  1. Microsoft Office plugin

    When saving a document created in MS Office, we can directly save to a Docuware Tray/Cabinet. Users who are restricted to save locally would benefit from this feature.

    With upcoming version 7.6, the forms module will support "Multi Column Select Lists". This means:

    - Assign multi-column-select-lists to dropdowns

    - configure filters between dropdowns

    - autofill a dropdown in case filtering leads to only one remaining value

  4. Will we ever have the capability of having line items in a web form?

    Would be really nice if we could define line items in the database, and allow multiple lines to be filled in a form...

    Change Notification Level:
    By default for every Job a tray notification will be shown (default value is “Info”) where the DocuWare Desktop Apps are installed. This tray notifications will reduce the performance. To lower the CPU/RAM load it is possible to change the tray notification level.
    This setting can be found in DocuWare.Desktop.exe.config in section in the program files folder of DocuWare Desktop

  6. filter multi-column select lists in the new table field based on the value of another field

    Really happy to see the new table field. It would be great to add the capability to filter the select lists that are in the table based on the value of another field in the dialog. eg. The user picks "Accounting" from the department field and DocuWare filters the GL codes in the select lists in the table field to only show the GL codes tied to the accounting department. Adding this capability to the new table field would provide a more consistent user experience across the platform.

  7. Right-click copy/paste function in dialogs.

    Users should have the ability to right-click copy/paste within all dialogs. Some end users are unaware of the Ctrl+V/C method which leads to frustration. Having the traditional method would make things easier for some users.

  8. Document Splitting Name Issue

    When using the splitting feature while scanning batches of documents, it would be nice if the document naming used _01, _02 etc so that the documents could be sorted by the name in the tray for indexing in the same order in which they were scanned.

    Hello Dan,

    When you split by a fixed number of pages the number naming is depending on the amount of documents resulting from the split (if there are more than ten documents: it will be two digits numbering). This is not possible when splitting by content.

    There is another way however:

    In “Indexing” you can select a Dynamic entry called that can be used/added as indexing term which will result in the numbering 0000001, 0000002…

    If you enter this entry in the field that is used as document name in the File Cabinet (of the store dialog used) it will also be displayed as a document name in the Document tray.

  9. Massapproval

    Mass approval or Massengenehmigung im Workflow erwünscht. Wenn eine Reihe von Dokumente zur Genehmigung anstehen und diese ausreichend bekannt sind, wäre eine Massengenehmigung erwünscht.

  11. Store Metadata (date, user, etc) should be available to display in result lists

    Store Date, Store User & other metadata should be available as a viewable fields on any result list. Its stored in the database, in some cases it would be hugely helpful for users to see who stored a document and when. The only way to do that now is to create duplicate fields and populate them during the storage procedure. The data is already there so we shouldn't have to do that.

    Active Directory synchronization should sync DocuWare user account status: change status in AD to "disabled" should deselect DocuWare user account "active" status and release the corresponding named seat license, if assigned.

  15. Exclude form data from stamp

    We should have the option to exclude form data in stamp. We do not need to see form entries in the stamp all the time. Form entries can make the stamp too large and the information I the form is not needed on the stamp.

  16. Ability to 'unstamp' a document once it's been stamped

    Self explanatory. Sometimes documents are 'stamped' incorrectly and it would be nice to be able to delete the stamp.

    Thank you for your contribution.
    Your idea is already available if the stamp is set to be saved manually. Then you can set the stamp and remove it again before saving. When you close the document, you are asked about saving the stamp or you can click the save button.

    It would be great if we could add a column in the search dialog to include a total page counts for documents.

  18. Allow wildcard for store dialog select list or increase # of entries that can be viewed in drop down.

    I suggest that DW cloud allow wildcards to narrow down select lists. I have a user with a long select list and it is very difficult to get to the entries after 1-50, especially since the first 15-20 characters on the select list options are all identical. Either make the select list view in cloud longer or allow * to narrow down field.

  19. Expand on the "Send Request" feature

    The "Send Request" feature seems to already contain a lot of functionality, but for some reason the access has been made limited. The ability to export "Send Requests" with user, decision, and show everyone who still needs to make a decision would be extremely valuable. It appears all the data is collected in the database, we just don't have access to it.

  20. Have the ability to use calculations within Forms

    If filling out expense or check requests or anything with money or numerical value, would be great to use calculations to total the fields.
