Allow extended storage areas for files such as Quickbooks Company Files that do not get renamed to a GUID internally.
Quickbooks files spawn multiple files when opened and they cannot be renamed like for example to a GUID on the raw storage disk. Other companies have an 'extended' storage area where these types of files can be stored with the benefit of being searched but not managed otherwise. This would be beneficial for a Document Storage Management system.

Introduce a Brief Course on the Business Use Cases of Workflow
The LMS provides several courses for DSC's on the components of DocuWare Workflow and in fact a pre-requisite for the course is a DSC certification. It would be ideal that a short business course is designed for DSAs to aid them with understanding several business uses of workflow and mention them during their engagements with prospects. The business uses of workflow are indeed embedded in the various case studies listed on the DocuWare website . it would be ideal to so as to say extract such cases and centralize them. Delete Stamp annotation by REST API
There is a REST API for deleting text annotations, but there is no API URI for deleting stamps. Please add one.

Deleting a stamp is not possible in DocuWare in any case. That is the reason, why there is no API Call to delete stamps.

Ability to e sign documents with Adobe Sign
Like DocuSign and VIDSigner integration, Docuware must have an integration with Adobe Sign. It's a big esignature provider in the world and a lot of customers have a subscription with they and they don't want change of provider. We've lost a lot of bussiness for this reason.

Allow storer to select "store document in black and white" when scanned in color
Documents stored in color are much larger than those in black and white. Allow user to require documents to be stored only in b/w, even if this causes a color document to be converted to b/w pdf prior to storing. Should be able to be over-ridden by authorized users.

Move document trays configuration to User Management
Add a tab for Document Trays in User management so it is consolidated in one place. This would make managing document tray permissions much easier.

Allow drag and drop to Outlook e-mails for sending documents
I get a lot of requests from users that would like the option to drag and drop documents from the DocuWare webclient (i.e. from a search result) directly into an Outlook e-mail.
Currently, the only option is to right click and Send by E-mail. However this option creates a new, empty, e-mail and freezes up the whole Outlook client until the e-mail is sent. This renders our users unable to respond to document requests or to attach documents into ongoing conversations - which is the case most of the time when a document is needed.

Right now, there is no possibility to change this behavior. DocuWare is using a system functionality from Windows to send an email. Outlook is blocking access to the main window when using this system functionality.

Stamp Digital Certificate
Would be great to have the Digital Certicate linked to the DopcuWare Stamp same way done in document processing.

Stamps available for document trays individually
Currently, you only have the feature all file cabinets/document trays for assigning stamps.
We had to change from all file cabinets/documents trays to a specific file cabinet, and in doing so the users lost that ability to stamp in their document trays.
There process is harder to stamp once in the file cabinet do to large volumes of documents being stored and having to handle the document multiple times due to this feature not being able to be assigned only to document trays.Please allow for this. Thanks

Choose if a File Cabinet Document is brought in As Stored or converted to PDF
Docuware has been inconsistent with Trays. Some versions convert all documents going into the tray from the file cabinet to PDF and current versions do not.
There are good reasons for both.
In the case of a legacy system that was once all TIFF images this is very helpful to bring them up-to-date.
In the case of loosing the ability to maintain a records integrity, it should not be allowed.
If you allowed administration to choose a Trays ability to convert or not would allow both.

DocuWare does not convert document types during import or storage. A document is only converted to PDF when annotations are merged to an image file in the Viewer.

Add the option to select a merge form to send from the email task
When dealing with a webform with multiple merge forms, DocuWare does not have the function to select between them in order to only send one document out, and later in the workflow to add the second document to send out , lets use the following scenario , a customer needs to pay for a service , thus a invoice needs to be generated and sent out, after proof of payment was received DocuWare workflow needs to generate a receipt of payment, using the same workflow with multiple merge forms.

This seems to be more a configuration issue as this could be already done today.

Add manual entry feature to Smart Connect
In our environment, the OCR portion of Smart Connect has proven to be extremely unreliable. We would like to request a feature where you can enter a Smart Connect key combination and a dialog window pops up into which you can manually enter a search term or phrase (such as a patient ID) and have a search performed using that term.

Mainly because there will be new funtionality with the next DocuWare Version 7.4 in Smart Connect and I believe this functionality will help you solving your desired use case. There will be a functionality where Smart Connect will not rely on OCR but search for the element you have highlighted in the software.

Additional User Flexibility with the 'Edit' Function
Instead of 'Edit' button, replace with (or add) 'Edit With...' to allow user to choose which application to use for that particular file/document.
For example, a PDF file. My default is Acrobat Reader free version but I also have a Pro version of Power PDF aka eCopy (Nuance/Kofax). The DW Viewer works great. "Edit" opens it in Acrobat (default). "Edit With..." could open it in eCopy to apply a signature stamp, watermark or do some document assembly (insert pages, delete pages, etc) then close to save changes in DocuWare instead of having to bring it back into a Tray or…

Print selected pages option
Add ability to print or email selected pages or page range. Currently the only option is to print the entire document or the page loaded in the viewer.

ADD AUTOINDEX JOBS TO DOCUMENT HISTORY
PLEASE ADD THE AUTOINDEX JOB HISTORY TO THE DOCUMENT HISTORY INFORMATION. ATTACHED THE SIMPLE IDEA.
THERE IS NO WAY OF KNOW IF/WHAT/WHEN AUTOINDEX HAS RAN, AND WHAT IT HAS DONE.

Index changes from Autoindex just show up in the standard document history as index change. -
Deny users to create a "Personal Stamp".
Currently, Any user can create a personal stamp and update the document(s) metadata without any validation.
From the Configuration page, "Configure Stamp" permission under functional profile doesn't affect "Personal Stamps", and the user will still have the permissions to create stamps and use it.
In the case we have a workflow process with one task contain two decisions (Approved, Rejected), the decision will affect "status" filed to be updated as (approved, rejected).
