Automatically adding fields to ALL dialogs
"By product redesign now a field is available in all dialogs" - DW support
Forcibly, by the way. I have customers that have 15+ dialogs, lists, etc - and every time I add a field, I have to remove this new field from every single dialog my new field doesn't pertain to.
Can we please bring back the functionality of choosing which dialogs a new field should belong to? Thank you
Thank you for your contribution.
Your idea is available with version 7.
New fields are only added to the standard dialogs. All the custom dialogs will not display the new field.

This isn't really completed. You don't get to choose which fields your new field is visible in. Instead of having to remove a new field from all your dialogs it's not part of, now you have to add it manually to those it is a part of.

I have a customer with 15 search dialogs; 13 Store dialogs; 15 Results dialogs; and a whopping
150 Lists with a Store and result list to update.343 places to remove EVERY new field on this system today.

Man I developed software for decades and this is the dumbest bug I have ever seen. The old feature is working fine and why can’t we use the old admin tool to add the field.

We have the same problem. Every time we create a new field, we are forced to remove this new field from all the dialogs it is not related to.

Hi Tony,
I have the exact same problem! I did highlight this on the DocuWare Forums.
It's taking me 10x longer to configure dialogs due to this issue. Hopefully they implement a tick box going forward!
