  1. Put Intelligent Indexing as a Column (like in Store Dialogs table).

    Show Intelligent Indexing lightbulb as a column for Document Trays (the same way they appear for Store dialogs). This little thing will help so much IRL - like when there are dozens of trays.

  2. Add an audit tool to locate Jobs

    Import jobs can run under multiple users on the server and/or on any workstation. Currently there's no way to find them without logging in on each machine with each user to find connections and jobs. I recommend adding a tool on the server to audit all jobs connecting its incoming Desktop App receipts like Imports.

  5. Allow use of SQL Queries to get a "Predefined" search term.

    I would like to be able to use an SQL query to get the value for a predefined search field.

    For instance, to be able to say that the Location field is locked to "SELECT LOCATION from dbo.USER_INFO where USERNAME = 'CURRENTUSERNAME'"

    This would allow the predefined fields to be much more useful. The current set of five options is not very thorough, and not extensible at all. Being able to use those five predefined options in SQL queries would open up a much wider scope. Especially if they could be used in conjunction with the index data of the…

    I would like to be able to define a notification that would reoccur. For example when a document is on hold my users want to be reminded daily.

  7. Make own reports regarding invoices awaiting approval

    Would be good if there was a function where you could make your own reports with reference to invoices on hold within the DocuWare system.

    It could be a good idea improve the security access to web client adding a kind of captcha to avoid the brute force attack.

  9. Allow More Granular Export Permissions

    Allow Administrators to limit the options in exporting documents from a cabinet such as only allowing Printing of Document with Annotation or Downloading a document with Annotation.

    Some files are stamped for validation purposes and made Available to users. This is to avoid Using the document for other purposes other than what it is intended for.

    Allowing them to download without the stamps pose a risk of them using the document for other purposes.

  10. Add capability to store a document in a cabinet, yet have it linked to any number of other locations (virtual cabinets)

    Your Windows client is similar. Store a document once and have it viewable in multiple locations without copying to the other locations.

  11. make annotations private so only the creator can modify or delete it

    all the users that acces to a document can modify all annotations, it will be better to make possible to force only the creator to modify or delete his annotations

    Reposition the word "By" on the QA stamp. The stamp would then read "Username, date/time, QA'd by user initials"

  13. Edit buttons for active workflow tasks

    I need to add the "check out to document tray" and other buttons for an active workflow task. We need the possibility to edit what is visible "In menu" and what is viewed as a button for workflow tasks. This is actually an option for every result lists. There would be nice to remove the reasign button here as well..

    Part 1 is already completed and available (at least in version 6.9) We added the second part to change the available functionality to our collection of ideas and features and will further investigate it. We currently cannot say exactly when this idea will be implemented. As soon as we have more information we will update its status.

  14. Add search criteria and SQL statements to search dialogs and/or result lists (similar to task lists)

    Some of our clients have changed their company names over time.
    When this happens, a new CustomerNumber is given in our database to them. It is required very often to search all the documents from one customer, including those indexed with the previous names (linked now by the Original Customer Number only).

    Users should find all of the required documents by typing the current or any Company name the customer has had.

    This could be done by doing 2 things:
    1. adding somewhere the SQL statements capability and
    2. allowing those statements to take the values from the search dialog…

  15. Make "Public an Idea" button/forum more visible/accesible

    For dw administrators at least...
    I remember they taught me there was some place where I can suggest things to be developed into features. When ideas came up, it took me quite some time to find it (until someone told me where it was)

    It is very important for legal purposes that Docuware Import and Webscan could put a time stamp to the documents in combination with the "sign document" (document certification) option.

  19. CDN with Fallback to Local Script Repository

    Starting with DW 6.6 Hotfix 8 DocuWare the Web.Settings flag "UseLocalCDN" has been set to "false". Quote: "For better performance you should disable this flag. If the flag is disabled, the fat JavaScript libraries are downloaded from Google CDN orother CDNs." There should be a fallback option just in case external CDN are blocked or unavailable.

  20. Use of SQL statements in SmartConnect, Printer and Import

    In the same way use of SQL statement option is available for C2O configuration, it should be made available in indexing for Import, Printer and SmartConnect
