Allow tables in workflow tasks to be read-only
Currently, it's possible to show a table to a user within a task dialog (e.g. cost center table on an invoice, presented in a task for an approver).
However, there's no way to have that table be read-only. The task user has the ability to edit the table.
There should be a read-only option for a table field in the task dialog.
4 votesStarting with DocuWare Version 7.10 index tables can be set to read-only.

add Docuwares fields to the CSV file.
Currently the EXPORT to CSV File will export the USER Data but not the Docuware data. This data (DOCID,SDATE,STIME etc) Is critical in getting a solid audit of the system. The system reports issues based on DOCID but we have no way of dumping a report to match it.
In conversion If 1 system is off by a document after conversion finding the record without the ID is VERY difficult.

Microsoft Office plugin
When saving a document created in MS Office, we can directly save to a Docuware Tray/Cabinet. Users who are restricted to save locally would benefit from this feature.

Easier Hotfix Installation
With the introduction of DW 7, the new way to install a hotfix is to basically reinstall the entire DocuWare environment with a fancy setup. Sadly, this takes a long time (compared to just replacing the neccessary files as before). Hotfix installation now takes the same amount of time like an Upgrade to a newer version.
Worst thing: Every hotfix installation for Fulltext Server now breaks On-Premise Intelligent Indexing which needs to be fixed manually after the installation. Can we please get a way which does not break more things than it fixes?4 votes -
Select Lists in Configurations
In the select lists section of the configurations page you are told what cabinet and dialog a list is used in.
What this page does not tell you though is that a list you have may be used as part of a Docuware Forms Document. This leaves open the chance that a list is marked as 'not used' when in fact it is used for a field in a Docuware Form and if you delete that list you are then nullifying that field within Docuware Forms.
This is problematic as you may have used the list in a number of…

Introduce a way to incorporate system data into an index field so that it appears in the column view
Our customers are regularly asking for a way of being able to see system field data in the column view in both the Document Tray and for stored documents.

Email Invoices Directly to Vendors for Inquires
It would be nice to have a way to load vendor email addresses in DocuWare so when we email an invoice directly from DocuWare the vendor email address will populate.
4 votesThank you for your contribution. This sounds like a configuration issue. You should be able to add email addresses into DocuWare and send the invoice automatically.

Request for changes on linked lists
We would like to make an evolution request that would allow for greater comfort in entering storage forms by automatically filling in a field with a list linked to another field and offering a single value.
4 votesThank you for your idea!
With upcoming version 7.6, the forms module will support "Multi Column Select Lists". This means:
- Assign multi-column-select-lists to dropdowns
- configure filters between dropdowns
- autofill a dropdown in case filtering leads to only one remaining value
Please let us know if you have further ideas or wishes.

Add a URL Type to Form
Ability to add a link to something else even another form. For Example:
Choosing a client form a select list drop down but that client doesn't exist. click the link to add a new client pops up a form to add the new client which then populates the DB select list I am pulling from4 votesThank you for your contribution. Your idea is already available in the product.

close all open searches
I would like to see a way to close all open searches for a user. Have seen several times that users have 100+ search windows open in DocuWare and the web client then becomes very sluggish. Currently the only way to close them is to go thought one at a time, very tedious. A way to clear "cache" in DocuWare web client would be a welcome addition to my company.

Maintain zoom and rotation in Web viewer.
In the thick client if zoom or rotation is set on a document, the viewer maintains the same zoom or rotation for next document opened in viewer. This is very helpful when processing multiple documents. In the web viewer this is not the case. It defaults back to a zoom level that is too large for the viewer and rotation is always reverted back to default.

Add a true purge option (retention policy) on filing cabinet level
Most of our clients have a retention policy on records. I suggest at the file cabinet level, an ability to set a full purge policy based off of a unique or fixed date field (such as store date).
This way we can simply state that we can set a retention policy on the file cabinet that purges after "x" amount of years.4 votesIf I understand this correct, than this is already possible since several versions. You need to set up a deletion workflow in the DocuWare Administration. There you can define a filter which documents should be deleted.

In task lists prevent the result view of the list from jumping around every time it refreshes.
Currently in 6.5 when you are scrolling down a task list that has multiple pages of documents the list jumps back to the last highlighted row every time the list refreshes. This is frustrating when you are trying to find a document at the bottom of a list because the view keeps jumping to the top as you scroll down.
Our users would like the list not to jump around as it refreshes.

Only Show Received Requests Tab When There Are Tasks
Since 7.9, the 'Receive requests" tab shows up even if there are no tasks in it. This is annoying when everyone is trying to keep their Tasks clear.
3 votesThank you for your contribution. Your idea is available with version 7.10 and the latest Minor Update of 7.9. The "Received Requests" tab will only be visible if there is at least 1 request.

saml
Clients are requesting authentication via alternative methods, e.g. SAML2 and OKTA. Without this DocuWare is not a viable solution for them. Is there an expected timeframe for implementing this?
3 votesThank you for your contribution. Generic OpenID Connect integration for usage with e.g. Okta is available with version 7.8.

Field Behavior function in Forms need ability to autofill fields based on entries in other fields
If a field behavior is true then auto fill other fields on form with fixed text.
For example in an I-9 Form if you choose "U.S. Passport" in the document title field then the Issuing Authority field need to auto populate with "U.S. Department of State"

toggle mandatory fields
similar to many web forms today, it would be great if you could enable/disable mandatory fields based on the selection of a prior field. Lets say I have a document type select list with "Invoice - A" and "Invoice - B" as options. if you choose A, these 2 fields now show as mandatory, but if you show B, these 3 fields now show as mandatory.

Add ability to search and display system indexes
Add ability to search and display system indexes in the result set, including the doc ID. This would be a useful troubleshooting tool.

Make Drag and Drop Email Attachments to Document Tray a Supported Action
Many users like to drag and drop attachments from Outlook to a Document Tray. Most of the time this works fine but some users get an Unsupported Drag & Drop error. Turns out that while this might work, it's not a supported functionality. I'd like to see this common action become supported as a system function.
3 votesThank you for your contribution. This is possible with Microsoft Edge, so it is not a DocuWare limitation.
