Add a feature to automatically update the xml files in file cabinet to match database changes
It would be very helpful if .xml files were kept in sync with the DocuWare index database automatically.
As it stands now, if there is database corruption that exists beyond the timeframe of database backups, any index edits can be lost.
This feature would also help future upgrades and data moves from having corrupt or missing index data. We recently discovered a file cabinet with database and xml issues. It was caused by some improper handling of past upgrades. The issues could have been minimized by syncing the xml files with the database.

Google Analytics OR use of analytics report to track the users
Hello,
Our organization uses google analytics for reporting on all our websites and applications. We would like to incorporate DocuWare into this reporting. Is this available already or planned?

Audit Log Program
I know that you can turn on audit logging for access, delete, edit etc.. of documents, but it is put in notepad files and get overwritten and difficult to search. Would be a great feature to have an application that does this.

An Index Field can be created so that document stored in the file cabinet can be automatically numbered e.g fin-001, fin-002, and next doc.
I want a situation whereby document given a unique id e.g fin-001, fin-002 should automatically store the next document as fin-003 when an index field is created for this purpose.
2 votesThis is partly added in version 6.10. You can add automatic numbering, but without the prefix “fin-”. This will be added in a later version.

Stamp assigned to a user overrides no 'can edit index entries' right
If a user is not granted 'Can Edit Index Entries' FC right, but is assigned a stamp that changes index fields - this should work, so the user can use the stamp, but still can't edit index entries via info dialog.
Currently, if user has no 'Can Edit Index Entries' but has 'Apply new stamp' - the stamp can't be applied if it changes indices.2 votesVielen Dank für Ihre Idee. Disabling "Allow Filtering" should not also kill select lists
In DocuWare 6.9 File Cabinet Search Dialogs, unchecking the "Allow Filtering" option also disables all select lists for that field except for the Standard Select List. Why? When the option is checked in the Admin Tool, it is enabled by default in the DW Web Client. This forces users who use the drop down list to first uncheck the "Filtering" option in the index field while searching in order to select an entry whenever the Standard Select list is not being used.

Add tool to allow use to create their own signatures just like they are able to create their own baskets.
Allow users to create their own signatures much like they can create their own baskets without having to go through the DocuWare Administrator.

Thank you for your idea. We added it to our collection of ideas and features and will further investigate it. We currently cannot say exactly when this idea will be implemented. As soon as we have more information we will update its status.

More options in "Show User Rights" in admin tool
It would be nice to see more rights in the "Show User Rights" menu in the admin tool. Examples of desired rights would be Document Trays, Stamps, templates, assigned configurations (user/admin rights)...

Additional fields for users
Integrate additional fields for users in administrative management, such as their manager, department or position. Allow these fields to be used in index profiles to filter documents.

Ability for Azure AD User Sync not to overwrite usernames once they have been manually adjusted
In User Sync V2 Tool, which is the only available option for user synchronization in DocuWare Cloud, when synchronizing the users with Azure Cloud, you can only use the UNP and the EmailPrefix for usernames in DocuWare. Those two attributes contain the same data and are not at all user-friendly options for usernames to work with. When you adjust the usernames manually to get usable usernames in DocuWare, the next time the Sync job runs all the usernames are being overwritten. Overwriting the usernames practically does not allow using anything other for username in DocuWare apart from the e-mail prefix.…

Expand the SQL scripting window in the Deletion policy.
Expand the SQL scripting window in the Deletion policy. This should be easy to make the dialog box expandable via a code change and not fixed size. Seems like this was just an oversight.

Allow multi-column lists to be used in stamps
When assigning a multi-column list to a stamp value, it only selects the first value that shows up in the list instead of displaying all columns that may exist. It would be nice to allow multi-column lists in stamps to be displayed and searched on.

Preconfigured solutions is a very good tool. But it is now impossible to import a cloud solution into an on-premises system.

One-Time Scheduling Option
On any job that includes a schedule option ... allow for a selection that would do a one-time only execution of the job.
For example I have a use case where I want to schedule a transfer job for my migration from on-premise to the cloud to happen overnight ... I'm not always available to manually kick off overnight jobs and putting them on a "fake" schedule is a less than ideal solution (I don't want to run the risk of duplicating data if I forget to disable the schedule in time). I have 8 years of data to move…

Stamp Date without Index Field assignment
Stamps were more or less recently moved to the Configuration page.
However, not the entire functionality was moved.
In 7.3 stamping dates onto a document has weird behavior:If you want a user input field to be a date picker field, the only way to do that is to link it to an index field. If you want to just have a date stamped onto the document, but not have it in an index field you are out of luck - you can only create text fields without linking to an index field.
If you want a stamp to empty…
