Add option for numeric field without commas
Can an option be added when creating a numeric filed to choose whether or not to display commas to separate thousands? There are times that having a field that shows a year is useful and the commas are not commonly used when displaying this type of information.
Thank you for your idea.
We added it to our collection of ideas and features and will further investigate it. We currently cannot say exactly when this idea will be implemented. As soon as we have more information we will update its status.

It would also be nice we could just apply format expressions to all field types. like an "advanced option."

This becomes more critical as now I have a customer that wants to do a range search where EmployeeID is between 100000 - 199999 but because we are using a text field workaround to avoid the separator a range search like this is not possible.

One more time, please.

This really needs to be addressed. There are so many integer values in the world that absolutely DO NOT and MUST NOT have separators in them. Invoice Numbers, Transaction ID's, etc. Having to use a text field as a workaround is not ideal and in a number of cases is not desirable.

Agreed. Our Bylaw numbers do not have commas in them, and it's confusing the user immensely having them in there.

Sorry about the typo, it should read Allow removal of comma separators, not command.

Many clients use employee or student ID numbers that make a good match code option for auto index. Because of that the field needs to be numeric in DW to match the field in the external database. We do not need or want the command separators or range search capability however. We need it to act like a text field from that standpoint.

Yes Mr. Brian you are right there should be an option to remove the comma because Invoice number, estimate number or proposal number they don't have any comma.
