We have the ability to schedule full-text re-indexing, but not the initial full-text indexing, or the upfront OCR text shots.

When multiple documents are stored into a file cabinet at the same time, the initial OCR text-shot creation is killing performance for users. Uploading scans takes 3-5 minutes per document and sometimes times out. This is making the system unusable for the end users.

Also with workflows that are created to move multiple documents to another file cabinet, the same problem occurs. It seems that it has to recreate the text-shots and also the full-text indexing for the same documents within the new cabinet.

We need to be able to postpone these operations until during off-hours.

Many customers have years of paper backlog to be scanned and do not have the equipment or personnel to get caught up in-house, so they have to utilize a 3rd party to do their scanning and indexing for them. But pushing those scanned images and the associated text -shot creation makes the process unacceptable.
