Please post all ideas that concern the configuration of DocuWare in this forum (i.e. DocuWare Administration, Workflow Designer, Desktop Apps).

Connect to Mail must not clip different PDFs attached to email
- If an email is sent with different PDFs attached is because the PDFs are different documents.
- If the PDFs are different documents they should be individually archived
- When C2Mail clips them all (with no other option) a lot of human effort is required in order to archive those PDFs separately.
- This functionality kills the effectiveness of automatic storage given by C2Mail.
- If nothing else, please provide a checkbox so that the user may decide by himself whether he wants the clipping or not.

new field
In 6.12, when you create a new field, il is automatically add in every dialog box.
We need the choice to add it or not like in old admin or we lost a lot of time when we configure DocuWare.7 votesThank you for your contribution.

New fields are only added to the standard dialogs. All the custom dialogs will not display the new field. -
Workflow Designer -> Assign Data -> Allow List Variables to be assigned more than once
There are two ways I have found to assign list variables:
1. from database query which returns multiple rows
2. from multiple assignment statements without the "replace" box ticked.If 1. is not available, the only way to accomplish is to have a series of Assign Data activities, one per item in the list, since the List Variable is no longer available from the choices of variables to assign data, once it is used the first time.
Creating a loop is also possible, and so far this is the best way I've found, along with using some <ugly> nested VBA…

Workflow Designer -> Assign Data -> Allow Reordering assignment statements
Because of scenarios like a changing workflow definition or project scope, or simply thinking of a new approach to a workflow can disrupt assignment dependencies. Once that happens, then delete all of the subsequent dependent assignments.
It's basically not being able to insert a line in your code. Just delete everything that follows the insertion point, then do the work over again.
Ability to Reorder assignment statements within an Assign Data task can fix this.

Import users in bulk to DocuWare cloud system
Very important for CUSTOMERS to be able to import large numbers of users directly to the cloud system.

Add File connections and Local Data Connector connections to Workflow Engine (External Data)
These ARE available in the on premise version and NOT in the cloud version. How are we to lookup cost centers and approver? Customers cannot maintain gigantic substitution rules they NEED data connections.

DW Forms dynamic sections
With multiples sections defined in the form, ability to show/hide sections by clicking the title or depending of previous choices.
Example : form question is "are you single or married", if user choice is married the section "husband details" with name/surname/date of birth/nationality questions is shown overwise it is hidden9 votesThank you for your contribution.

Allow entry of multiple field into a Keyword or User LIST global variable
Currently adding a GET DATA lookup you can only add 1 entry to either a KEYWORD or USER LIST global variable.
Example: USER LIST VARIABLE (APPROVERS) should be populated with two index fields (Field1, Field2)
The only way of accomplishing this is creating 2 different GET DATA tasks

Simple Start up Template
Going in to using Docuware with zero experience, I would suggest give new clients a simple start up template to fill out. They could list Main File Cabinets needed (in outline format) and with those (also in outline format) the index headings they would like. Having filled those out would give a clear view of HOW the system would be set up, and prior to actual set up of the Stores, changes could be made. Add possibility to exclude pictures in mail
It would be helpful if there was a possibility, in connect to mail, to exclude images in the corpse on the email, like signature images, that are automatically stored attached to the mail

Sub-Table Column
Add a Table-Field where you could fill in accounting relevant data eg. a costcentre column, amount column etc.
This field should work like the keyword column only with more (definable) subcolumns.

Multi Column Select List in Workflow Manager
The new Multi Column Select Lists in 6.9 are nice. However you can not use them in the Workflow Manager. This should be available within workflow manager.

Certified Digital Electronic Signature with Stamps
We have moved to a digital age where for compliance, regulations, or demand we must be able to sign documents with “Certified Digital Electronic Signature”. Multiple countries are applying this technology to authenticate the authenticity of the document. Can this technology or process be implemented with a DocuWare stamp?

Rename an already used global variable within a workflow
When you are using a complex workflow you sometimes realize that the given name to a global variable is not appropriate
It is a REAL PAIN to delete this variable in every task or create a new variable and replace the old one everywhere.So I suggest to add the ability to modify the name of a variable, even if it is already used within the workflow

Stamps and annotations in notifications Workflow Manager
It would be an interesting idea to add the possibility to send documents with stamps and annotations attached in a task using email notifications.

Change Password at Next Login
It would be incredibly handy to have a feature similar to Windows where a DocuWare administrator could change a password for an end user, and then have that user prompted to change password at next login.

Allow edits to the web page
Currently on the v 6.7 web page there are three options for login, Docuware Account, Active Directory and guest. We only have a single organization so we do not use that filed and the user leaves it blank. The Windows Account page will not be used from the outside. The Guest account is disabled, as we only use the Docuware account option. I would recommend the following options be enabled:
1. If there is a single organization and that field will not be used, allow it to be disabled to avoid confusion on behalf of the end users.

Allow to complete a form once filled by a costumer
DW introduce forms in 6.8. After following the webinar I had a suggestion. In 6.8 the form will be saved as PDF after it is filled in. Now, what I want is this e.g. after a costumer filled a form and send it to our company we must be able to complete the form by filling additional information. If you get this now as PDF you can not complete this. Another additional feature would be great. Once the costumer send a filled form, the department must received a e-mail notification of an incoming form saved in DocuWare.
