  1. I suggest improve the security

    It could be a good idea improve the security access to web client adding a kind of captcha to avoid the brute force attack.

  2. Allow More Granular Export Permissions

    Allow Administrators to limit the options in exporting documents from a cabinet such as only allowing Printing of Document with Annotation or Downloading a document with Annotation.

    Some files are stamped for validation purposes and made Available to users. This is to avoid Using the document for other purposes other than what it is intended for.

    Allowing them to download without the stamps pose a risk of them using the document for other purposes.

  3. make annotations private so only the creator can modify or delete it

    all the users that acces to a document can modify all annotations, it will be better to make possible to force only the creator to modify or delete his annotations

  4. Revise QA Stamp

    Reposition the word "By" on the QA stamp. The stamp would then read "Username, date/time, QA'd by user initials"

  5. Add search criteria and SQL statements to search dialogs and/or result lists (similar to task lists)

    Some of our clients have changed their company names over time.
    When this happens, a new CustomerNumber is given in our database to them. It is required very often to search all the documents from one customer, including those indexed with the previous names (linked now by the Original Customer Number only).

    Users should find all of the required documents by typing the current or any Company name the customer has had.

    This could be done by doing 2 things:
    1. adding somewhere the SQL statements capability and
    2. allowing those statements to take the values from the search dialog…

  6. Make "Public an Idea" button/forum more visible/accesible

    For dw administrators at least...
    I remember they taught me there was some place where I can suggest things to be developed into features. When ideas came up, it took me quite some time to find it (until someone told me where it was)

  7. Need importConfiguration on email attachments

    We really nedd option to use the same importconfiguration on email attachments, because some customers receive the same document via email and via mail

    See attachment, its not possible to just store the email, without the attachment

  9. CDN with Fallback to Local Script Repository

    Starting with DW 6.6 Hotfix 8 DocuWare the Web.Settings flag "UseLocalCDN" has been set to "false". Quote: "For better performance you should disable this flag. If the flag is disabled, the fat JavaScript libraries are downloaded from Google CDN orother CDNs." There should be a fallback option just in case external CDN are blocked or unavailable.

  10. Use of SQL statements in SmartConnect, Printer and Import

    In the same way use of SQL statement option is available for C2O configuration, it should be made available in indexing for Import, Printer and SmartConnect

  11. Index filter hierarchy rights Project > Document

    We need project or folder hierarchy rights management.

    If user is added to index field on 'project' document that user
    should have rights to project documents linked to this 'project' document.

    This can be configured with free sql statement on index filter rights but requires join statements which are put in where clause so there is a big performance penalty.

  12. allow for the global setting for all users to open Docuware Viewer with index dialog in a new window by default

    The reason for this is that right now, if we utilize the default setting "Always show DocuWare Viewer in same window", it is possible for a user to have several items in the queue, and viewing one item (by double clicking on it) but actually editing index values for something completely different on the screen. This could result in errors. Many errors.

    If one utilizes the setting to open the viewer with index dialog in a new window, the document rendered for view always is tied to the index values that you see.
