Add a recycle bin for any deletions taking place on docuware with a configurable retention date in the bin.
Add a recycle bin for to store anything deleted for x amount of days

Ability to Print from a Docuware Forms submission.
The ability to submit a Docuware Form, to have it populate to a merge form, as well as print locally, if needed.

Allow entering a description when scanning batches of documents to a tray
Users are accustomed to entering a description when scanning multiple documents to a tray and this later helps them select them for indexing. This description may be a batch number, a date, a location from where the documents were received, the operator's name or any text at all that helps organize the documents. The current functionality only allows editing the document name after it is already in the tray and only one document at a time.

Email Notifications - File Cabinet vs Individual Users
Docuware admins should be able to set a single email notification template for a file cabinet. Currently, admins must create an email notification for each user in the cabinet, which requires a lot of administrative overhead.
Please allow the ability to set a notification template at the file cabinet level.

Allow for reset of pre-indexed fields in Document Tray
When using the autofill indexing to store multiple documents in the document tray to a file cabinet, using the "Reset" button does not clear all fields in the store dialog. Understanding that this may be by design, there should be an option to reset all fields or just the fields that don't apply to the pre-filled index fields.

Add .ptx files as a supported file
Adding .ptx file format would be beneficial to Docuware because there are law firms and court systems that use this type of file format for their records. This is a standard form of file type for law firms, attorneys and court houses across the nation.

Add the ability to set a stamps max width/height
Currently, stamps with lots of text in Form Fields for notes, long names, etc flow off the page and are difficult to view as the stamp text is placed on one single line. If the user enters 255 characters of text to the field of the stamp, they cannot place stamp on document.
Suggestion is to to allow for a Max Width and Max Height options when creating a stamp. This will allow a user to enter as much text as desired and the content of the stamp will still be visible on the page.

Utilize one of the Intelligent Index fields to name the documents in the tray
Many documents land in the tray to be indexed but sorting through them to find a specific document would be simplified if one of the Intelligent Indexing fields was displayed as the doc name.

Right Click on a value to search for all related documents based on this value
From the file cabinet, right click on any of the values and have ability to search for all related documents based on this value in this category. For example if Status = Indexed and I wanted to quickly search for all documents with this same value even though my search dialog had be set to another search type, then i can initiate a new search dialog from the right click and a drop down option.

I suggest Docuware restore some features lost with the last upgrade
When uploading new documents, the "pre-upgraded" version would show a window with the number of documents that it was uploading. This was helpful because it would help me keep track of what documents I uploaded and what I had left in my folder. It was a double check to make sure I didn't miss anything.
The other thing that is new that is NOT a good thing - when multiple documents are uploaded and unstapled, the document name changes and all unstapled documents are now labels "split document". This is awful as you can no longer find a document in…

Allow clipping files already in storage
Presently documents that are in the inbox/tray can be only be clipped to a document in storage, or else another document in the inbox/tray. Not sure why that is. I had the idea that one person could be responsible for inputting and indexing AP invoices, and another for inputting and indexing checks. A third person would be responsible for clipping the checks to the invoice, verifying the check(s) match the invoice, then stamping it as Paid. But once a document is in storage it cannot be clipped to another document in storage. This is fairly limiting.

Increase the result view limit for tray and search.
Currently only can view 100 documents, we need more , We use documents with more than 2000 sheets.

Due Date from Start
It would be nice to be able to configure a Due Date from when the workflow Starts. The problem is that every time a new TASK begins the due date has to start over. I have had several clients who have lets say a total of 25 days to complete a workflow.

show number of full text results within a document
Hi, When using full text search for key word(s), it would be really useful to know how many results with the document there are. We can see the number of documents it exists in but not the number of times within that document

I suggest that you allow rearranging index fields on the "edit index field" screen.
Currently, the list of index fields shown on the "edit index field" screen are in order of when they were created. It would be great to allow rearranging of the list so they are in a more user friendly order, and not just "this is how I added them into Docuware" order.

Add the ability to see the Bookmarks on the Viewer
We work with multi-page technical documents that have pre-defined bookmarks to ease the section navigation. The viewer within Docuware doesn't allow for bookmarks to be displayed and users have to surf through 600+ pages in order to find the content. It would be ideal if it could show the contents the same way Adobe Reader does.
We implemented a workaround where users would download the content and open it in it's native application but it is very inefficient and causes a high level of unnecessary network traffic.4 votesThank you for your idea. Prompt to save when index entries have been changed
When using the viewer with index entries, any changes are not saved unless you press the save button.
If you close the document without pressing the save button you are NOT prompted to "Save Changes".This could cause problems for users if they
1. Open the Document
2. Change the index entries (but not press save)
3. Make an annotation on the document
4. Close the Document
They would be prompted to “Save Changes” this could be very misleading, as they would think they are saving all changes and not just the annotation.4 votesThank you for your idea. Open Linked Documents in new viewer by defualt
Need the ability to have linked documents open in a new viewer by default. I know it is possible to right click and open the linked document in a new viewer but this is inefficient.

Reset on Store Dialog keeps previous index entries ... Add a clear all option
Reset in DW6 resets changes made to preindexed index entries (this is a good feature) -- Reset in DW5 removed all of the data in the index fields. Suggest adding the option to do the same in DW6 ... such as adding a clear entries button.
