  1. Improved Activation Rules

    The rules for automatic activation of a workflow should allow the adminsitrator to be more specific. Now you can only have AND operators.

    The rule configuration for permissions is perfect, and would love to see more systemwide adoption of it.

    It allows you to be as simple or specific as needed.

  2. Parrallel conditions

    Amount of activity outputs depends on number of conditions.
    If condition A is fulfilled a certain route is taken etc etc.

    For example. If 10 Document Types needs different actions it would promote efficiency. One does not have to do 10 different condition activities nor do you have to build 10 different workflows.

  3. Email Notification Link via Workflow

    Currently Workflow Designer does not allow you to generate the link name from variables with in DW only so the only option is to hardcode it.

    It would be nice to be able to use the filename and a date as the link in the email being received by end users. It gives more meaning that hard coding the word document and then followed by variables

  4. WF Steps as templates

    Once I've created a WF step, ex., Task or Assign to, etc., I'd like to copy it and use it as a template for use in later steps in the overall WF. Please add this feature.

  5. Workflow Designer : please improve the font selection dialog of the stamps.

    We are having trouble with stamping characters out of frame when using an unsupported font from the font selection dialog in the task's stamp settings.
    This is because the font selection dialog in DocuWare’s workflow designer (especially when configuring stamps in tasks) seems to displays all fonts installed on your operating system.
    We hope you can improve this function by either changing the list of fonts so that only supported fonts can be chosen, or by increasing the types of fonts supported.

  6. Enable selection of dialog fields for pre-filling table columns with remaining amount in Workflow Designer

    Currently, in Workflow Designer, it is possible to pre-fill columns in a dialog table with the remaining amount by referencing a system or index field that holds the total amount. However, it is not possible to use a dialog field for this purpose.
    To improve flexibility and usability — especially for scenarios like account assignment in an incoming invoice workflow — it should be possible to select a dialog field as the source for the total amount. This would allow the remaining amount to be dynamically calculated based on user input at that specific workflow step.

  7. Automatic clipping

    Automatic clipping of documents based on a common predefined index field to avoid users having to manually clip documents together because of indexing the documents; usually documents are stored separately and would appreciate if the system can auto clip based on a criteria defined in the designer or auto index configuration.

  8. We need to have a counter in the workflow designer to enable creation of loops in the workflow based on number of iterations.

    We need to have a counter in the workflow designer as an activity to enable creation of loops in the workflow based on number of iterations. The counter can be used in conjunction with workflow conditions to create loops and termination of loops.

  9. Field Numbering in DocuWare Workflow Designer

    Add numbering to the fields in Workflow Designer "Assign Data" steps. If I have 200 fields and I get an error on my workflow on one of them, say field 100, I need to count all fields manually to get to line 100 instead of looking at the line numbers on the side.

  10. Allow Sorting when pulling data to tablefield

    When pulling rows into a table field using the adopt all rows in a fixed order, you should be able to set an order using an order by clause in the sql statement. Examples includes po lines items where you should be able to pull in the details order by the po line number.

  11. Ability to use Roles instead of hard-coded user names in workflow designer's tasks validation

    In workflow task validation (data input validation condition) use of Roles should be added currently (V7.5) only hard-coded user names can be specified so if the user needs to be removed or added (because employees change), it creates a new version of workflow and that causes issue because the change is only effective for new documents and not effective for the existing ones.

  12. Using html email including global variable from a technical filecabinet to be able to manage a preconfigured solution

    We need to store in a memo the HTML body of an email designed for a customer in a technical filecabinet to be able to easily deploy a preconfigured solution without the need to edit a workflow.
    This Memo field will include global variable like this one [DWDOCUMENTTYPE].

  13. assign a form field as a global variable

    I want to assign a form field that is not indexed as a global variable in Workflow Designer. I can't do that unless it is an index entry.

    These fields on the form need to be changeable, but do not need to be indexed.

  14. Separate the Workflow designer from the activities that are covered by the workflow.

    When there a high number of active instances, the Workflow Designer times out without loading the details in the bottom of the screen and we cannot access the workflow itself.

  15. Stamp the document as an automatic activity

    This would be awesome. Many workflows and approval processes are automated and auto-approved if for example 1+1 = 2. However theres no way to see any indicator of this process on the document itself. If we could place a stamp on the document as an activity (not user task), this would be very helpful.

  16. On Change Event

    I suggest adding an "on change" event to dialogs in the workflow designer.

    We have a workflow where users need to match credit card statement line items to invoices/receipts. When the user selects an invoice vendor and invoice number, I want to show more detail about the invoice in real time so the user can be sure they selected the correct one.

    For example, the user selects vendor "Microsoft" from the first input box, and they select invoice number "1234" from the second input box (which has been filtered based on the selection of "Microsoft" above). When that second input…

  17. stamps

    Add option to display first and last name to stamp. Some of our usernames are generic for example Warehouseclerk01. Yet the First and last Name are assigned to a person Jon Doe. This would be nice to show on the stamp instead of user name.

  18. (Workflow designer) Wants to get the numeric column of a table field as an entry in Data assignment.

    We want to assign the table field index data to a global variable. Currently we can get the text type of the Table field as expected, but the number type does not appear as a candidate for entry.

    We have to get the number type value of Table field as well.

  19. Workflow Validation Error message customizable

    When creating a validation within a task in the Workflow Designer, one can only write a fixed error message. It would be way more user-friendly if this message was customizable just the same way as workflow fields are, e.g. a description field.
    This would allow inclusion of global variables and index data in the error message, providing great flexibility and a way to point the user to their error more specifically.
