docuware account option. I would recommend the following options be enabled:
1. If there is a single organization and that field will not be used, allow it to be disabled to avoid confusion on behalf of the end users.
