Option to remove the "reset password" link when the notification license prevents it from working
The reset password link on the Web client login page appears to be sending a message to the user to reset their password but isn't working because we don't have the "Notification License" according to DocuWare Support. I recommend providing the ability to remove this link in the next version to prevent confusion and failed password reset attempts for users having password and login issues.

Edit a stored zip file
Please restore the ability to edit a stored zip file. We lost this functionality in going from v7.1 to v7.5. Now we get a "file type is not supported error".

There was no change between the mentioned versions. But be aware, that zip-files can only be edited with a third-party applications like 7-zip. Using the default Windows Explorer will not work and has never worked before.

bulk import
Rather than using Desktop Client Import Tool to get new docs in, can we bulk upload the docs to the FTP folder to avoid the slow processing times?
Wehave to import 50,000 documents and it is taking weeks to bulk import.

Chris2 votesSure you can upload to the FTP folder, but you cannot do any document recognition by this. The slow processing comes mainly because the Desktop Import does text recognition and already stores the files with index entries to a file cabinet.

Searching Multiple File Cabinets at Once with Business Server License
This functionality is available with Professional and Enterprise but not Business. It used to be available in Business with the thick client but it has since been removed. The only option is to upgrade the client from Business to Professional but this is expensive for a small client using Business. We recently upgraded a client on Business and they are very upset that the functionality was taken away.

DocuWare administration application and fully qualified domain name (FQDN)
Currently, DocuWare administration application is not able to connect to the DocuWare server if we mention the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the DocuWare server instead of Server IP Address in the Docuware Administration login screen.
We are mentioning the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the DocuWare server because the PC from which the user is accessing Docuware administration application is a part of a different domain than the server.
It would be great if we can mention the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the DocuWare server instead of the IP address in the Docuware Administration login…

Unfortunately, due to several factors we are currently not able to plan this idea for a future version. We are completely concentrating on our web based configurations in the future. And in my opinion, the DocuWare Administration should be able to work already with the name. We use this for our cloud customers. -
Delete Function
Is there anyway we can remove the "Delete from tray" as a choice. If we need to delete a document from the tray we can always right click and choose delete. It is causing problems for us, eighteen indexed documents were deleted and now we have to rescan and index.

Unfortunately, due to several factors we are currently not able to plan this idea for a future version. Document Trays are personal workspaces for users. If you want to prevent deletion, please store the documents to a file cabinet. -

Limit Web Basket Access
It would be nice to be able to grant or deny read/write access to the web baskets. Currently, it is either you have access to do everything or no access.
We have users that are required to have access to a common web basket, however, they accidently end up deleting other users documents stored in the web basket. Admin should be able to deny delete access for users. They should be able to view and post documents, but not be able to delete documents from the basket.

Allow for the same value to be searched in multiple fields
Allow for a value e.g. 'Bob Jones' to be searched in multiple fields. Essentially its an OR statement in SQL. Support said that would be a stellar idea to allow for versatile search options. We know we can search multiple cabinets, but to search for multiple fields within a cabinet would be great!

Add date to label
Add a date to labels when storing. This would improve the capability to find documents quicker. The dates would coordinate closely with entries to counselor notes in TWIST.

Archivando documentos, obligar a rellenar un índice en función del valor de otro índice
Sería muy interesante poder configurar en un diálogo de almacenamiento la posibilidad de convertir un índice en obligatorio en función del valor introducido en otro índice, es decir, si el campo CAMPO1 tiene valor 'X', entonces en CAMPO2 es obligatorio que introduzca un valor, si CAMPO1 tiene valor 'Y', no es necesario introducir valores en CAMPO2

Leave the Viewer Open After Documents are Stored
Hello. My current task is to upload a batch of documents to my tray, then store them into the cabinet. I go one batch at a time, shift selecting the whole range and storing them one by one. Each time I finish storing a batch, the Viewer window automatically closes. Not a huge deal, but I would love it the viewer window remained open. Thank you.
P.S. Not sure if this is my browser or what. But my Viewer window always opens "restored down", aka not maximized. I would love for the viewer to always open maximized. Thank you very…

You can already upload any file to a document tray.
Maybe you can explain this in more detail.

Select list only fields in SEARCH DIALOG
The support say that searching with a field that have select list only and allow new entries unchecked will work. There should be possible to configure search dialogs to not return the result if the select list is not choosen.

API access to Email Notifications
We have ran into several install requiring customized email notifications. Several have resulted in flaky at best alternative methods. Access to the api would give us more customization to offer to the client.
